La Fenice Pour Femme

I blind bought La Fenice recently, after hearing Demi Rawling raving about it a few weeks ago and let me tell you, I am not disappointed! It’s a gorgeous, soft, powdery, white floral perfume with a prominent almond-cherry nuance and a creamy vanilla base. It opens beautifully with honeyed, sweet hawthorn and mandarin oranges before drying down into a beautiful blend of tuberose, almond and vanilla. It’s one of those fragrances that smells very pretty, feminine, elegant and alluring but different without losing its very likeable character. If you’re into sweet florals perfumes, creamy, powdery, almondy, vanilla based, La Fenice should be a safe blind buy for you, as it was for me. Might not be the most eye catching creation of Merchant of Venice just by looking at the notes listed, but trust me, it smells heavenly! The Merchant of Venice has some truly amazing fragrances, exquisite bottles/packaging but somehow not many people seem to know or at least promote it online for some reason. It could be because it’s not widely available elsewhere Italy, but they have spectacular perfumes!

I was pulled into the Merchants of Venice stand because of the pretty bottles, but I stayed and returned on many more occasions for this scent (I even still return now, even though I have my own bottle). This blew me away on first whiff, it’s absolutely delicious without being too juvenile. Fresh enough for spring and summer but just warm enough for autumn and winter too. It gives me grown up version of Ariana Grande/Sabrina Carpenter/Cosmopolitan fragrances. So if you’re not one for sweet scents, it probably isn’t for you. For me though, it immediately shot to the front of my want list and then my favourites list when I received a bottle. Scent: 8/10 Projection: 7/10 Longevity: 8.5/10 Versatility: 7.5/10 (fully versatile based on who could wear it and when in the year you could, however I’m not sure it translates as well when it comes to nightwear) Price (at full price): 6/10 (it’s quite pricey and haven’t seen it discounted ever) Overall: 7.4/10

La Fenice is a ‘soft life’ vanilla scent; nuanced, mature, ethereal, hazy. Don’t be put off by the florals; after the opening this is mostly honey, almond and vanilla. The hawthorn in this smells more like honey than the honey note in many fragrances and it lasts most of the wear. In the opening the orange is very sweet, not sharp or tart. I can pick out the tuberose a bit, but it’s not prominent. I prefer my vanillas to be different and interesting, and this fits the bill. There is no artificial sweetness- nothing cloying. It smells very natural, a sweet powdery vanilla. I typically do not like powdery notes, but this doesn’t bother me. I get really great performance from La Fenice. It projects very well for the first hour, then settles to just past arms length. It lasts an extremely long time on my skin. If I put it on a few hours before bed, I still have some decent projection 11 hours later. Truly a hidden gem!

I'll write a better review after a better test,for now I can say that La Fenice pour femme,welcome to my wishlist Love at first sniff and still a love after 8 hours.I can't get enough of this fluffy cloud of deliciousness!I love the combination of powdery heliotrope and almond blossom,chocolatey tonka,creamy vanilla and fatty,buttery tuberose.hmmmm...it's such a well blended creamy heaven.I can also detect a slight hint of something smokey,boozy like the malt note of Xerjoff dama biyanka or the one I get from Guerlain Tonka imperial but it's much lighter here BTW I think that colors of bottle don't match the scent,not that it's really important as I love it's bottle as it is

First impression was a little bit disappointing. It smelled a little bit genetic for me, like some Avon/Oriflame fragrance. But I really started to like the dry down. It's creamy light vanilla but still there's nothing special and the sillage is kinda poor. Edit: I grow up to love it. It's really nice fluffy vanilla, sillage is still really poor for me, but I love to wear it to bed or when I'm at home. It's really comforting fragrance. Edit 2: I wear it every day. Also I received compliment at work about this perfume. My very favorite scent! Edit 3: I found out I can smell it from my clothes even one week later. And it's the most beautiful vanilla I've ever smelt!

This is absolutely stunning. I did a massive decant haul from a retailer and ended up with a bunch of stinkers (Gritti Gossip Night, Pantheon Roma A, Regalien Ceremony, Moresque Lady Tuberose to name a few) and this one was the only one that I like. And I don't just like it, I love it. It's fluffy and marshmallow-y. Vanillic. Powdery. I need a full bottle. I wish it projected more but it's affordable enough on the grey market that I'll just douse myself in it when I wear it. Beautiful.

Omggg I love this. A powdery and slightly sweet cloud of vanilla, tonka, and tuberose. This is definitely a new favorite of mine for a calming fragrance on self care nights and relaxing in bed. Average in projection and longevity, but this isn’t the type of fragrance you want to be beastmode lol. Definitely worth a sample if you’re into sweet tuberose!

