Meridian

Of the two pomegranate scents that Saltworks does, I prefer Pomegranate & Amber which weirdly has the same listed pyramid (pomegranate - plum - patchouli), but a very different photo on the website. Meridian shows cantaloupe melon in the fragrance photo and there is a very strong melon note here. There is a less distinct red fruit note in the background - could be pomegranate or plum - but like the person below (and according to the literature), alongside the melon is a dominant aquatic/saltwater note with musk. I would call this a fresh melon/aquatic musk with other fruits. There's also a soapy undertone to the aquatic note, and some woody patchouli on the drydown as the red fruits get stronger and the melon burns off. It's not bad. It's very fresh. But overall, it's really not my bag. I prefer Pomegranate and Amber, which is a more fruit-oriental take on the same listed pyramid with a lot more pomegranate (and is a completely different scent, really). But then we know the pyramids of both scents are missing bits. I'm sure this will be someone's favourite, but it wasn't mine.

I don’t get any pomegranate in this at all. Smells like a generic fresh woody aquatic (Edit: the Saltworks website still advertises Meridian as pomegranate, however the notes card that comes with their Fresh sample box has the main notes as lychee, salt water and musk. That’s what I would describe it more as)

Aquatic opening with citrus and patchouli. Very airy / ozonic. Little projection 2/10. A Mancera Wave Musk like profile but with a quarter of the performance. Fruity notes very weak, could be melon? Performance needs to improve for me to even consider reviewing this further...

Marine, fruity, salty and weird, not for me.
