Craquelè

A very appealing, easy to wear unisex woody, Saffron and leather beauty. These three notes seem to dominate and the fragrance is quite linear on me. I like how the cypress and incense provide an accent to these three notes otherwise it would have been rather flat. I suspect the peppery freesia has a similar function. Very well blended and smells good quality. I think some fellas might find this a bit too soft and think it's too feminine. Well, that was my fellas and brothers comment. They both liked it though. I would certainly wear it and the bottle is gorgeous.

I love this perfume ! It is gorgeous, strong but feminine,the incense and the leather are very present . Very long lasting.

This one smells a like... many other oriental light floral-leather/oud scents out there. And by “light” - I mean the way Tom Ford Oud Wood is light compared to LV Ombré Nomade or Nishane Unutaman or Kilian Dark Lord. It’s unisex. Has some vibes from Byzantium from the same house, and maybe Tuscan Leather. But lo and behold : NO RASPBERRY to ruin the leather, but there’s freesia (not in my usual top favorite notes, but it makes sense here)+musk to bring in some floral freshness and femininity. Violet leaf gives a bit of a sophisticated ozonic edge to the leather (something I like in Fahrenheit) and adds to the masculine touch brought by the thyme. So ... to me that’s a combination of a transparent herbal-leathery touch of Nishane Unutamam, over tons of Jo Malone Freesia&Pear (I think this gives the TF Oud Wood vibes) with ozonic violet leaf to complement the leather. It also reminds me of something else ...like Memo Irish Leather for example, but it’s maybe because of the type of leather used. I am not sure how often I’ll be in the mood for wearing it, but it’s definitely my taste. So, not sure for a FB. But I’m very interested in exploring the scent. It’s easy to notice it in my hair, it is sophisticated and yet somewhat unapologetic. So don’t overspray. If you do it’s going to be a beast mode, because the leather will come forward. If you go easy, it’s like you over-sprayed a freesia fragrance, on your leather jacket. Update: Every time I come back to my sample and a small decant, I love smelling it dab on my had to enjoy. And yet I don’t come to a moment which urges me to wear it as a sotd - that’s the only reason I keep from getting a bottle, although every time I smell it I check the prices :))

I've wanted to test something from the Merchant of Venice house ever since spotting their gorgeous bottles on Fragrantica, so I was stoked when I got a sample of Craquelé as an extra somewhere. And I have to say I wasn't disappointed; the first few times I tried it I thought it was nothing special, but it's a real grower - like any really good perfume, I like it more every time I wear it. It's more feminine than masculine, which is a little surprising since leather and woods are the most dominant notes. But both of those are really soft and smooth in this one, and the saffron note lends it a subtle sweetness that goes wonderfully well with the rest of the composition. It's obviously a high quality creation, elegant but comfortable. This isn't exactly my usual thing, but I'm definitely enjoying it very much - the proof is that I've found myself sniffing my wrists with pleasure quite a lot these last couple of days. So I like Craquelé very much, and if it was any cheaper, it would be on my wish list in a heartbeat. But at this price I have to be head over heels in love with a fragrance to even consider it, which isn't the case, so I'll just add this one to the "glad I got to test it" pile.

A gorgeous and soft leather fragrance. Leather is the most dominant note, but the violet leaf and fresia creates a contrast and add lightness to the composition, while the saffron adds sweetness. An easy to wear, unisex fragrance with great longevity and sillage. Thumbs up from me!

I found I agreed with several reviewers that craquele is a very soft, easy to wear, leather-centric scent. But this is just way too light for me. I had trouble finding it on my wrist even with my nose right on top of it. I am glad I got only a sample. The scent I adore from this company is Byzantium Saffron. It is not nearly so shy and it is a gorgeous composition. I also recommend Andalusian soul and Vinegia 21. Both beautiful. And for a full bottle purchase they have some of the most beautifully designed products—a joy to look at.

Terrible! Smells like a shit!!! 💩 Really! Used this perfume and than can't understand - why around me is smell of shit! Thought - may be I'm step into dog shit?! But then I understood - it is my perfume! Thanks god, i have only 5 ml of this shit... Will give it away as soon as possible! Definitely try before purchasing.

I think maybe Coalita did step in dog shit, as this fragrance is not remotely anywhere close to the smell of any kind of shit and is quite beautiful. I am not a fan of anything animalic and this fragrance is gorgeous.

If Ombre leather and Oud Wood had a baby and the baby was this pleasantly floral, almost rosy thing. More feminine leaning but I will get all the wear I can out of my 2mil sample.

To me this beauty is similar to Tuscan leather with some more wood... more wearable & stays for long enough..quality for sure

incense in this one feels smoky like in smoked cheese.

Leather note is very similar to Amouage interlude man
