Dark Tobacco N°23

A very surprising performance! This one lasts almost a day on my skin, and for just 8 euros! Now forget about the name "red tobacco" as there is no tobacco, just iris and amber and almost an orange smelling note on top.

Wow suprise this one. Sweet and smokey, moderate, wel minus moderate but now days not unusual with designers stuff. It's cheap so spray it away

A blind buy for me, and I am beyond words thrilled to find this cheapie! The best edt when it comes to value for money! In the Netherlands (in 2017), this costs only EUR 7.99 for an EDT 100ml. This opens with a nice blast of iris, quite similar to Dior Hommme Intense / Valentino Uomo intense. Dry down is quite sweet, amber is projecting extremely well. The name is misleading, as there is no tobacco in it. Which made me doubt to buy this at first, as I am not a fan of tobacco. Improvement point: this smells somewhat feminine as it is lacking "manly" notes such as cedar, vetiver, cypress, etc. This makes me prefer Dior Homme Intense. I recommend it if you like sweet fragrances (be aware there is a serious amount of amber in this) and are not afraid to wear a perfume which is not entirely masculine.

The comment below mine is very correct. Dark Tobacco? What tobacco? This isn't a tobacco fragrance and you shouldn't expect it to be. Anyways, it's a pretty good night fragrance for the colder days, got it two years ago and I use it occasionally. Basic and inoffensive to most, but it gets the job done. Nice iris notes, and the leather + amber thing is there in the background too. It can be a little bit disappointing due to just how little it offers, even I find myself saying "Really? That's it? Aww...", but it's cheap and not a commitment. If you like iris and don't have anything better at home for a somewhat serious party, this is good.

This is very good! My favorite from the entire Master Perfumer's collection (men and women's). Despite the name there's no tobacco in this at all. I had a bottle a few years ago and gifted that to my uncle, but I started missing it so much that I rebought it. Fortunately, that's very easy to do as it's only 10 euros (used to be 8). It projects a bit initially and after an hour or 2 it's mainly a skin scent and it stays like that for a few more hours. Overall a good fragrance which becomes amazing considering the price point. This has a vibe similar to DHI for a fraction of the price.

Pretty crazy this can be had for so cheap. Holds the middle between ZARA 9.0 and DHI, so I guess it's the closest to VUI.

Dior homme intense? Valentino Uomo Intense? It has the same lipsticky iris. A pretty good iris too. However, the background is all buttery amber, no musk, no gourmandish hints. I think this is a shame because I do feel the iris is a bit naked and could use some more powdery musky support. (Also whats up with this brand and its names? Dark? Tabacco? Wasn't tabacco the people named this have been smoking, thats for sure.)

First impression aka sniff from a bottle at friends house: sweet with a body, smoky, a bit spicy, dry, warm & welcoming, sexy. In short - ah-mazing! Anything and everything I've been craving for. Second and third opinion, now that I own a bottle, aka 3 days after I smelt it first: dry, floral, a bit herbal, warm. It's a lot of iris, something a little rubbery, and after a long wait the amber arrives, graciously. I miss the tobacco so generously promised in the name. I wish the iris was a little less prominent and I'm a little impatient about the amber. For some unknown reason I hoped it to be deeper, spicier, a tad more seductive... no caramel nor patchouli though, thank you very much. ☺ As for the iris. It's sweet and dry, and occasionally reminds me of violets. So much so that it could be Ellen Tracys Bronze's older sister. And Lolita Lempicas cousin. Yup, this is how sweet it is. And how feminine. No clue how it would smell on a man; curious to let someone to test it. It's a nice little gem, close to the skin (I think), well behaved and a little quirky.

I like this one the most of the line....... but it lists no tobacco! Notes are iris, leather and amber. Pricerange: Cheapie Available @ Kruidvat: € 3,99 for a 30 ml, € 7,99 for a 100 ml. The best 3 of the line until now in my opinion: Dark Tobacco No 23 Blue Spice No 25 Black Wood No 28
