This is a beautifully unusual smell. I really can’t place any of the notes, as they meld together to create an addictive aura. Up close I didn’t think it was a love. But I constantly get whiffs of this sophisticated and unique smell in the air. Will mix with First Milk of the same brand. These feel niche quality to me, albeit close to skin. Well done for the price.

opening is the only reminiscence of santal 33, it quickly develops into something totally different and the sandalwood becomes tucked into the background. beautiful, powdery soft woods, semi-sweet floral. really digging this one.

Wow, I was expecting to hate this. Ethereal flower and spices with sweet wood in the background. I don’t really get any smokiness like everyone seems to smell, it’s more resinous than anything. I’m probably oud’s number one hater and I don’t detect it at all. This is a very safe oud fragrance. Unisex.

Nope it doesn’t smell like santal 33 even though it has cardamom and nope you can’t smell any oud. The scent is very unsual and smells minty.

Very spicy and peppery opening, which gives way to a sweeter mid with cardamom and florals. Nice enough but nothing I haven't smelled before.

why am i smelling mint and lavender

My Impression: Tested on skin. Initial spray had some interesting elements, but very quickly turned too smoky. It’s not a heavy smokiness but an airy one that I think others would find pleasing. The incense/woody base completely took over and I couldn’t detect the sweeter notes like caramel at all. There’s a strong, lingering smokiness that feels overwhelming to my base sensitive nose, and it sits on the skin in a way that feels “soft” rather than thick. It lacks the balance I prefer—everything gets pulled into that dark, smoky base. I tried to give it time, but the mid and drydown stayed dominated by that same smoky/woody profile without softening. Final Verdict: Too smoky and base-heavy for my taste. Overpowers the lighter notes and lacks balance. Not something I would wear.

Was so excited to try this, but on my skin, all I got was camphorous juniper. Truly nothing but menthol for 3 hours. Love the brand ethos and Frank Voelkl, I'm sure Otherwhere smells great on some people, but definitely not on me. I'll stick with First Milk.

Warm spices with peppery musks wrapped around sweet almond blossom with a light airiness to it. The caramel here is subtle for warmth and sweetness, the violet also managing to be subtle despite usually being such an invasive note. It adds a soft powdery texture, and the woods also have a subtlety to them there. This manages to take notes that would otherwise overpower each other, feel heavy, and loud, and makes them subdued, soft, and melded together in a really airy composition. This is softly sweet, warm, floral, and perfectly woody.

So strange. It smells exactly like hot peppermint tea to me on skin. Assuming it's the juniper berry? I don't get any oud thankfully. I would say it's unisex for sure but a tad more masculine. I hate santal 33, to me this perfume smells nothing like that.
