Patchouli Indonesia

This is dark chocolate kind of patchouli. At first I didn't like it that much but over time I see how interesting this is. So I understand very well those who hate this kind of scent. Bvlgari Kobraa is somewhat similar but they evolve into different directions, still, not too far away from each other. This one is less aggressive or ambery than Kobraa. Both are good on my shirt. So it's been an interesting from like to love transition. There is one thing I don't understand though: how can some other patchouli-based scents be so different and lack this kind of smell then? Comme Une Evidence for example: pure feminine rose-peony kind of scent. Do they use it so little in there? Why is it in the base notes then? Which makes me question if this is really patchouli here or a mixture with "tobacco" instead? Hard to believe that some green leaves can have such a powerful smell -- it is by its essence and darkness more similar to vetiver which are roots. Also, smelling this brings me two things in mind without any real life experience: 1970's and a very powerful woman with big eyes and big black hair, a femme fatale who gets everything she wants. Despite of this I enjoy it on myself as well and can't stop sniffing my hand. Edit 23.03.26: only a year later I can finally distinguish some cedar here and a bit more bergamot. I couldn't distinguish them back then so maybe nose evolves over time. So it is a really beautiful patchouli scent. It looks like I like it more every time I use it and I do this seldom, being cautious and careful just in case.

Pretty straight up. A soft, green patchouli. Touch earthy, powdery, citrus to keep it light. Very nice. Cozy. Silk loungewear type of scent on its own. Great for layering too.

EW! ZERO PATCHOULI!!! Ugh I hate it when this happens- as a patchouli obsessive I love collecting every iteration of patchouli out there. However- this is just vile. If you like straight up isoESuper, weird chemically cedar & papyrus- go for it. ABSOLUTELY NO PATCHOULI IN THIS!!!! What a colossal waste of money. Seriously- avoid this mess.

Earthy patchouli but it smells fairly clean - i dont see anything dirty or sour.
