Bakhoor Bliss

Reminds me a a lot of like a vintage Amouage Epic Man, you immediately get the white pepper and Agarwood & light incense. It then transitions into the cashmerewood and amberwood which gives it like an almost green feeling but not quite. It’s really really good and can honestly be worn all year round. I love it and will keep this in my rotation going forward. Projects well and village is great. I would say if you like Epic Man then please give this one a try.

Competent, forgettable, fairly priced at a discount. Buy it if your collection has a gap. Otherwise, put the money toward a bottle you'll be excited to wear. Who should buy it: ○ You want an incense-oud scent and own nothing else in that category ○ You find it on discount ○ You want a low-risk evening scent for dinners or work events Who should skip it: ○ You already own an incense-and-warm-wood fragrance. I own a few Brioni bottles and one of them covers this exact ground. Adding this changed nothing about my rotation. ○ You want a proper oud with the traditional medicinal, animalic character. This is the polished version. ○ You want a scent that gets compliments or feels distinctive. It does neither. No flaws worth reporting. No reason to prioritize it either. Sample before buying. If you like it enough to want a bottle, wait for a discount rather than paying full price, because there's nothing here that justifies urgency. If you skip it, you're missing nothing.

Calming, masculine and almost cold. Like a whiff of incense carried by a cold wind. The note combination pushes it into a somewhat medicinal/sterile/astringent accord upon first spray, which quickly fades to white pepper. If you’ve ever smelled any of those dark beast-mode scents like Kilian Dark Lord, Gucci Guilty Absolute, Akro Ink etc, Bakhoor Bliss is very gently reminiscent of those fragrances. Much like the makers description, this indeed has an essence of peace, contemplation and tranquility.

They have gone nuts and just increased the price by over 200 euros in 3 months. Not cool! Might just give it a pass!
