Vinegia

A really lovely perfume in a really lovely bottle. Can’t stop sniffing myself. Lol. This must be a form of self love, spraying the scent you love on your body and sniff on. Anyway the scent smell like dates and oud to me for some reason.

When you first spray it, it smells a bit vintage and I’m not sure what’s giving this fragrance that smell but as it develops it becomes sophisticated and still mature. The rose smells deep and red, it could be because of the red berries. I only get a hint of oud in the dry down and it’s not animalic but it could be because I’m used to real animalic ouds. Overall I would give this fragrance an 8/10 😊

I really wanted to love this perfume. The notes seemed promising. And other fragrances I've tried from The Merchant of Venice are so high quality and well-blended, I've hoped to find my fragrance. Sadly, I do not think Vinegia is going to be the one. Let me say there are two Vinegia perfumes...one is Vinegia EDP and one is Vinegia 21 EDP Concentree, a limited edition exclusive from TMoV. The less expensive and more available variation is Vinegia, which is the one I own. I have sent for a 5ml Vinegia 21 sample, which I hope will work better for me. But so far, all TMoV fragrances have been passes. Vinegia EDP opens with a huge blast of berries and spice (coriander, I suppose). Mid-notes present tons of dark resinous woods, oud and some lush, wet ferns & greens. Landing and dry down are a pleasant enough benzoin, vanilla and musk base. Vinegia is sort of nondescript. Silage is moderate to low; longevity is moderate lasting about 4-5 hours. FWIW, this fragrance leans very masculine for my tastes. Perhaps Vinegia 21 with it's softer, powdery & floral notes will lean more feminine. For the price point, there are literally hundreds of similar fragrances on the market that wear like Vinegia. While nice enough with extremely well-blended notes and a gorgeous presentation, I wouldn't buy this again.

top notes: wet wood, oud, unisex, warm, spicy, well-blended, sharp middle notes: clay, oud, moist, wood, leather, powder base notes: leather, oud, stinky, powdery (like play dough) yeh its a no..... try it before you buy a bottle please. 5/10.