This scent was so confusing when I first got it. On first spray, I got this scent that was very smokey and incense like Spirituese Double Vanille. I actually hated it and wanted to give it away. I left it in the box and over time it developed into the sweetest, sexy, sensual scent. Very feminine. So happy I didn’t get rid of it.

Floral and feminine, with a tuberose that resembles jasmine with an indolic aspect. The almond blossom here reminds me of My Insolence. Delicious vanilla base. Amazing quality. Surprised not to see this mentioned more. Would love to have this at some point.

This scent is absolutely gorgeous and a total steal on discounter sites now. It pairs really well with Kayali Yum Boojee Marshmallow (hate that name, it's embarrassing to even just type it out) for an interesting somewhat lighter gourmand scent combo.

my favorite scent ever. it has a nostalgic vibe to it but not in a bad way, it doesn’t smell old. i feel like a delicate fairy whenever i wear this perfume. for some reason it reminds me of odette from barbie swan lake movie!!

I like this a lot. However, it’s quite light and if you overspray it is a little too much. It smells like Burberry goddess in the deep dry down before it fades, but it’s a light, sweet, powdery almond tuberose first.

Absolutely in love. It smells divine! I feel like a goddess when I wear it and my husband loves La Fenice on my skin. It has become one of my favourites and a scent I wear to almost every occasion.

This is my favourite fragrance. Slightly sweet, mysterious and powerful. I think it is suitable for winter and date nights. This is not for everyone for sure. I don't recommend blind buying.

What a dreamy, feminine scent! Soft and sweet, beautiful dry down. Gentle white flowers wrapped in fluffy vanilla. An absolute femininity.

I like it a lot! It is soft and very feminine. It reminds me of Mon Guerlain, but without the lavender.

This a sophisticated version of Spiritueuse Double Vanille. I don't like the later but love this.

I think this is one of the "easy to wear" kind of perfumes, the most suitable for blind buy. A fluffy, airy vanilla. But the heliotrope leaves the vanilla in the background and a delicate tuberose that accompanies it. In the accords of this perfume, I think the floral accord should come first and the vanilla should be behind it. This perfume is never gourmand, let the buyer know that. I could never, ever smell cedarwood, in fact I could not find anything woody in it. It is not for those with heliotrope sensitivity because you can smell that flower very clearly. I also have Psychedilic Love (by Initio) which has very intense heliotrope, this is not as intense. As the fragrance dries, the vanilla and tonka bean notes become more prominent. It is very suitable for daily use and for wearing in the office. It seems like a candidate to be a crowd pleaser, I haven't used it enough to get feedback yet. The almonds are nicely set in there somewhere, but not too prominent. Compared to my more almond-heavy perfumes, this is a very light almond. Overall, it is a nice fragrance, not a candidate for a signature fragrance, but the fact that it is cheaper than other Merchant of Venice perfumes makes this perfume more affordable. Sillage and longevity are medium to high. I hope my review will be useful for the buyers.

In autumn La Fenice is beautiful. It has a beautiful, juicy and mysteriously sweet start. The scent is rich and multilayered. I feel hawthorn and almond blossom, vanilla and tonka beans also mandarin which makes it more vibrant. But the notes are well blended - it is hard to recognize them. Also summer performance is different to winter and spring one - it is then sugary vanilla to the point of too much. The scent obviously likes colder weather. It is a dreamy cloud of goodness today. I am satisfied. I nearly disliked it because of its summer, sugary performance - it was too sweet and structurally different, vanilla totally took over. Now I am back to loving the scent. After many hours I was enjoying the vanilla-tonka-cedar dry-down - warm, enveloping and sweet in an elegant way.

Such a fairy like, feminin, sweet and delicate, soft, fragile, creamy and powdery floral, what is almost a floral-gourmand. And it's almost full of my fav notes too. Creamy- more silky-milky vanilla, happy powdery heliotrope, lush modern not too indolic or green nor bubble gummy just perfect tuberose ( which is not overpowering the fragrance just makes it bewitching.) + Delicate almond blosssom, nectary hawtorn, and sweet tonka+ one of my fav citrus: the fresh-sweet juicy mandarine. As a gourmand lover like me, it's a perfect choice for spring. If you love the vibe of Kilian - rolling in love, Xerjoff- dama bianca, Nicolai - Kiss me, Marly - Cassili or Etro - Heliotrope than it's totally worth a try.

