De La Mer

Fresh and aquatic scent. Very clean and light. Perfect for summer.

Nice aquatic /marine fresh fragrance. Too ozonic and airy for me. Opens with sea notes and salt which develops into something distinctly mossey. Rosemary is detectable occasionally. This fragrance has good projection and average longevity 6/10. *Edit - after trying this again a month later, it is actually a much more powerful fragrance than I first thought, the projection is actually impressive for a marine fragrance. This time I notice a much woodier moss note, 8m definitely appreciating this one more and more!

This is clean crisp and office safe. Same vein as mancera vetiver sensual and ILK realist. Can smell the persimmon and rosemary throughout with a little floral sweetness at the background. De la mer = of the sea - *but not your typical aquatic with calone note or ambroxan. This is more airy and clean.

This isn't my favourite of the line, but I do really like the soap version of it! There is citrus pith (no fruit), seawater, and rosemary in the top and I'm sure some other herbal notes (maybe clary sage?). There's no sweetness and there's a medicinal quality I suppose is common to non-sweet aromatics. A blast of cedar and oakmoss compose the base. This fence sits across the aromatic/aquatic/chypre categories. It's very dry and the rosemary/aromatics are strong. It's a windswept, cool beach with a forest overlooking chalk cliffs. Although it's not as cold and bitter as Ocean Drive, this is no sandy summer destination. Overall, it's fine but I'd like to smell the rose or maybe the grapefruit in the same way that it manifests in, say, Alchemy. But this is probably somebody's bag. it would smell amazing on a man. Fresh bergamot and aquatic sea salt opening. Clean and soapy, smells Aldehydic with some rose. Oakmoss in drydown. Unfortunately I strongly dislike aldehydes, not for me.

I have purchased the men's starter kit form the Saltworks. This smells really good on my skin, fruity and fresh, it suits my personality (for spring and summer). It starts as it means to go on fruity fresh, a very nice spring summer fragrance, I am considering purchasing this one. Would I recommend it Yes.
