Silvr Lightning

The top notes are very green, an astringent green that is also shifting quickly in the heart of the perfume - which is interesting after all because sometimes they disappear completely. After this first vision, I really have a big close-up of a transparent silver/sky blue aspect, very aldehyde, delicate, and above all really airy. The tea arrives more explicitly in the picture a few seconds after this interlude, and it is finally what is staying to dominate the accord over time - with almost a tiny citrus aspect to my nose, even if not evoked in the official pyramid. I think the evolution on the tea is nicely spicy. We can read the pink pepper and cardamom accord very well, without any of the sickening sweetness that is sometimes added in "men" accords (which is a big plus to my nose). What intrigues me the most is this vetiver hiding in the background. I think it is very particular. Not sure if I've ever smelled one with this specific scent (I would say it's darker, and woodier, but also bolder, less rough, and fresher than what I've been used to with this note. I'd make the same criticism as I did with the other iris-based fragrance: the biggest strength seems to be the simplicity of the overall picture, and the ostensible quality of the ingredients used. It is not a mishmash of notes arranged in a perspective of a "more", and it seems to me that the house occupies the middle ground between the very light and finely designed luxury market and that of the 100% natural perfumery, often highlighting ingredients who have returned to the basics, but sometimes by neglecting the overall compositions and the "artistic" aspect of the picture. On the other hand, even if it holds better on my skin than Ashen Orris (which disappears in no time, to my great despair), the hold is not its strong point. Not a real favorite like the latter, but still a very interesting (and relaxing, in many ways) perfume.