To me this is a somewhat linear powdery floral almond scent with a kiss of musky vanilla. I feel like it would be suitable for most weather except for the hottest days of summer, and I feel it especially wouldn’t wear well in humid heat. It is airy enough, I think, to work for warm days. It really reminds me of springtime in particular. To me this fragrance is a casual floral-print sundress or a lightweight cream/white sweater, jeans, cute ankle boots, and a minimal gold chain necklace - elegantly simple, softly feminine, grown up but not too mature or vintage.

La Fenice is a place you have never been to, but know very well. A fragrance that can accompany a period that will be the most special in your own periods, like a period film. Sweet, warm, unique. Just enough to get you into a justified arrogance. Tonka is never heavy, never too sweet. It's like a magic potion, including the bottle. Vanilla at its best. A rare tuberose. An aura of the kind that goes until your narrow. The kind of aura that will gently caress and passes around you, putting a warm strong border in between.

It’s that nostalgic old lady churchy perfume. Reminds me of what my mom used to wear from Avon called Far Away. I don’t remember but it’s a very pretty and light scent still heavy on the florals. Powdery and floral was my go to in middle school. Very sweet buts still likable. I get a hint of soap every now and again. This was a blind buy. I feel like I need to wear a powdery pink blazer suit with this fragrance. I definitely want to try more of this brand in the near future. I like it a lot but it’s not a love just yet.

One of the best Parfums I had. I've bought bought it twice. Once in galleries Lafayette and ordered once from their website to the US. Very warm, intimate, kind of sweet. Great silliage and longevity. I feel vanilla, tuberose and heliotrope. This parfum is very unique and I never found anything similar. It is your story. Nobody else's. Very well balanced. Edit: I am seeing that this is my second review on La Fenice. Because I always come back to it. And yes lovely bottle that you will get attached to.

This reminds me of something from early 2000’s (not in a bad way) could it be Sensi? Either way, this is good and smells unlike any other almond fragrance I currently own. The vanilla note in this leans more towards the kind you smell in expensive skin care, body butter scents etc It’s creamy and effortless, something you can wear every day. Is this full bottle worthy? The scent on the tester is fading fairly fast so for now, I’m Undecided

Same ballpark as Jo Malone Scarlet Poppy intense, but more complex and shimmery, with more pronounced fruity and floral elements and less custardy tonka. Definitely smells like expensive face cream/body lotion, but develops nicely on skin and feels gossamer-like compared to other scents in the same category. Very femme, yet not too bosomy/maternal. I could maybe wear this.

Intricately carved marzipan confectionery scented with vanilla from the fingertips of a 3-star pastry chef and chocolatier. It has an elegant, pearly shine. Although it's a sweet gourmet scent, it never stays sweet and isn't overly assertive. To be clear, this is not vulgar.

What a stunning bottle. It’s love at first sight. The scent started out kind of musky, to me. Then the mandarin kicked in, a tiny sour. But then... it is somehow familiair. Where did I know this from? Loulou from Cacharel! But a soft, not so loud version of it.

It’s a nice floral scent, not an unique one though. A good fragrance to use for spring and summer. Longevity and sillage is good.

As a boy I really think it is unisex. I have it and I don’t have any issue when I wear it. I do really like it.

the first few seconds are a sharper, citrusy mandarin with white florals in the background, before developing into a sweet powdery vanilla. becomes softer over time, but will always be a tad too cloying for my taste. reminds me of something an older woman would wear. feminine but overall forgettable. slightly headache inducing, like an older relative smothering you in her arms.

the first sniff reminded of grape ice snus..?? other than that it's like a milky, fruity vanilla to me that i sort of dislike but something in me keeps wanting to smell it

Compared to the other TMoV fragrances this was a bit underwhelming. Very weak but kinda soft. A bit generic.

There is a lot going on here, even though the line-up promises it all, but I didn't expect a heavy (for me) improvement that would irritate rather than make the day go by. Imagine a small room with fresh tuberose and other heavier flowers in vases. However, their fragrance does not dominate, because the heliotrope together with a decent dose of powder and sweet vanilla leads here a definite lead. This vanilla is not particularly to my taste, because unfortunately it comes out of such an annoying, heavy, sweet mass, and still mixed with powdered heliotrope and tonka knocks on the shoulders. Too much, too stuffy too sweet! Sometimes this composition reminds me of Euphoria CK and despite the fact that the fragrances are not twins, they have the same unbearable, heavy sweetness that I cannot accept. Le Fenice effectively confirms my belief that I don't like vanilla.

This is just not good, its smells cheap and cloying. Just no. One of the worst blind buys I got recently. I would stick to their Murano Exclusive line.

