Rococò

Absolutely incredible. Creamy, smooth, slightly gourmand. It smells perfectly blended, the cacao isn't too strong, there's nothing too overpowering in this fragrance. Just the perfect blend of creaminess, perfect for fall and winter. Queen of The Night and this definitely share some elements. When I smelled this, I immediately thought of Queen of The Night. They're definitely different but they feel like they're in the same family. Perfectly unisex, would fit anyone who wants to wear it. EDIT : I bought a full bottle, a tester for an insane price. I wanted to add that this is a nuclear scent. One spray on my mom's arm, covered by a sweater, filled her room for hours. This fragrance is pretty hard to describe. It's blended to perfection.

First impression: This is a softer-feeling cocoa with soft-incense. It's not an intense chocolate. The cocoa isn't super powdery either though. Just a touch of sweetness. This is really pretty and easy to wear. I have to admit the first 30 seconds in the opening made me a little nervous (blind bought a full bottle) but it smooths out quickly. This is an easy-reach type of fragrance. . The resins give it depth, but it's still got some airyness from the other notes. Solid fragrance. I can see myself wanting to wear this a lot. I much prefer this to Queen of the Night, as that was too heavy (on the woods maybe?) for me. My preference lately is more easy-going.

Rococo is so good! Intense, intimate, intoxicating and velvety... The main notes I get are powdery warm cocoa and heliotrope enveloped in sweet balsamic notes. There's also a lighter citrus note (bergamote) that adds some lightness and breaks up the warmth. Rococo might be my favorite from the Merchant of Venice lineup. It's is such a beautiful, fun and elegant fragrance, unusual yet easy to wear. I find it hard to compare to anything else I've tried. This might be a strange, but Rococo reminds me slightly of the sweet smell when you walk into a lush store. There are some contrasting notes, but altogether a beautiful blend. It is a joy to wear!

Dry cocoa powder and the sweet spiciness of cloves. It smells like expensive, dark, hot chocolate. The powdery heliotrope blends beautifully with the bittersweet cocoa dust, while the olibanum gives the whole composition a crackling quality, like the idea of wood ablaze but without being smoky. Rococo is warm, enveloping and divine - it also has phenomenal longevity and sillage, after more than 8 hours I can still smell it all around me. This and Missoni - Gianduia are the only chocolate/cacao scents I will ever need.

Intimate and embracing, this fragrance is the perfect symbol of a harmony of opposites. Smelling this for the first time, I can't stop thinking that this is a combination of cacao and vanilla/tonka bean... To my surprise, no vanilla nor tonka bean is present (at least according to fragrantica)... I agree this is a beautiful gourmand perfume. Feels like wearing chocolate. However on me it's a linear fragrance from start to finish. Maybe i need to test it for some more days. The silage and longevity are amazing.

Wow I’ve never gotten so many compliments in my life that I do this. Girls go crazy for this on men and it’s perfection. It’s a smooth buttery airy coco smell and some nutty was it. Amazing silage and longevity too. It’s so yummy and cozy, perfect for fall or night time. Sexy and refined. This is such a sleeper

Perfume of contrasts, sweet and special. Refined and beautifully harmonious. Became evocative scent, transports me in the Baroque... it is an incredible and mysterious fragrance. I think this is super underrated amazing fragrance. A chocolate lover's dream. It has some similarities to Guerlain's Gourmand Coquin. This one lasts and projects better than GC, doesn't have the booziness of GC but has more warmth probably from spices. So I justified to own full bottles of both!

I am in love with this one. Incredible performance - easily lasts 10 hours on my skin - and smells delicious. Not a big fan of cacao but holy shit tmov nailed this one. I agree with chemical opening but it only lasts a couple minutes for me, not a big deal.

It smells both like a warm soft lovely fragrance i remember my dad had when i grew up and a classic feminine perfume my mom would wear. That is so weird but i guess that makes it the perfect unisex fragrance.. and its gorgeous.

You can realllly smell the cocoa note in this fragrance. It’s warm and cozy like a cup of hot cocoa made with bittersweet chocolate. This smells unlike any other perfume

It has the same DNA as my signature scent, Queen of the Night, but is completely different. This brand has never let me down. I ordered a sample of Rococo and decided it was worth a full bottle. What's in the fragrance? It starts with a rich, incense-like chocolate. Although it says cocoa in the notes, I can say that it has more of a chocolate texture than pure cocoa. It's not a playful scent, although it is sweet, that sweetness is in moderation and I can call it dark-sweet. I am one of those people who like to pick heliotrope a lot, but it is never overpowering in this perfume. It is overshadowed by the combination of cocoa, frankincense and benzoin. I don't pick the other notes, which is good because I couldn't imagine jasmine and bergamot in this blend. Rococo is both delicious (gourmandy) and sensual. I have done almost 30 tests, the last time I was so impressed by Encens Suave by Matiere Premiere, and now this! I love you Rococo! Easy to wear. No sharp edges. Unisex, maybe leaning to feminine side a bit. High longevity and good sillage. Full bottle worthy for me.

