Amber Molecule

Is it an amber perfume, or an iris one? The powder accord, the iris and the white flowers(minimal) make it slightly feminine leaning, but some may interpret it as metrosexual, just like Dior Homme Parfum. Actually, to me, it smells like the latter minus the leather note. It's not one of those syrupy sweet ambers, and it's not dry neither; it's got just the right amount of sweetness. To me, it smells glamorous and expensive. I can see a male in a really nice Tux, or a female in a black dress wearing this. This is a must try not only for amber lovers, but also iris, and generally soft, velvety perfumes. I love it!

I absolutely adore the opening of this fragrance! It’s probably the orris root (which I love). But I find the dry down to be a little bit baby powder like. :/ but wait... then the baby powder fades away and it’s more akin to a sugared extremely mild vetiver and honey... it’s really nice! I guess it must be the musk-labdanum-vanilla. The sandalwood is really blended and distinguishable, -which I appreciate, because sometimes sandalwood really takes over a fragrance and doesn’t play well with others, and creates that smell that everyone complain smells pickle-like. This doesn’t do that at all. It’s a sensual, warm, very sweet, and slightly dark amber. I love orris. I’m very glad that the rose and powder disappear on my skin, and it’s very sweet.

Amber Molecule is a sterile and abstract name for such a corporeal, ultra-femme scent. It's mainly a flower-infused powder and vanilla with a pleasing hint of warm skin. It's vintage-tinged but also easy and unfussy. What I like most about Amber Molecule is that it takes two elements that can be heavy and suffocating - amber and powder - and provides a relatively sheer, airy take on both. It's not wildly interesting, but as an easy, well-balanced floral-powder, it's perfectly lovely.

To my nose this is not feminine leaning, but more masculin. I taught it would smell a bit softer.

I used to work as Azzi's PA. I met her once during an interview I've been doing for Polish press and it lead to a crossing paths on a professional level. My story with Amber Molecule is quite funny as I hate sweet or powdery fragrances. I tend to wear overpowering, oriental, weird like Azzi's "C" (spectacular!) or not obvious and sexy like "S&X" (my "I am going out as I need to get laid" or "fuck me" perfume) fragrances. Someone close to my heart has passed away last year and I was looking for comfort. I sprayed Amber Molecule and it felt like I was cuddled by the best lover ever. On my way back home, on the tube, someone asked me what am I wearing. Aaaaaand... asked me out. LITERALLY. I'd say that Amber Molecule is more feminine but depends on the skin it can smell quite musky. There is an animalistic note in it that I ADORE. It's a scent I love to wear before going to bed. Oh, and when Kaia Gerber came to the studio - she was in love with Amber Molecule.