The best almond perfume. It’s such a great, daily signature scent for any women who loves almond and heliotrope. If you’re a woman who only has like 5 perfumes, try this one. I used to be like that and this would have made it into my collection. It’s very pleasing, inoffensive, and feminine. Great daytime scent. I purchased a huge MOV haul when Max Aroma had a huge sale and got rid of 3 and kept this one, Gyokura, and Andalusian Soul. Really not into the other 3 and I can’t keep things just because of the pretty bottles. If you’re going to choose a tea scent, try Gyokura, IMO much better than Blue Tea. I used to love Tender Light till it started smelling geriatric to me. I have my favorite almond, tea, and vanilla through this brand. When they hit it out of the park, they really hit it hard.

I tried this with a bunch of other random fragrance samples and liked it at first sniff but it wasn't super memorable. I just tried it again a few months later and wow, its so pretty. Maybe its that I've finally started to settle into my preferred type of fragrance, but this stands out much more now. It's very girly and pretty but in a elegant, ethereal way rather than a bright and youthful way. It gives off the same vibes as Mon Guerlain and although they don't smell the same, both have the same creamy floral vanilla vibe.

Oh myyyyy. Sophisticated vanilla milkshake without being juvenile or sickly. So smoooooth and soft. Total blind buy, came across this brand whilst browsing perfumes online and the bottles piqued my interest. Saw this one, read the reviews below and recklessly clicked "add to basket". Got it today. Love at first sniff. Reminds me of vanilla suede by ariana grande, soft and young but ladylike, cosy. Definitely more gentle and sweeter than VS but i feel like they are in the same family of an elevated simple vanilla.

I have ordered this perfum as a blind buy, something I rarely do, only based on the description, as I haven't found any comments on it and.... I am so happy I did! It is so soft, warm and elegant! Cosy sweet, but not cloying. Stays quite close to the skin but I do not like loud perfumes, so it is ok for me. I can't stop sniffing my arm. White flowers and vanilla are so well balanced. It has good chance to become one of my favourites. Good job, TMOV!

A really really strong honey accord. Is it the hawthorn? This scent then has the hawthorn front and center, barely noticeable almond note. I find honey a very pungent accord. I bought this cause of the reviews saying this is fluffy and marshmallowy. This is syrupy, pure honey even w that camphoric vibe honey scents have. They dry down is better, not as pungent. I really want to smell fluffy and marshmallowy like everyone else says.

If you have this try it in hot/summer days, when I got it I didnt like it much it was a little heavy and not so pleasant not bad but I didnt like it much to wear it. That was in winter.. but I tried it now and it smells very different kinda like floral vanilla icecream is the best way I can describe it. I imagine someone at some Roman/Greek temple eating an icecream in a very spacious room

if you like almond this is a really good option! definitely pleasant with a moderate lasting power. Super smooth and nicely floral very nice for winter to spring transition. Only downside is that it’s a niche perfume and price can be quite high depending on where you get it so in that way it’s bit overpriced for what it is. If you don’t include this factor it’s a really good scent ☺️

All I get is citrusy opening and delicious sugary vanilla cake type of dry down. BUT I work hard to be able to smell it. Am I anosmic to it? It is a fleeting light scent that I doused my arms with the entire 5 ml decant and still a light skin scent. I cannot justify the price but other than that it is a pretty sweet scent for spring and summer.

If you love honey you might really like this. I find a lot of fragrances that have hawthorn as a note are very honey forward. But, for me I find this just cloying and overwhelmingly sweet. Picture fatty tuberose drenched in marzipan, vanilla, and honey. If you just love those notes this could be your favorite perfume.

I almost got crazy finding it what it reminded me of:D And though I can rest my brain now, I am a bit disappointed...its totally like Signature for Her by David Beckham just a lot more expensive During the "search" I also realized it has some similarities with the limited edition Ralph Hot Ralph Lauren

This one is overly sweet, like a candy tonka sweet, & i believe it's the almond blossoms that caused all this overly hyped sweet! The tuberose, heliotrope, orange, & cedar are there as well. I can't say it's quite good rather than another .... Meh!

I wonder if creators have ever tried Gloria by Cacharel. It is so similar, I would say Gloria is det stronger, the rest is the same: the message, the composition, the vibe. For those who missed the discontinued scent.

I am just happy to test this in person and be stopped in my tracks before I bought it. It's very similar to a fragrance I have, Aubade by Aubade on my skin after half an hour.

Smells like a small terrarium made of crystal filled with minuscule watery flowers that smell like pink bubblegum and violet candies. Almost angelic.