Honestly after the reviews I saw, I was expecting a blast of cocoa with this but I was wrong. It mostly smells balsamic with spicy undertones. The cocoa in this is suble but very pleasant. It's a bit sweet and warm. In the dry down, the cocoa shows up more but it never dominates the perfume. I feel like sometimes balsamic notes like benzoin or myrrh gives perfumes a vanillic atmosphere, especially if the perfume contains other gourmand notes. I think the benzoin in the base note doing the same thing in here. If I smelled this without knowing the notes, I'd say it has vanilla.

This is a BEAUTIFUL fragrance. So very cacao yet sophisticated and spicy. So let me stat by saying that I adore it and enjoy it very much. The bottle is a work of art. The presentation is ridiculously tacky with the "ancient book" thing. I have a huge problem taking it seriously 😂 However, one cannot discuss this fragrance and ignore its price. Even on discount I parted from a hefty sum just to get my hands on it. Beautiful as it is, it's still merely a feel good scent and just not worth all that $.

The opening is almost off putting because to me it smells like nail paint remover or something chemical like that but after it settles for about 10min it becomes a nice sweet vanillic fragrance. I don’t get jasmine the heliotrope is the dominant floral in here. Overall I would rate this fragrance a 7/10

This was my most anticipated fragrance of the entire house, but the scent had me baffled...It's the same kind of disappointment I have with Angel—Instead of cacao/cocoa/chocolate, I get some kind of fruity powdery cake 🤨 This has got NOTHING to do with the opening of Cacao Porcelana! Cocoa aside, I was hoping benzoin would carry the day, but it's so distracted by the other notes, one can hardly call this fragrance ambery.. Perhaps the faults boil down to balance—This is not a show with 2 prominent costars, but orchestrated with multiple key players (contrary to what the votes suggest), which resulted in something above average, yet not what I expected.

Smells like dark cocoa powder and some chocolate. But really a gourmand perfume, little bit too bland and boring in my opinion. I was hoping for more. Left me really unimpressed. I’m glad I only got a sample of it. Longevity is also not that great, about 3-4 hours on my skin. On the other hand, my husband liked this scent. 5/10 stars.

I can’t use this because the very chemical smell in the opening is a deal breaker. I wanted to like it and the ingredients should have predicted a win but no... Favorite from this house is Byzantium Saffron. A stunner. I’ll stick with that.

روكوكو هو أول عطوري من الدار، وأعتبره سفيرا جيدا للدار من حيث جودة المكونات. وروكوكو هي كلمة فرنسية تعني الصدفة أو المحارة، ثم أطلق الإسم ليعبر عن العديد من أشكال الفنون كالزخرفة والهندسة المعمارية والموسيقى والنحت التي ظهرت في أوروبا في عصر الباروك، وتميزت بعدم الاتساق والتناسق لخلق جو من الحركة والدهشة. ولكن هل يحمل عطر روكوكو ذات السمة؟ أعتقد أن الإجابة ستكون نعم ولكن ليس لمدى بعيد. فالعطر قد يثير الإعجاب لكنه لا يصل لدرجة الدهشة. فالمكونات جميلة وبديعة لكنها لا تضم عناصر جديدة أو غير مألوفة. نقطة التميز الحقيقية للعطر تكمن وراء جودة الكاكاو الداكن المستخدم. فالعطر وجبة جميلة لمحبي مشروب الكاكاو الخام وحتما ال "Dark Chocolate" المكون الأكثر وضوحا إلى جوار الكاكاو هي الفانيليا تليها التونكا التي يقتصر دورها على تدعيم الفانيليا. والسيطرة ستكون لهذا الثنائي منذ البداية وحتى نهاية العطر. فالعطر أراه خطيا إلى حد كبير بلا تدرج في النوتات. ظهور خافت للياسمين والقرنفل ولكنه على الرغم من ذلك بدا لي أن هذا الثنائي أكثر كثافة من البنزوين على عكس ما هو مدون. العطر وجبة جميلة ومثيرة في الأجواء الباردة، وبخاصة إذا كنتم من محبي الفانيليا والكاكاو. أما بالنسبة لي.. فعلى الرغم من إعجابي بالعطر وجودته وجماله أيضا. غير أنني كنت أفضل أن يجاور التبغ نوتة الكاكاو على حساب الفانيليا، مع كثافة أكبر للياسمين على حساب التونكا. ولكن دعكم مني فأنا أصبحت من ذوي المزاج الصعب "مش بيعجبني العجب" العطر جميل وحلو وزي الفل.

opening: citrus? yes. why does it kind of smell like nail varnish remover and pickled plums, no chocolate present j yet. sillage and projection is incredible so far i did not have to spray my normal amount of times. hm might be getting a few wafts of cacao every now and then but when i proper sniff it it's still chinese liquorice plums so mixed feelings on the opening Dry Down: still the same kind of plum but the citrus has died down and the spices come up, it's a beautiful fragrance, not sure if it's for me, hints of cacao now but still not super strong and chocolate but it is gorgeous, a spicy slightly plummy fragrance with hint of cacao quite dark and mature i can appreciate that it would smell nice on certain people but for me a 16 year old i feel like the perfume is wearing me. this is quite a grandmotherly fragrance so far which i don't see as a bad thing. it's very comforting and it smells like the coolest boss lady granny if you know what i mean like she will punch anyone who dares be mean to you Am testing this towards the end of my menstrual cycle so will retest again when hormones are a bit normal but this is what i got at this point in time

