Vetiver Haiti

What a remarkable scent this is! I enjoy vetiver so much and this is incredibly good one. The beginning brings a picture in my mind: an old stone house with interior walls covered with white square ceramic plates (smooth, easy to wash, like a soviet-time hospital) which is abandoned and has a mossy smell inside, located near the sea. I feel like walking around and then inside that house. There is also something lightly sweet in all this which never occurs in a real abandoned house. So this barely notable sweetness at the beginning hints a different interpretation like an old summer house near the beach. Vetiver is so amazing and I really enjoy this one, be it on my hand or on my shirt. I got slightly dizzy when smelling and enjoying this: by the smell and the pictures in my mind that it evoked. I remember my experience with Nishane's Sultan Vetiver: for me it had a certain "gone rancid" quality or even "if you are really interested in me then you have to accept all that I am, both good and bad". Such a bold, intensive if not screeching statement -- totally absent in this one. This scent is calm, reflecting, enjoyable and therefore much more wearable outside where other people may smell this. I have to reflect a bit more if I would like to go out and smell like an old decaying house. Still, this is only my own interpretation of it, who knows how other people will take it. I have to try for sure. But at home, this is certainly something to enjoy a lot. I can't get my nose away from my hand and shirt! One of the best blind buys ever! When trying it again after a while it was so good that I got goosebumps -- first time ever with a perfume! Almost forgot the bottle! The small 30 ml bottle is made of heavy glass and it has a heavy black cap. The level of the liquid is visible through the bottle when looking against a stronger light source. The overall heaviness of the bottle somehow reflects the vetiver's earthiness and stability, like saying: "I'm here and I've been here for a long time already. Enjoy me if you want (but you don't have to if you don't want)."

Smells weird, even for a male (I'm a girl). Guess I dislike vetiver. I got a sample and I would never buy a full size for myself nor for a man. Plus I also guess it doesn't work well with my skin chemistry because it started fading away after a few minutes. Little to no projection, let alone sillage
