My Pearls

I keep finding myself returning to this perfume, because it feels so clean, angelic, and innocent. Soft, airy white florals wrapped in a generous veil of powder. The sillage is remarkable; just a few sprays fill the room. Longevity is excellent as well. I already love this house in general, and this fragrance has easily become one of my favorites too. It’s soapy-clean, with a low and balanced sweetness. I’ve been wearing it for nearly a year now, and it has never let me down. It’s one of those bottles I instinctively reach for when heading out the door. As for the white floral impression, I don’t have the chemistry knowledge to break it down precisely, but to me it resembles magnolia and even a touch of muguet (though that’s a fantasy note). There’s zero indolic quality; nothing carnal like jasmine or tuberose. It feels much more bridal, pure, and luminous. The fragrance is as pearly white as its bottle suggests. Note: It definitely shares a DNA with TdN. Owning both, I can say this one leans creamier and more floral, while TdN feels much drier and more powder-dominant. I enjoy both, but in different moods. I blind bought this in a massive haul for an excellent price. That being said this is an excellent fragrance if you love clean, softly powdery and soapy white florals with touches of rose. This starts out with a sharp note of violet leaf but it barely lasts for 5 minutes and then reveals a creamy and lightly powdery clean Dove bar soap fragrance. I own Teint de Neige and while I can understand why some think My Pearls is somewhat similar I had to disagree because Teint de Neige is extremely powdery and bombastic while My Pearls is more of a frothy soap smell. I have always been obsessed with the smell of classic white Dove bar soap and now I have a perfume to make me smell like that whenever I want. For those that are obsessed with high quality white bar soap this is the best. Packaging and presentation of this brand is excellent. Teint de Neige is very heliotrope heavy while My Pearls is more rose in the heart. The violet leaf and cassis are only in the opening salvo and disappeared very quickly.

I feel any American will understand powdery Dove bar of soap. I didn't expect to love this scent as much as I do. It's a love from me. The scent of clean. It's unfortunate there isn't a lotion to accompany this scent. I would absolutely buy this again if I ever run out. I took a shower, put this one, another nurse could smell this from across the room, I guess I must have over sprayed with my 6 sprays, I thought it was weak, but it's not. It lasted on my skin for 6 hours at least. I paid $60 for a full size tester from BeautyLiv. Great value as well.

Smells like very nice soap and laundry detergent. Very soapy and powdery with heavy dose of lily of the valley, generic white florals, and clean musks. Later in the drydown the rose comes out but it’s still overpowered by the other notes and smells like rose soap. My bottles is very strong and overwhelming with four sprays. I’d say this is fully unisex, it just smells like clean and soapy.

This is very creamy perfume, indeed somehow reminds of Nivea cream, but it is somehow reminder and not a really clone. I loved the perfume, for me it is a real clean scent and not the ones that are supposed to be the skin scents. It is very charming, calming, cheering scent. Can't be on the bad mood with it. This is a gorgeous fresh laundry scent. It smells so clean! It's perfect for daytime, especially in the spring and summer. That said, even layered with the matching body lotion, the longevity is non-existant. Within just a couple of hours I can't smell it on my skin at all.

Very baby powder, very much like L'erbolario Iris. Clean and thick. One of my favorites in my collection. The thing I HAVE TO praise is longevity and silage. I kid you not - the thing is eternal.

Love powdery perfumes so this is just right for me. To me this is classy night out wearing a pearl necklace. My husband hates it. Oh well for him.

Blind bought this and it reminds me of nivea lotion. I love how elegant and simple it smells.

I call this one: my Nivea cream. Dark blue Nivea and a little powder. Exactly that smell.

