Venezia Essenza pour femme is ylang ylang fragrance that stands between Micallef Ylang in Gold and Perris Monte Carlo Ylang Nosy Be. It is thick, a little bit syrupy, a little bit creamy, and a great deal beautiful. Too bad I haven't smelled Tom Ford Velvet Orchid/Lumiere for many compare this with it. That being said, I think Fragrantica got the notes wrong on this, and I think the actual notes come close to the one I found on other perfume database: T: petitgrain, white peach, ylang-ylang M: rose, jasmine, vanilla B: amber, sandalwood, patchouli And I could also detect some heliotrope in here that gives off a sense of powdery in the dry down. Overall, this is a very good ylang perfume, very versatile imho, it's quite sexy in the evening and on chilly temperature, thanks to the vanilla and amber, but it could also work in tropical setting, thanks to the ylang and the fruity aspect of the fragrance.

This is not super original but extremely well blended, perfect for hot summer evening going for a walk with your date in an old city where streets are narrow and lights are dim.

Absolutely amazing! Sweet but subtle ylang and the peach is really fresh and real. Rose is also very natural and well blended. Not usually a fan nor of peach but in this perfume both work extremely well.

Um, NO. The scent is too strong and thick. When it dies out, it is 100% identical to Bal à Versailles by Jean Desprez, same musk. I think this perfume is essentially for old ladies. While Desprez is more Oriental and unusual and smells like spice, Venezia by The Merchant of Venice is somewhat indistict. No to that.
