Venetian Blue

What a beautiful fragrance! It is a great, energetic, masculine scent that I unfortunately, as a 20-year old, cant pull off easely, which makes me sad, because I have gotten so many compliments with this one. Literally, the three times I wore it, Venetian Blue was more complimented than all of my other fragrances this year combined (excluding Armani Code). It starts off fresh and citrusy, with dominant apple and lime note, gets kind of synthetic for some time (which is the most complimented part of the fragrance, idk why). This part is like a luxurious version of a certain Nivea roll-on antiperspirant in a dark blue bottle that got discontinued. Funny thing about that: my girlfriend had a habbit of saying that a 5$ antiperspirant was better than my fragrances. When she smelled Venetian Blue, she couldnt believe it, and was smitten by it! She kept sniffing me all day. In the end, the moss note comes up and stayes there as long untill the end, which comes after about 10h for 1 spritz (but hey, I once got 24h for light blue, so dont take my skin as a reference).This mature and masculine juice is packed in a beautiful bottle made in style of Venetian decorative glass, but a part of what made the expirience of visiting the store in Verona is decor of the store itself. So calming and beautifully arranged, it got me in love with the brand. Cant wait to get old enough so I can wear this! PS. If you are ever in Venice, visit their Flagship store. You wont regret it!

Upon the initial spray, I’m greeted with a refreshing burst of apple and citrus, complemented by a hint of marine aroma—perfect for a spring day. This opening is not only fresh but also carries a slight sweetness and an earthy quality that I find quite appealing. It’s truly one of the reasons I decided to purchase it during my trip. Approximately 20 minutes in, the scent evolves into rich woody notes, with the earthy undertone becoming more pronounced. At this point, the middle phase reminds me of a designer blue fragrance. After about two hours, we transition into the drydown, which evokes the aroma of Aventus. After looking up the notes, its clear the birch, moss, and ambergris in the drydown as the elements that connect these two fragrances. In terms of performance, Venetian Blue has great projection during the first two hours, settling closer to the skin as it dries down. Overall, it lasts about six hours before fading away. When I first encountered this scent at the boutique, I was drawn to its familiar vibe, though I couldn't quite place it. After multiple wears, I realize it embodies a hybrid character for me. The opening feels reminiscent of a fresh marine scent similar to Aqua di Giò, while the drydown aligns with the Aventus. Overall, Venetian Blue is a wonderful example of a slightly matured blue scent, making it a versatile option for any man throughout the year. It beautifully merges two iconic fragrance families into one remarkable perfume.

This is a spectacular scent! Not in a way that it's loud and attention grabbing, but in a subtle, tasteful way. The smell is woody - warm, sunny even, but with strong marine accord and something deliciously tasty and unusual. Firstly, I thought it was the birch, because this is the sweet smell of birch and birch sap I am used to smelling in northern Europe. There is this sweet accord of almost pillow-like soft creamy moss and a fantastic smell of something remotely fruity. I just now noticed the green apple in the composition. The green apple smell couldn't be further from the chemical baby shampoo "green" smell we have all gotten accustomed to, but rather the smell of a freshly pressed juice of green apples. Delicious. Black pepper and patchouli are barely there, and rather add in dimension to the scent itself, making the soft fruity edges a bit more masculine. The overall vibe is relaxed, soft and confident. I fell in love with this scent, it's a masterpiece in my opinion. Special mention should be made about the bottle, which is stunning and a work of art in itself.

This is, essentially, an aquatic version of Aventus. Although not mentioned in the notes above, the company lists pineapple in the top notes, and although it's there, more prominence is given to the apple, lemon and bergamot, making for a sharper opening. It also has a more spicy vibe but there's no doubt that it carries the Aventus DNA. It doesn't have the depth of Aventus because of the lack of florals and the aquatic elements make this more translucent, but if you're looking for a quality alternative then this might serve you well. It's certainly better than many of the cheap, synthetic Aventus clones that have appeared of late. Aventus + Acqua di Gio = Venetian Blue I get reasonable longevity, however, I wished it projected for longer. Projection and silage are good to start with but it does die back to a skin scent too quickly, which is a shame. Overall though, I like this, it's presented well too with the lovely Murano glass bottle. Good effort.

