Suave Petals

I owed Sauve Petals a second review so here it goes: After testing it twice,I decided to give it away but had to give it a last chance before doing that.my mixed feelings suddenly changed to love and I immediately removed it from my swap list Yes it belongs to rose-patchouli category which isn't my fave but the intresting point is that neither patch nor rose aren't too dominant on me anymore!nectarine blossom and orange blossom are stronger on me and their silky,bright freshness is wrapped by a super creamy,warm and slightly spicy sandalwood.now it's totally different with any of the before mentioned similar perfumes.I don't find it too mature or serious anymore.it's just elegant and sensual and can be so versatile as I can't think of any situation that it's not wearable in it.it's wearable year round and is great for wearing on a date night in a fancy restaurant as well as a day business meeting Nectarine blossom is a new note for me but I can pickup a silky floral here with a fresh fruity undertone(somehow close to mandarin blossom but even better) which I believe must be nectarine blossom and it's devine and is strongly present specially during first 3,4 hours and makes me love this perfume.orris gives this such a gorgeous powdery vibe that is to die for.not dusty or baby powdery but a luxurious sheer and smooth powderyness.it smells very expensive yet approachable and inviting,so balanced and well blended.sophisticated but not old even a bit.giving it away could be one of my worst mistakes سوآو پتالز بنظر من شبیه هیچ کدوم از عطرهای ذکر شده بعنوان مشابه نیست چون بیشتر از اینکه رز و پچولی غالب باشن،شکوفه شلیل و شکوفه پرتقال به همراه چوب صندل بسیار خامه ای و کمی اسپایسی غالب هستن.ظرافت ابریشمی و روشن و فرش شکوفه ها با ته بوی میوه ای و جوون شون،تضاد هنرمندانه ای با بلوغ و گرمای چوبی نت های پایه ساخته.ریشه زنبق کمی حالت پودری ب رایحه میده در مجموع رایحه فوق شیک،بسیار گرونقیمت و کاملا خانومانه ای داره.رایحه ای ک بااینکه بالغه اصلا پیر نیست.معتدله و بصورت چهارفصل قابل استفاده ست و بااینکه رایحه پیش پا افتاده و تکراری نداره،میتونه خیلی پرکاربرد باشه.موندگاری خیلی خوبی داره و بااینکه پخش انفجاری ندارن خط بو ب جا میذاره.بشخصه اوایل زیاد دوسش نداشتم و حتی میخواستم تبادلش کنم اما یهو حسم بهش تغییر کرد و الان عمیقاً دوسش دارم دقت کنید که عکس فرگرنتیکا عکس شیشه خالی عطر هست درحالیکه در واقعیت مایع نارنجی رنگی هم توشه درنتیجه شیشه س رنگی تر و نارنجی-صورتیه جون دار بنظر میرسه

Received Suave Petals in a swap today and it's first day of wearing it I was hesitant to choose it in swap since patchouli and orris are tricky notes on me.I also hate Narciso Rodriguez for her edp which is mentioned by 5 people as a similar perfume.I also own SJP Beauty,JHAG Lady Vengeance and Micallef Mon parfum(other similar perfumes).while I like all of these three,I didn't want to have their dupe too. I have mixed feelings about this perfume but all in all I think choosing to have Suave Petals wasn't a bad decision.while I can see why other fragranticans chose mentioned perfumes as similar ones,it's not exact dupe of any of them. When first sprayed all I can smell is patchouli and a shy rose.not an unbearable patchouli,still too much for my taste but after ten minutes,rose blooms and it's a pretty rose with a hint of fruity,peachy nuances.at the same time musk shows up as the most prominent note(though not listed).this musky rose is nice and elegant and it projects so good that I can easily smell it on myself But after a while patchouli comes back to stage hand in hand with oris and Suave Petals settles down to a soft,dark,powdery-woody-earthy scent with just a hint of musky rose lingering in background,I get a slight vintage lipstick vibe from it but this stage is very fleeting and it's not the end of this journey.as clock tiks,something like a spicy,peppery sandalwood becomes more and more apparent,or maybe it's just the mix of notes smelling like a very creamy woody thing.this dry down stage reminds me a honeyless Estee Lauder Sensous with magnolia of Sensous being replaced by rose I like the fact that it's not linear but I can't get along well with this spicy-creamy woodsy drydown.it seems to last forever so there's nothing to ask more in case of duration and projection All in all I can see that this is a high quality and classy fragrance and it's nice to have this luxurious bottle in my collection but I can't see myself wearing it a lot.it's not my type and feels too serious,formal and mature Bytheway it's bottle's color doesn't look as pale as fragrantica photo,not before it's all used up as it's juice is ambery and makes it's bottle look orange and a happy pink shade Edit: I decided to sell or swap it

