Osmanthus

Far more complicated than the one note from pyramid might suggest. Thx @Vanlilith for the info from the brand site. Still... even knowing there's more than osmanthus flower itself I couldn't put my finger on what actually is there I'm smelling. I'm puzzled. Ylang Ylang - yes. But I would swear that there's some Jasmine as well, the one I know so well from many Italian fragrances. Anyway since I'd purchased Osmanthus from Acqua di parma (and fallen in love with it) I've started looking for more perfums with this flower. But let me tell you, those two, even though with the same name, are nothing alike. Osmanthus from TMV is more mature and definitely not that light. Do I find it nice? Absolutely yes. Nice and sophisticated. Did I find the osmanthus I've been looking for in this bottle? Sadly no. But it's a keeper nevertheless. :)

Osmanthus didn't impress me much in this line, but I'm absolutely biased on osmanthus scent because I love the real perfume from the flowers on the bush. Everytime I pass by an osmanthus plant I would bury my head inside. Instead I had poor luck with osmanthus perfumes. It was like forgotten flower, then all of a sudden you see it listed in many recent perfumes, which makes me suspect that makers have quite a few tanks in their warehouse to use and of course it is synthetical. This Osmanthus is not bad smelling and it's actually an acceptable reproduction of the real flowers with a strong fruity edge. I like it, but don't get the high vibe like the real thing.