@_NicoleNonya, there actually is a lotion to accompany this scent. You can buy one on its own, and there is also a set with the respective EDP. It's quickly absorbing, what makes it my favorite body skincare product, because sticky clothes are yuck. Anyways, about this scent. It's clean. And that's about it. Apparently lasts longer and projects much more than I initially believed. As it should, since it is eau de perfume concentrée. I had people commenting my perfume long after I forgot all about it. I could smell the spot of application when I pressed my nose to it, even after a shower with a completely different and otherwise dominant scented bath product (Scandal by JPG). So I give My Pearls praise for the staying power. Otherwise, I guess I turn nose blind to it instantly, or I'm simply anosmic to the respective chemicals. However, what I actually DO smell is much more alike to F. Malle's L'eau D'Hiver than Lipstick Rose. It isn't nearly as sweet as Lipstick Rose, nor it has any of its playfulness. My Pearls is somehow sterile. Like Naomagic back in time. It also has some of its almond. In that regard My Pearls may also be a stripped down L'Instant Magic. Its skeleton, so to say. Angelic and pure. No big personality. L'eau D'Hiver is the closest to My Pearls, as a clean and a cold scent. It is a snowflake translated into a fragrance. Ah yes, and Nivea. I have that one as well and I honestly prefer the Nivea scent, even though it's not nearly as long lasting. But I guess we all have that emotional component linked to the good ole blue tin. 🩷 In comparison, My Pearls is kinda soul-less, yet pretty nevertheless. Nivea is the smell of childhood and mother's caring hands, while this expensive product is clean and cold. Frigid. But nice. Nondemanding. It also reminded me of Chloe Love Eau Floral: less spicy and more powdery. Big time Edit: this is my most complemented niche fragrance ever. Go figure.

I bought this fragrance blind, purely because the bottle looked beautiful. My first impression of the scent, though, wasn’t great. Right after spraying it, it reminded me of my grandmother’s old cold cream—something like Pearl Snow cream—or a bar of soap. I once saw someone describe it as smelling like a Nivea skincare box, which is exactly right. It’s full of heavy powderiness, slightly oily, and a bit sharp. My first reaction was that I’d made a mistake—proof that you really shouldn’t buy perfume just because the bottle looks good. But after a while, the white florals start to come through, soft enough to almost melt. The rose isn’t very obvious. Instead, there’s a light creamy layer holding the florals together. The “noise” of the opening suddenly disappears and everything becomes quiet. That soft, clean scent settles onto the skin, almost like the natural scent of your own skin being gently amplified. In the drydown, sandalwood and tonka bean give the fragrance structure. The scent becomes more grounded, with a touch of warmth from the wood. The faint woody and milky notes linger on the skin for a long time, and it smells incredibly good. Even after a shower, there’s still a faint trace left.

First impressions. Test on blotter. Imagine a crisp white bar of a luxurious soap. My Pearls by an Italian niche perfume house The Marchant of Venice is one of those perfumes, which make you feel clean all day long as if you have just got out of the shower. It is a soapy floral scent. The most dominant notes are lily-of-the-valley and rose. There is something vintage about it. It has hints of lily-of-the-valley note from Diorissimo and rose note from Chloe Eau de Parfum. Like Diorissimo and Chloe Eau de Parfum layered together. Maybe it is due to the beautiful white bottle with gold details, but it seams to be a perfect perfume for a bride. I believe it is a day perfume suitable for Spring, Autumn and Winter. I am not sure how would it act in the Summer. I cannot say anything about the projection as I have only tested it on a blotter. The longevity is good – after four days the scent is still present on paper.

I wish My Pearls would be less peppery and a little sweeter, then it’d be one of the perfect fragrances for me. Don’t spray too much, you can end up sneezing. Longevity is very good, once I used this and didn’t use again for about two weeks and all that time, I still could smell My Pearls in sprayed area. Probably it stayed on the small carpet I stood on while spraying. Dry down is much better than the first smell. I am not sure if I would buy again, because it’s very expensive in my country.

My Pearls is perfect for warmer weather when I am craving a fresh and clean scent that still exudes femininity due to its powdery and flowery aspects. While the drydown is a symphony of delicate white floral powderiness, the first few minutes after spraying are an overdose of musky sharpness sprinkled with flowery wafts. Therefore, for those who do not like sharpness in their fragrances: be patient and you will be rewarded with a beautiful floral bouquet.

Another review: ***** Musk **** Powdery notes *** Aldehydes ** Almond * Vanilla - in that particular order. If I was supposed to list what I can smell, from the most dominant, and opening notes, to the most quiet in the far drydown, this is what I would bet my life on. Funny to notice there is not a single match to it. Another curious thing I noticed: my travel spray format seems to be much more potent and powdery than the actual 100 ml bottle.

i just got a whiff of the dove liquid handwash while washing my hands and it reminded me of the piece of paper i put in my phone case from when i sprayed this 4 weeks ago. it still smells. recently retired from my lifelong extremely sweet/gourmand taste in perfumes so this is next on the to-buy list.

visited venice and the fenice theater, where this scent enchanted the floors. it’s a true baby scent — creamy, soapy. while it felt amazing in the corridors, it didn’t last very long on my tested sleeve.

