Everything was already said in the reviews. I see some comments battling between fresh and sweet. As rose is widely used in different types of scent profiles, the perception really depends on your personal experience with rose fragrances before. If you previously smelled mostly jammy, sugary or oriental roses - this one will be extremely fresh for you. If you smelled pink, dewy, subtle roses - this one will be perceived as sweet and nauseating. I think it's more on the sweet side but in the same manner as blooming, intoxicating flowers are sweet in the fresh, green surrounding. I do get pink lotus and it gives the whole fragrance a bit of exotic and watery vibe - it reminds me more of a rose planted in a Japanese garden, full of azaleas and tiny ponds thank to this note. All in all, it's a very beautiful, natural and intoxicating scent. Both elegant and seductive, classic but done in a contemporary way. Could be used by all ages, it's neither mature or girlish. And definitely not silly. Probably the most seductive rose you could get out of the romantic, rose-centered perfumes.

I don’t understand the reviews of this perfume. Weird Italian reviews not withstanding. I don’t understand how anyone could think that this smelled like Crabtree and Evelyn or Bath and body Works. This is so sophisticated this rose is one of the most beautiful rose perfumes I’ve ever smelled I get rose and magnolia tiny bit of citrus. magnolia That is identifiable, which for me it rarely is and Lotus that is so subtle... Throughout the dry down there’s a hint of vanilla, but the rose is so creamy and subtle but present this is incredibly well blended. Doesn’t have great longevity, but this is just a really fabulous rose fragrance. I sprayed it on my hands two hours ago a couple of drops on the back of my hands. I’ve been working out in the sun with sunscreen on And I’m really smelling the beautiful magnolia. Unlike the bottle of My Pearls! This bottle is gorgeous. The top of the bottle Acrylic I think and more well-made than the plastic cap on the other bottle. Just a gorgeous bottle Inside and out

It's a beautiful, bright and fresh rose focused scent. I would make a guess that the sparkle is care of the bergamot. The dry freshness is care of the magnolia and lotus flower. The musk blends and softens the whole. It is backed with a little warmth and sweetness from the amber and vanilla. First and foremost it is a creamy yet fresh rose scent. On me it remains a relatively linear scent with the magnolia and lotus becoming a little more evident along it's timeline. Very nice but it's too similar to the other rose scents I own. I've got to admit that my first thought was of Stella Mccartneys Stella edp although this is fresher. I already own the Serge Lutens Majeste which is much richer and opulent. This is a much lighter and brighter scent that is much easier to wear every day. It's certainly not obvious regarding the aquatic aspect. I get average longevity and sillage at best.

My favourite rose scent. It replaced at 1st place Bvlgari Rose Essentielle. It is a similar, girly and innocent fresh pink rose. Perfect princess scent. Reminds me also of Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet but this is more clearly a rose. And truly special one. Slightly citrusy, tinged with noble magnolia, sweet and a sheer perfection. So far my favourite of The Merchant of Venice. And in general it is high on my favourites list. Possibly top 10. It is so incredibly gorgeous. But in general their creations are worth having. Rather unique and endlessly feminine even in the more daring scents. And it lasts beautifully, too. I gently feel it and it is vivid on my wrist 7 hours already. I also woke up smelling like the freshest roses on a sunny day. The performance is spectacular for such a light, floral scent.
