Asian Inspiration

A few days later: I am still very happy with this fragrance. And the packaging is so beautiful that I have not had the heart to throw it out or even to store the box without the bottle. So every time I want to use it I have to very cautiously remove the carton ring, take the bottle out, use it, put it back, fit the carton ring again. It is worth it though. :-D I blind bought this scent based on reviews because I love vetiver. So much so that even though I am a woman I always keep decants or samples of Encre Noire (the masculine variety) at hand. It is really nice here, not too musty, although to be honest there are days I actually like that facet too. However, today is a hot and muggy day and luckily the green vetiver note is quite refreshing. What I did not realize was how much I like benzoin, it is just wonderful in this scent. It sweetens after maybe 40 minutes and provides a nice contrast with the vetiver. I will have to wait until the dry-down but I have half a mind to layer this with Paradiso by Cavalli. That one has a great pine-cypress base that may play well with the pine-benzoin-vetiver of this scent and shift it more toward the feminine side. For now I am very happy. The beginning was a bit too masculine but right now it just smells so good.

I absolutely love this. From the opening through the drydown it is so perfect that it could be my Holy Grail.....except for one thing. It completely disappears on me in an hour. I'm so sad because the bottle is beautiful, the scent is sort of sweet but not, spicy but not, citrus but not and most importantly does not have that savory base that I cannot stand. It never goes ambroxen on me even though it's got oud listed as a middle note. I might just buy this for the bottle and to enjoy re-applying it all the time until it's gone. It really is interesting and my favorite so far trying Merchant of Venice. I have a full bottle of Liberty and the Trial Kit that I've tried Byzantine Saffron, Mandarin Carnival, Suave Petals (like but it's too soft and fleeting) and now Asian Ispiration 💗

I cannot stop thinking about the review on this one from another site, it is said that this perfume reminds the writer about asian soup, yes, asian soup... Hence i was thinking that maybe this perfume would smell like a tom yum soup (i love tom yum soup)... For better or worse, i blindbought this perfume, and like the other reviewers said, this is a very green vetiver perfume. Yes it smells a bit like the leaves on a phò soup from vietnam (not tom yum), but it's not gourmandish per se. It's a vetiver fragrance through and through. The vetiver though, is not bitter, it's fragrant, and i suspect i comes from the orange. For me it's a bit linear, it doesn't morph much, but it's okay, I still love it... The bottle is really gorgeous though....

This smells 100% like a Chinese herbal remedy shop, the Caradmom comes off like realistic Ginger here! It is shockingly like Hermes Voyage which smells like Ginger to Asian people (none of that marketing smells like 'ginger' from Boss Bottled which is more lemon spritz than ginger), except not as fresh and airy as Voyage, more earthy and spicy like how ginger root smells. It even has that bitterness that accompanies an asian health tonic, although very sedated(pun-intended).

Asian Inspirations is a simple and refine contrast between the fruity notes of bitter orange and the spicy tones of sage. The woody signature of white cedar merges with the scented notes of benzoin from Siam. It is a new audacious journey for a man to discover the unexplored scents of the most classic vetiver. For me the quality of this house is very similar to Xerjoff, it is a wonderful perfume, I wonderful nicho house.

Summer fragrance. I tried it in winter and thought it was ok, but now I love it. And yes, it does remind me somewhat of Hermes' Voyage.

Enchanting. Mysterious. Different. Green. Places where there is still clear air. Holiness. Ancient.

It's chai tea. Sweet milk, herbs and spices. Awesome scent for winter and autumn, very warm.

Walking downtown to work wearing your favorite formal outfit during a warm summers morning sipping your sweet iced tea. Life is good. This opens with a very clean, citrusy, and spicy cardamom, bitter orange, and sage. Very classy yet not in your face and heavy. As it dries down it becomes a contrast between the spices like pepper, nutmeg, and cardamom and a lovely assortment of woody notes including cedar, oud, and vetiver while gaining this benzoin resinous sweetness as a backbone. It keeps its refined nature while being casual about it. This is good, but lacks a certain wow factor for me. It's super versatile during the day, but because of it being a jack of all trades kind of scent it lacks that extra punch I was really hoping for. That being said, I took my 5 mL decant of it back home with me when I visited for the weekend and my mom really loved this stuff, so to each their own. This is super easy to wear and would make a great gift for someone 30+ looking for a versatile scent for the warmer months. Unisex. Seems overpriced for a full bottle imo. Moderate performance but projects better than expected, but a nice ethereal silage to it. 7.4/10

vetiver is a very strong, Very green smell.

This perfume makes me thing of a cabinet full of herbs, essential oils and magic potions. It’s very aromatic, the most proeminent note being the sage. I don’t sense any oud or leather, it’s a quite soft fragrance that can be worn all year round. It’s also a bit spicy which makes it perfect for layering with gourmand scents. It sits quite close to the skin, making it a more intimate scent, but I don’t mind as I feel like it fits this scent profile. It gives you an overall calming feeling, like walking into a thailandese spa, I think the name quite fits the fragrance really well.

Nice fragrance with a very noticeable vetiver note, fresh and green. It's not overcomplicated. Basically I mostly smell fresh vetiver and sweet benzoin with a hint of sage. It makes a gently weird combo. For my habits it smells more masculin than feminine, but it's easy to wear anyway. I like it. Not very longlasting but I sprayed only once. These bottles are well made and look better in real rather than pictures.

bitter orange, delicate lavender, cedar blended together not in a good way! it could be accepted to some but it doesn't worth it's price to be honest. the bitter orange hits hard on this one, and maybe the vetiver helps that mean oranges to silence the lavender. needs more time maybe!