Venetian Blue is a gorgeous, absolutely beautifully done citrusy, freshie, mossy, appley, slightly, sweet, slightly earthy, slightly aromatic summertime scent. It’s a perfume certainly a step above the designer’s similar offerings, but I can’t comment on similarities to Creed’s Aventus since I am not familiar with it. But everything else aside, Venetian Blue smells sooo natural, realistic and delicious! The apple note, combined with bergamot, moss, pepper and patchouli is very alluring. The kind of scent that is very crowd pleasing for both genders and an easy reach for warm weather. It’s a perfume catered towards males, but I would happily wear Venetian Blue! It’s not the typical blue scent but it’s the typical classic Italian summertime DNA done to perfection! In a nutshell, Venetian Blue is another underrated gem from the brand!!

Venetian Blue by The Merchant of Venice is a charismatic marine fragrance based on an updated fougere theme. OMG this is yummy 😋 I feel like a million dollars wearing this. Blind purchase that paid off big time. On me I can smell pineapple and citrus and love and happiness. It just makes me feel good. My only issue is longevity. I need to spray a lot for it to pop, so it’s costs a fair old whack to get what I want it to shout out but it’s worth every penny. Sex appeal in a bottle without causing any sexist rage to those very pc 🙏 Buy it Spritz it Love it ❤️

Strong green, marine, mossy blast at the first 2 minutes which is nice smelling don't get me wrong but is a bit heavy and burdensome to some noses. However, after the 10 minute mark or so and the dry-down, it releases a really clean fresh manly sophisticated scent much like creed Aventus. This isn't a direct clone and it's not trying to be, Merchant of Venice Venetian blue is a sophisticated and beautiful play at the overdone DNA that is Aventus.

Profumo inebriante e dalle note decise. Lo indosso sia per andare al lavoro che per uscire. Lo trovo abbastanza forte, ma una volta sfumato diventa parte della pelle e lascia davvero delle note interessanti. Si nota e si fa notare. Credo sia un profumo per persone con personalità. Mi piace molto e credo che lo acquisterò ancora. Completa il kit di fragranze per persone decise.

Profumo molto buono e di classe, ha delle note molto forti e ti rimane addosso per molto tempo, veramente molto buono. Consiglio anche di provare tutti gli altri tipi soprattutto se hanno lo stesso tocco di classe di questo. Il prezzo giustifica assolutamente il profumo, prendetevelo!

Ho scelto la versione venetian Blue, perché adoro i profumi da uomo! Che dire, non ho mai sentito un profumo così buono, già con una goccia praticamente ho lasciato la scia, e la durata? Dalla mattina che l'ho applicato, l'ho sentito fino alla sera. Buonissimo!

Ottimo profumo, ha una lunga durata, ha un odore molto forte che però si sfuma. Puo sembrare un profumo maschile a primo impatto ma in realtà secondi me è unisex poiché una volta sfumato è molto dolce

smells like creed aventus/ club de nuit

La fragranza è molto buona, maschile, adatta sia al giorno che alla notte. Lo trovo adatta a tutte le stagioni, ma in larticolare alla primavera e all’estate. Il rapporto qualità prezzo è a mio parere eccellente, in quanto dura a lungo sulla pelle e bastano pochissime spruzzate per un profumo intenso. Consiglio vivamente questo profumo a chi cerca una classica fragranza da uomo

Molto carino il packing, semplice ma al tempo stesso posso dire anche elegante. La boccetta non è molto grande, quindi comoda anche da mettere nella borsa. Prima volta che provo questa marca. La fragranza appare fresca, delicata e non troppo invasiva.

The scent is very fresh but is also intense. It is elegant and gives off such a fresh feeling. I have been complimented many times when wearing this out and so I would definitely recommend this over and over again!

The scent itself is good, in the realm of aventus but bit more woody.

A higher quality Afnan Supremacy Silver that dries down slightly differently. The best but also most expensive iteration of the Supremacy Silver/L'Aventure/Rasasi Zebra kind of Aventus clone. Which is to say they kinda sorta smell like Aventus but not really, in part due to the common note they all share of some weird waxy synthetic ambergris mixed with birch note that is not present in the original and gives these clones a distinct (not great) smell. Blind bought this and not too pleased about it. Not worth the purchase.
