Cyprus Shell

I didn’t go into this one expecting much, but wow—it really surprised me. It smells very clearly like summer, but not in a sunscreen way at all. More like a fresh, breezy summer morning. You can actually pick up the salty note, which I really liked. The listed main accords are a bit interesting though—I don’t really get the iris, and I’m surprised “aquatic” or “ozonic” aren’t mentioned. People who love super feminine scents might find it a bit on the masculine side. I’m usually not into unisex fragrances that lean that way either, but I still find Cyprus Shell very wearable. The longevity was amazing on me. Honestly, I can already see this being one of my go-to scents for summer 2026. Absoultely beautiful.

Loved it immediately! Salty pear with a hint of rose and woodsy notes. It's not a beach scent, it's much more deep and sophisticated. Not a safe blindbuy. I was sent a sample with another perfume order and I knew what I'm buying. It's a love for me.

As a Cypriot who really liked the officially listed notes and as a big fan of this house, I blind-bought it and will share my thoughts. A few days later: Short profile: Creamy-powdery with salty-citrusy-fresh-fruity (I know it sounds weird, but it is what it is) First of all, this perfume is both cool and lively/bright. It’s more suitable for summer, but works in spring as well. Sillage is outstanding; longevity is medium-good. It exhibits pronounced evolution across phases; the opening and drydown diverge meaningfully, and both are satisfying in their own right. I’ve got the drydown on one arm and I’m starting fresh on the other for the review: The opening is quite interesting: saline citrus, sweet fruit, and a cold iris all together. I’m usually not into these cute, sweet openings, but here the story takes a very different turn; and from this point on, bingo! The fragrance gradually leans into powder, but never loses the impression it set in the opening. There’s a floral aspect and even a touch of something chypre-like, but to me it’s very balanced and never loud. The drydown features a soft musk, a creamy feel, and a powdery finish, yet there’s also a mandarin-like, slightly sweet citrus note in there. It reminds me of a luxury face cream and it’s very well done. This house has a clear stylistic line, and this perfume stays within it; the brand’s characteristic incense base is mostly present here as well. It strikes me as quite unique; especially because it avoids the imbalance you often get in compositions where “cold” and “warm” facets wrestle. A refined beauty. As for the bottle, I have nothing but praise: a deep, wonderful blue that reminds me of the little glass pieces I bought in Murano.

Lovely lipsticky opening. Buttery iris note, soft and fluffy. Wish this opening lasted longer because I really like it. The dry down is a bit of a letdown for me though. Very “designer”. Reminds me of the dry down of Narciso Rodriguez Rouge. Doesn’t smell identical but has the same type of vibe and similar type or powdery-ness. It’s just okay. If you already own a Glossier You or Sonic Flower type of fragrance and/or Narciso— you don’t need this.

It is a powdery and lipsticky iris on an earthy base. It is a little dry, it evoque sun warmed sand. The pear is not super juicy, watery or fruity. It adds a little of balance, it is a mature pear that graps the iris and add a touch of sweetness and brightness to the composition. After a while, the dusty cosmetic note calms down. I don't find it specially summery (it probably may be a little cloying on hot days). To me it fits better spring sunny but chill days. I don't regret adding it to my collection, but, for now, it lacks that spark that I'm looking when I purchase a FB. In the same cathegory, Sonic Flower is prettier, Fleur de Peau is brighter, Distric of Nolo is deeper. This one is just... ok. A watered down version of those iris scents. Let's see if I appreciate more after a few more tests. EDIT: I'm back here to tell I have found that spark, turns out it was at the drydown. The fragrance is more long lasting than it seems, and becomes a little brighter after a few hours. The makeup-like powder note calms down and its a bright iris musk with pear and a hint of moss. Very pretty in the drydown, I went from "ok" to "like" and starting to love it.

Very pretty Iris and fruity notes scent. It is very feminine and elegant, it feels airy and light. It has great projection. Unfortunately this has a good dose of ambroxan. I feel it can trigger a migraine at any moment. I will wash it off, but it is a shame because the scent is really pretty. Sample it first. Beware if you are intolerant to Ambroxan/Ambrofix/Ambrocrap...they put a large dose here.

the fantasy is nice, the notes are nice, sadly i cannot smell ANYTHING, 10 sprays on the wrist - NOTHING, after spraying nothing, after 1 hour more nothing

beautiful opening, almost perfect. Soft fresh flower, a bit sweet. and it stays. And then it just vanishes. Too expensive, but excellent notes

Does anyone else notice a really high percentage of alcohol smell, piercing upon spray?

I like the color on this one. I hope to try it soon.