Suave petals is not what the name or a quick glance at the notes here, suggest it is. It's a cashmere, velvet orris, musk with challenging top notes which hint at flowers but never commit to one. When settled it shows more conventional aspects, reminding me of a load of different fragrances at once, and yet I can't place a single one. The opening is slightly unnerving, disconcerting and not for me but It literally improved by the second, getting better and better, more complex. I have to wear this again to try to figure it out. Update: so I have worn this again and I have to say the opening is a flouncy, pink blouse of a femme, floral fragrance, I don’t know why I found it so ambiguous first time around? Anyway that gives way to a pretty traditional if very nice sweet, tacky (in the textural sense) warm, modern, amber (I was so tempted to use the ‘O’ word there) it has a mildly burnt caramel note to it. Definitely musks, leading a cleanliness which stops it going all out gourmand or something. This reminds me of the kind of thing worn by a woman of a certain age...perhaps in the 90’s? It’s not dressy or dolled up and could quite easily be an everyday wear sort of perfume, giving the impression of a slightly more glamorous person. To me at least. It’s a little too feminine for me if I’m honest but unquestionably a ‘good’ perfume. Not sure why I found it so enigmatic the first time I tried it but hey.

I get patchouli and I get roses and that's about it. It's reminding me of Scherzo by Miller Harris, which I already have. The patchouli in here smells like oud. I'm not getting any of the other notes, tbh. I'm hoping this may need time on the shelf to macerate. IDk. I really hope so. I love La Fenice Pour Femme, Andalusian Soul, and Rosa Moceniga is nice, but all I get with this is patchouli/rose and with Flamant Rose, all I get is geranium. I'll revisit this in a couple days to see if my nose deciphers any of the other notes. I don't mind patchouli, but I'm not into patchouli dominant fragrances. It belongs in the background, like in Flowerbomb and Coco Mademoiselle. I like that type of patchouli. When I smell the aperture, I definitely get nectarine and it smells light, airy and beautiful. Psst, psst. When I spray me?? PATCHOULI BOMBB!!!! Last fragrance that was a patchouli bomb and utterly disgusting was Vanilla Sugar Royale from Kayali. I actually like patchouli in the base. Some of my favorite fragrances were floral fruitchouli's. I wore Flowerbomb and Coco Mademoiselle almost exclusively for about 10 years. Those were MY signature scent's. I'm just so surprised because I only see one review where someone said the patchouli was strong. Lucky me! I have that skin that just pulls PATCHOULI, and then some.

I've had this in my collection as part of a discovery set and I've honestly always skipped it as I usually don't love flowery-fruity, but boy I was wrong! The point is, this fragrance does smell flowery, but it doesn't evoke in my mind flowers, rather dried, preserved flowers. Flowery, woody, a little dusty and very nostalgic. It's like you are having tea with a lovely old lady and suddenly she stands and reaches in a dusty cabinet. She searches between her beloved trinkets and pulls out a small bouquet of flowers that has been dried with great care. She places it in front of you and tells you the story of how, many years ago, this was the wedding bouquet her husband picked personally for her. You are not sure the smell is in your nose or in your mind, but you are sure you can still perceive it somehow.

This is my favourite perfume, it's the one that consistently has people commenting on how beautiful it is and quite simply, it makes my day a better one when I wear it. It's both a very definite, present perfume as well as being one of those enticingly elusive ones. The longevity of the scent itself is impressive, I would only really need one application for it to see me through all day long but the happiness it gives me when it's freshly applied means the temptation to refresh the application is usually too great for me to resist. I bought this originally on a trip to Venice, I have a strong connection to the city and it never fails to remind me of my favourite place on a sunny day. If you're looking for something truly beautiful with a sensual undercurrent, look no further. Love it.

I discovered this brand and perfume very randomly walking in Milan, I sprayed some on me and while it smelled good I wasn’t in the market for a new perfume. But then a few hours later, it settled in my skin and I never smelled better: fresh and happy, but mysterious and delicious without being overly sweet or floral. I had to go back in store the next day to buy it. I have been wearing ever since even when I am just at home or right before sleeping. I used to have the NR years ago (the blue pink one and the black one) but while this slightly reminds me of it, the other ones were soo powdery on me and made me smell like a “grandma”. This one while feminine and soft, It is more energetic, confident, and youthful probably due to the perfect balance between floral and fruit in it.

Powdery fruity goodness brought back down to earth with the warmth of sandalwood and amber. Suave Petals is a contemporary floral - not remotely reminiscent of something your mom or grandma wore. It's clean & crisp - even a bit soapy. There are no sugary notes, yet there's still a sweetness to it brought in by the fruitiness. It might be perfect for someone who's not on board with all the sugar bombs that are popular today, but is still looking for a touch of modernity and sweetness for Spring/Summer. It smells "bridal" to me. Exactly how I think a Spring/Summer bride should smell. On top of how amazing it smells, the presentation is gorgeous. Careful.. may spark a Merchant of Venice obsession just to see more of these gorgeous Murano glass bottles on your shelf!!