My Pearls is like a pearl necklace: simple, classic, and always beautiful.

With the bottle design and this scent several images popped into my head: iridescent pearls, the inside of a seashell, powdered sugar in a painted porcelain jar, seaside fairytales and soft pastel makeup. Sounds so dreamy but with all this, it's still not a love from me. There is something very vintage-like in this, and I do not want to say grandma, but I am heavily implying mature. So sadly but it's just an ok.

The bottle is beautiful and elegant, but I cannot smell the fragrance contained in it. My Pearls is too powdery, too strong for me, making my nose feel uncomfortable and make me want to sneeze. I agree this fragrance fits its name very well, it reminds me of pearls crushed into a fine powder. But that's all, maybe this fragrance is not for me.

i get soapy, clean, baby wipe and a hint of a powdery rose. in the opening it was a tad bit squeaky clean but that wore off in minutes not really my scent profile but i can appreciate it

It smells like a headache-inducing laundry softener. I did not smell rose scent in it, where is the rose?. The opening is very sharp, then it softens. It has the worst scent in my collection. Sorry.

It is lovely in an uncomplicated low brow kind of way, like a memory of a sweet grandmother or a 16 yo girls birthday party. The opening with pink pepper is the "spiciest" part of the fragrance competing with the initial powdery lotion sweet smell. Luckily this gives way to unremarkable florals, blended well enough to not distinguish one from the other. The woody cedar grounds the airiness a bit with a muskiness. It is a lovely unoffensive soft scent, great for bedtime or occasions like church, special events, funerals, etc. I wish it was a bit stronger for the price and I'm sure similar scents can be had for less. I am reminded of FM l' eau d'hiver as being the more sophisticated and elevated version of this.

Gorgeous if you love this kind of scent - I do and have others which are similar. This is a potent, elegant, Nivea cream, rosy, talc-bomb. Slightly less heavy than something like teint de neige,this could work in lots of different weather without being cloying. Does it smell similar to the Nivea perfume? A bit, yes, but it's elevated, refined, richer and with great longevity. If you find yourself wanting to smell like floral lotion and talc cranked up to the max then definitely get this. Absolutely lovely bottle too.

Gorgeous gorgeous and smells lots like so many perfumes I own because I love this scent profile. Upon looking at the similar votes, I can agree with Teint de Neige comparison. It isn’t as sweet as Une Histoire Femme Sensuelle. All three of them fall into a snow white fluffy musk territory, with some sweetness. Very feminine, cosy, good for all year round. I’d love a bottle of this. Because the smell is good but also Merchant of Venice bottles are so pretty.

Mixed feelings, I read the reviews I listened to the you tube reviews, soapy, Nivea, baby powder. I had just sold ( more like gave away ) Junoon the clear bottle Junoon smells like Johnston and Johnston baby powder on steroids. My pearls is a softer a version of that. I’ll keep it hoping it will maybe change alittle. But at this moment this arrive today it does have a baby powder smell, which I’m not a huge fan of.

Clean rosy-musky type of scent that hits just all the right buttons for me. Starts off as a sort of toddler cologne a Southern European mother would use on her child in summer, but not too citrusy, then develops into waves of soft rose and what seemed to me neroli, to eventually settle into delicious grown up slightly woody musk, never too sweet. Persistent and addicitive. Will buy.

This one is extremely intetesting. It could be portrayed as subtle, soapy, clean, whatever everyone mentioned.... But the sillage on me, the longevity, the sniffing of other people when I pass by wearing My Pearls, well, this one is simply a beast in disguise. I can't say which note is the contributor to this sensation, but overall, superb quality.

I was hoping on Nivea type of frag. But this one is too creamy. Sharp type of cream, if its possible. And this intense smell is stocking you all the way. The packaging is impressively beautiful. Maybe I will wear it sometimes in future. Its sitting on my shelf now. Waiting for a better times.

Creamy rose. A delicate powdery hint surrounding a clean, creamy rose. Reminds me of Rose Milk lotion my mom used when I was little. I get the comparisons to Dove soap or Nivea cream, but add rose. It’s quite pretty!

Initial impressions on paper - Smells similar to Profumum Roma's Soavissima which i own. This is softer (performance-wise) and smoother. Smells like a lovely floral (soapy) soap. Will report back with wearing...
