Fenicia

Niche perfumes are larger than life, they grow and develop, every ingredient having its own moment, presenting itself like on a stage, mingling, talking with other ingredients, lingering a bit too long or just passing by, shouting or dozing off, mixing with the weather, with skin chemistry and so on. Or at least I am accustomed this way. So I wanted it a bit more spatial, more sophisticated, hiding itself from me just to make me conquer it. Fenicia is not. It is the same one I applied 5 hours ago. Same strength - which is good, but same "lineup", which is not that good. Nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, rose, saffron, sandal, tonka bean, some chocolate, I'd say - all there from the beginning till the end. Since we are in Venice and we are allowed to play a bit, I'd say it is the perfume of a rich dark green mask, a lady in her early 40, sadly married with the wrong baronet and secretly still in love with his brother, considering to become a nun after having her girls married well. It is mysterious, a bit mystic (some myrrh and frankincense), it can became signature scent since it is safe all year round. All in all, it is a perfect perfume. But not outstanding. I cannot think of me giving 250Euros on a bottle - but I would know how to wear it, I am such a sad figure myself :)

Fenicia is inspired by ancient fragrance recipes from Venice in the Renaissance era. Back then, the independent republic of Venice was one of the wealthiest merchant states in Europe, being in control of much of the trade from East to West. Fenicia transports you back to that time with an opulent blend of warm spices, myrrhe, vanillic benzoin and a touch of citrus and rose. The beautiful packaging and bottle really add to the storytelling. The fragrance changes throughout the weartime and depending on the temperature. Sometimes It's a gentle oriental rose with citrus in colder temperatures. In the heat I get more of the myrrh and balsamic notes somewhat reminiscent of a church. Long lasting and majestic with very strong projection. It is so high in concentration that it glistens on your skin when you spray it. Don't overspray if you are wearing this to work. A fantastic fragrance that is worth it at the price point.

I'm a bit surprised that Fenicia is considered unisex by most, because it seems very feminine to me. It's sweet and spicy in that order. It makes me think of vanilla ice cream with mangoes and cinnamon. Maybe I'm just hungry. It would be wonderful to smell it on a man, though I don't know many who would consider it their type. As one of the reviews noted, it doesn't evolve much, though I'm not disappointed in that. Many scents lose notes I was enjoying as they dry down. This one seems consistent and long-lasting, and fresh but rich enough that it would make a good summer night fragrance. After about two hours, I asked my husband what he thought of the dry-down. He thought he could detect sandalwood, cinnamon, and maybe cloves. His conclusion was that it's so well-blended that nothing predominated. I'd agree, and I love that about it. It still strikes me as sweet first and spicy second and I love it.

Got a 10 ml sample of this perfume and I would say that it was love at first sniff! While there are many notes behind this fragrance, the two that stood out for me was Rose and lemon. The rose is not the "granny" type scent that most of us are avoiding but it was rather soft and powdery. The lemon here is the perfect partner of the rose note which gives this perfume a fresh yet seductive character imo. Performance is outstanding and longevity is superb. 10/10 in my own honest opinion. Definitely bottle worthy!

Evocative perfume,sacred. It opens with a strong note of lemon combined with the elemi resin,the drydown is fascinating, something I had never heard before... he caught me. Fragrance modern and mysterious, myrrh is very obvious, and gives the fragrance a veil of mysticism... really nice! The sillage is strong, longevity(12+h). Sillage: 9./10 Longevity: 10/10 Scent: 9/10 Overall: 8.5/10

A lemony rose studded with spices, light as a feather and pretty as a song🌹🍋🫚🎼🪶 Fenecia is a fresh, floriental beauty with a woody undertone. It’s femme, flirty and mysterious and I really enjoy it, especially in the spring and autumn.

335 I really wanted to love this (I mean look at the bottle). But the bottle is not enough to justify purchasing a weak scent. The composition is fresh and lovely; it’s a lemony floral nutmeg, sweet spices, and light resins scent to me. It’s not a sweet scent. I also began to smell a metallic note at dry-down, which I’ve experienced in some fragrances with citrus notes. It’s well blended, no notes stick out, though I can identify lemony soapy nutmeg. I have another nutmeg and spices fragrance that I already love(Cimabue-Dsh) with much better strength than this and a more sweet spiced profile. It’s not exactly the same, but more satisfying than this. Cimabue is not a lasting one either, but so much better than this one in many ways. 7/10-has potential, but needs to be stronger to enjoy it.

Not my cup of tea, and too feminine leaning in my opinion. Opens up with a blast of rose and a mix of resins (middle eastern vibes and a little bit harsh/metallic) . Dries down to a somewhat fresh, heavy rose, (powdery) resinous smell with a spicy/leathery undertone. Sample before buying

This is not feminine. I wouldn't even call it masculine. This is a combination of industrial, automotive, and cleaning chemicals packaged in a fancy bottle. This is the first bottle I ever just threw away.

I loved this at first sniff, but for some reason it gets cloying after 10 minutes. I smell a well-blended mix of rose, saffron and cinnamon/clove/nutmeg. It smells like gulab jamun or another Indian dessert. It's not sickly sweet or anything, so I don't know what it is, but something about the rose note starts to bother me after a while. I don't notice lemon or patchouli--either of those might help balance out the composition and make it less cloying to me. This actually smells a bit like Safran Troublant by L'Artisan, but with rose. If that sounds good to you or you like the otes, it's worth trying

One of the most unique perfumes i've ever smelled for sure! it caught my attention with the name and theme behind it and i could associate with due to my love for Italy and my spent days in Venice(Murano island)and there it is like taking a gondola ride in the canal and smelling the baking cakes/Italian chocolates in the shops nearby mixed with earthy woody smell of gondola boats and concrete banks of canals covered in algae!...something magical!

یک عطر بسیار خوشبو و خوش ساخت. به راحتی می شه با اولین استشمام، هنر عطار این عطرو لمس کرد و درکش کرد. اما افسوس و صد افسوس که در ایران از این عطر به خاطر رزی که توش هست به عنوان عطر حرمی یاد می شه.

Very original,deep and comfortable.Elemi and lemon is a lucky marriage.Hour after hour this gem shows many sides,becomes spicy,fresh,warm as a caleydoscope. Well done.
