Rose N°8

Bought it because of the price, together with Iris which I know I like. I wore Iris all the time when I was younger, though that has turned from a love to a like now I'm 30. Rose sounded like a more grown up perfume, and since I'm more into mature perfumes lately thought I'd blind buy. It's a bit flowery for my taste. I love rose, but preferably paired with vanilla and powdery notes. This is just roses. Like the white and pink ones that I found and smelled in grandma's garden when I was younger. Flowery and a tiny touch of something green which I can't identify, it reminds me a little of 4711? I don't like aquatics very much, nor heavy flowery perfumes. This is not too much of either of those, yet it manages to be fresh in a ladylike way. And in a way that I can appreciate. I paired it with my little H&M vanilla layering cheapy and I really liked it that way. Also combined with Iris it's very good. Just now I've come out of the shower and I didn't feel like my usual powdery-vanilla-y perfumes. I wanted something fresh. So I grabbed the Rose again, no layering - just like it is. And as I'm sitting on the sofa, still rosy and fresh from the shower, it's the perfect little addition to a lounging session. I can see myself wearing this more often after a shower, perhaps before bed, or on an early spring day. For the price it's a no-brainer.

De op 2 na lekkerste van de hele serie. Althans qua dames geuren. De lekkerste vind ik pearly lotus. Deze staat er helaas nog niet tussen. Maar hopelijk komt dat nog wel. Maar goed, rose is in ieder geval ook goed favoriet. Ik kocht deze geur om te kijken wat ik er van vond eerst in een klein formaat. Maar ik was daar in no time doorheen. Daarom heb ik er nu een grote fles van gehaald maar wat mij betreft had de flacon wel nog groter mogen zijn want ook 50 ML dat jaag ik er zo doorheen. Het feit dat ik dit ook s nachts in bed draag is daar zeker mede de oorzaak van.

A pass for me. Not exactly terrible but it smells musty, unclean and old-fashioned in a bad way to me in the beginning. Planning to gift it away to someone who doesn't hate pair and who might not mind or even think that it smells strange for the first half an hour.

The complete line has been renewed and instead of renumbering they have kept the name and bottles but changed the scent inside completely. As far as I can see the new bottle contains a dupe of Lancome Idole.