Warm and spicy. That's Rococo. It has a start in which bergamot and incense are clearly present. After a while, incense goes down and resins and dark cocoa begin to predominate, with a strong presence of cloves as well. The powdery part that could come from the floral aspects of the heliotrope is only testimonial, really very light. The result is a rather dry perfume, completely unisex to my nose. It has a moderate sillage and lasts for about 8-9 hours on my skin. It bears a certain resemblance to Jungle L'Elephant by Kenzo or Gold Noir by Majouri but it differs from them by being a much lighter perfume, less sweet and with aspects of cocoa that do not appear in the other two. It is a delicious perfume with good projection and duration that would perhaps enter my collection when one of the ones I have that remind me of it finished, although in general I like more sweetness in this olfactory profile. I hesitated to blind buy this for quite a while, and finally decided to go ahead when I found a great sale online. I'm glad I took the gamble because it has paid off nicely. To describe Rococo as "lovely" may do it a disservice, as it can be interpreted to mean the fragrance is nice, but bland. But it truly is lovely in its airy sweetness with pretty tendrils of chocolate swirling through. Other words that come to mind are: gentle, romantic, cozy, coy, feminine, silky, breezy. There is a bright and juicy note that shines which reminds me of Silk Lace & Chocolate by 4160 Tuesdays. On my skin, the two fragrances represent the opposite ends of the spectrum, the dual nature of femininity. Rococo is the lady in pastel twin set and pearls, and SL&C is the vamp in stiletto heels and blood red lipstick. Both are differently - but equally - beautiful. The bottle is gorgeous, too.

To me this is the darkest and bitterest perfume I've ever smelt. but does it mean that I don't like it?Not by all means! I really enjoy the intense and different feeling I get from it. From the notes listed here, I just recognize cloves. I love cacao, maybe it's the note that gives rococo depth and mysteriousness, but I can't get it as a single note. What else? lots of tobacco! Rococo reminds me of a handsome man in his 40s or even 50s who smokes 2 packets of expensive cigarette everyday and still looks fabulous. Saying that, you may realize that I don't dare to wear this fragrance for myself, but I don't mind smelling it on others. Now, add the fact that lately I've been craving for bitter scents and calculate how eagerly I would sniff around when I recognize somebody's wearing it.

This is definitely one of the most beautifully smelling things I have ever put my nose on. This is the smell of happiness, sun, and angels. I am just now discovering this brand and it's quickly becoming one of my favorites. I visited their Rome boutique and I ended up buying Mystic Incense as it suits me better, but this may be my next purchase. The girl at the store was extremely nice and gave me a sample of this to take home. It seems to have a good projection and lasting power. The only bad note is that it's pretty expensive (250 euros).

This is a beautiful scent for a well put together man. It leans more masculine in my nose. A bit dark with the cocoa and chocolatey but in a diplomatic way. Nothing harsh or obnoxious. A woman can wear it too but there’s sth at the edges after dry down that strongly screams masculine. I don’t know the particular note but it smells like leaves that is being processed for local treatment. In all, it’s a nice perfume but not a blind buy

Sweet, creamy, syrupy and very loud. Smells almost like something you could drink - very sweet wine perhaps, or fruit flavoured hot chocolate. Pretty good, I did not expect to like it. However, it's so thick and strong that I couldn't wear something like this every day, maybe for special occasions (that don't involve food, as the juice would overpower the strongest flavour).

Its easy to make it your signature. The use of cocoa makes it smell uniqe and also easy to wear. When ı got confused about what ı wanna use for a day this is my hero. As it wait it gets sweeter but not in a edable way. The scent shifts to another smell in every hour so you dont get bored and need another fragrance during the day.

the opening is sharp on me, almost unplesant (i get the nail varnish remover comment) but then it settles into a powdery vanilla cocoa scent, almost a bit coconuty. i would say if samsara and shalimar had a baby with some extra cocoa thrown in. love the drydown

wow when I first smell this I thought it was a dupe of Kilians Smoking Hot but then checked out when this was made 2015. So obviously Smoking Hot is the Dupe. Smells a lot better and smoother than SH. def sample first but its a nice fragrance.

Why people do not mention Manhattan by Roja, similar notes and smiliar scent, this is rather tame, whereas manhattan has more mentholic clove and more heliotrope powdery aspect.

After letting the bottle sit for 2-3 weeks, it is still frankincense strong. The warmth from the coco and benzoin is coming through.

Smells a lot like JPG Ultra Male but higher quality ingredients and less ‘in your face’

I find it masculine in a very classic way. I can imagine Don Draper wearing it.