This is Quality, Quality, Quality! Smooth and well blended floral with a bit of peach, patchouli and sandalwood. I agree with @Soofiya below: I find it very contemporary and versatile. This is great for the office, a wedding, or out to dinner. Also very wearable during Spring, Summer and Autumn (provided your Autumns are not too cold). If you believe fragrances without sugary notes are outdated, perhaps this may not be for you. But if you appreciate L'Artisan Parfumeur's La Chasse aux Papillons, Narciso Rodriguez For Her or Samsara, you simply must give this a try! Though those fragrances differ from one another, Suave Petals may be in a similar vein as them, but its quality and/or composition is simply on a much higher plain... BEAUTIFUL!

Suave Petals is Narciso Rodriguez edt (black rectangular bottle) in a MUCH nicer package. I have to sniff them side by side to see if SP is an exact dupe or just a strong nod in the NR's direction. Suffice to say that if you love one you'll love the other. It's a syrupy orange blossom patchouli musk. This is another fragrance where the whole notes list can be swept into the trash. It's a beautiful scent but it smells like NR edt. I have no problems with projection or longevity personally.

Very beautiful fragrance. I'm usually not a big fan of typically feminine perfumes, but this fragrance is really attractive. In my opinion, more interesting than NR. Suave Petals is the perfect perfume for a warm evening. Tender femininity in a chiffon dress and a white cocoon of perfume, love it.

Oh wow, what a nice surprise this was! It's like a spicier, stronger, Narciso Rodriguez for her EDP. A musky, spicy, warm, cozy, floral hug. I could bathe in this every single day. Unfortunately the long term dry down is lacking depth, so I like to layer it with any of the musky NR's.

It's yummy pink stuff. Powdery, fruity and mature. It made my day! Everything is balanced: the harmony of rose, sandalwood and nectarine, the soft and creamy texture, delicate but powerful! As someone who doesn't like patchouli, the patchouli in this never bothers me, I would even go so far as to say that I like this note. It's hard to find such smoothness and creaminess in pink bottles, it usually comes out in white, but the color of this perfume is definitely pink! There's a musky edge to this scent, it's not listed, but I'm almost sure. Drydown is sandalwood and vanilla.

Out of all the zillions of perfumes I own, this is my favourite I’ve just come back to it in my closet after a couple of years and I have missed it. It is the definition of feminine. Every whiff is heavenly. It is long lasting so for hours your smelling an amazingly, memorising scent. This is a hidden secret.

My mum brought this back from Venice (to Australia) for me for my birthday. I have never, ever smelt a more exquisite, amazing, beautiful scent in my entire life. It is out of this world, the absolute best scent. Its delicate, unique, long lasting and very feminine. I just can't say enough on this!!! :)

A very oriental bouquet. Patchouli and amber dominate, on this basis nectarine blossom shines and bergamot, and more facets without disclosing the recipe. It is soft and airy with a strong base. Versatile and enjoyable. However it gets shy after 3 hours and does not project much from the skin.

I do get the softest rose and tuberose, just a hint of bergamot, then some woodiness and patchouli on the drydown. Very pink, very femme, yet elegant and not overly sweet. Considering getting a full sized bottle of this. Edit: After cca 2 hours this sadly settles down into a faintly rosey, stuffy, grandma smell on me, so it's a no to the full bottle ;_;

This is a really perfumy blend and not at all as fresh and sweet as you would imagine from the fruity top notes described. It is almost giving that powdery wet wipe smell that I simply do not enjoy. The white florals are strong, but in a bad way, and that says a lot coming from a girl who really really loves tuberose. Maybe it is the rose that ruins it for me, because I struggle to pick the notes apart, it just becomes a mash up of strong rose and powder. Once in a while I get a whiff of something sweet underneath that could have the potential to be a really nice and sweet fragrance, but unfortunately, that drowns in the heady rose. The patchouli emerges after the scent has dried down on the skin and it brings a sourness that is well needed. Though, it almost giving a cassis like smell, and the blend still feels slightly synthetic and headache-inducing. Though, if you are into heavy roses and powder this would be a great perfume to sample, because the longevity is close to eternal. After applying this at around 8am I am still getting whiffs of it at 9pm!

boring , flat and evanescent white musk with a tiny touch of flowers and yellow fruits. Maybe pleasant the time it lasts... it means 2min.

They should be ashamed of themselves for making a scent that has zero longevity and sillage.
