Figaro

I encountered this brand online and got a free sample which is Figaro and WOW! I love it. It is the perfect summer scent with fig and fruits. It's fruity but on the fresh side. I fell in love with the brand ever since and purchased lots of travel size. Such an underrated brand.

This is one of my favourites from the sample set. Like Summer Daze and Sicilia it opens with a fresh, juicy and realistic citrus note. I'm positive it's lime (and there are limes in the image on the website, even if they aren't listed in the official notes), followed by a softer bergamot. Unlike with French Fig, which is a Philosykos-like fig wood/leaf and coconut scent, the fig here is the fruit - sweet, ripe and juicy - and unlike the "aquatic" drydown of Summer Daze and the "woody herbal" drydown of Sicilia, this citrus-opener has a fruity-green tea drydown that is actually my favourite of the three. The juiciness of the fig is tempered by the green tea-like note. The cedar is there but very light, compared to the heavy woods in French Fig or Sicilia. This is a simple, youthful scent but very wearable and great for summer. I prefer French Fig because it's the more sophisticated Diptyque "Philosykos" fig type. This one leans more towards Phlur's "Father Figure" -- in fact it's very similar to that scent, not just in profile but also in sillage and longevity. This one is definitely a "skin" scent and doesn't have the projection of French Fig. But it's more powerful than "Father Figure" (must be the higher concentration of the juice) and a bit greener, but it doesn't last more than 3-ish hours. They are pleasant hours though!

I really like this one! It is a very bright, fresh spring summer scent. The bergamot and fig really works together, it is a really vibrant zingy opening which settles down into its woody base as a rounded scent. It never loses the lovely bergamot fig combination which is very much at the front during the early stages, but it does quieten down significantly. I found that it quietly lasted a long time on my skin, after a couple hours it hits the skin scent category. To me, this is also completely unisex. Definitely worth a sample, I'd even suggest you could blind buy a travel size, it is worth it!

An absolutely gorgeous scent that's perfect for sunny climates, but it's weak as shit when it comes to longevity. Saltworks claim to be 25% pure perfume (most other EdPs are around 15%), but the only way I can tell this is stronger is by measuring the rash it triggers on my neck. I'd even make peace with the itchy, rashy neck if the scent lasted longer; I adore fig scents, but unfortunately it's gone within the hour.

A beautiful citrus fragrance with the addition of fig which gives it a jammy scent. Perfect for summer, it has moderate silage but the negative is that it only lasts about two hours before losing its power.

Realistic green fig, citrusy bergamot and lime opening. Very aromatic and a little bit spicey. To me it reads as masculine, perhaps because of the strong cedar, but looking at the Saltworks reviews it seems to be mostly women buying this fragrance. I'm not a big fan of prominent citrus so it's hard for me to really get behind this, it really kind of reminds me of a man's shower gel or soap from maybe 20 years ago. Okay, I won't be coy... it reminds me of my dad! It's not a sweet, milky, or fruity kind of fig. It's very fresh, invigorating, summery, and quite uplifting. The scent is quite powerful and doesn't evolve notably over time. It feels very high quality to my nose and suspect many others would rate it higher. This is simply just not the profile I go for.

Juicy burst of fig and lemon on opening, very photorealistic fig which stays as it settles, a woody base seeps through and there's a freshness.. Mint? Great scent if you love fruity sweet notes but don't want it to stay sweet throughout the whole fragrance because the woody base becomes the main player. Longevity 6/10, and projection is standard for this profile. 5/10
