Its complexity and sophistication make it a true olfactory treasure, perfect for those looking for a unique and memorable experience in the world of perfumery. I was really impacted by such complexity mixed harmonically in perfect balance, there is nothing chaotic here! Diwan already impresses with a complex opening of a magnificent steaming incense crackling in the center of this arabesque environment, 'oud woody soft and sweet smoking red fruits, ornamented with satin roses, and seasoned by fresh and spicy spices, light bright aldehydes, with a very discreet animalic touch complete this scenario of the thousand and one nights. It also has some refreshing citrus and fresh green leaves blowing a brief freshness into its crevices. Making a perfect connection with a sumptuous heart of Taif rose with its citrus freshness, which is still accompanied by a whiff of a delicious and surprisingly aromatic coffee at the center of this composition, undeniably referring to its corresponding "predecessor", Majalis. An amber, which adds a warm depth, and always having a smoky background that gives mystery and sophistication. The fruity notes provide a juicy sweet fresh touch. The quality of the raw materials are excellent. What a delicious perfume! This warm amber, with delicate powdery and earthy notes with a sophisticated iris, the bittersweet fruity rhubarb, a bouquet of floral notes transport to large hanging gardens against the blue sky and warmed by the hot breath of the Dubai desert, that breath of Arabic coffee meets the rich honey with incense that refers to a delicacy very common to the inhabitants of the Khalij (Gulf) forming a gourmet accord. The experience culminates in a deep base of an opulent and resinous Indian leathery oud slightly animalic, reinforced with another dose of a sacred frankincense with mystical myrrh, animalistic castoreum, and the smoky sweetness of a resinous benzoin exponentially increases the smoky incensed character of the fragrance. Noble woods with emphasis on creamy sandalwood, guaiac wood and cedar bring a balsamic woody resinous base. It also has soft musk, vanilla beans and tonka adding a discreet sweetness to this drying. Diwan fulfills very well the mission of representing an incandescent bakhoor with a mukhallat/blend of the best incense sticks in the world. Wonderful perfume! It performs great!

Diwan's list of notes, all 44 of them, lets you know up front that this fragrance is designed to somehow make them fit together in a way that does not end up smelling like some hooch that teens mixed together from all the various alcohols in their parent's liquor cabinet. But I felt I had to give a test and see what the exorbitantly priced fragrance would smell like on my skin. I must admit that I am impressed the House of Dubai managed to pull this off. Now when I state this I do not mean it is worth a full bottle, but I do enjoy its multi-layered unfolding. For those looking for a scent that lasts for 12 hours, you won't find it here. It is strong on me for about 4 to 5 hours and that is usually as long as I need a scent to last. The multiple Ouds are smooth and dominant. The incense, rose, and coffee all are a part of the blend that I find the most powerful after the Ouds. I have not worn it enough yet to see if I will gradually be able to pick out even half of the listed notes, but I can identify over 12 on my first wearing. This is not a fragrance to make a room turn in your direction when you walk in. Silage is moderate to strong. Some have compared it to Majalis but I haven't tried that one. I have tried a number of this House's scents and have quite enjoyed all of them. A couple of them are in my top 20 of all time. I am not sure I would rate it in my top three from this House, but it could happen over subsequent wearings. I think most will enjoy the aura and opulence if you are into Middle Eastern Ouds. It leans masculine and could be worn in any season but more as a night than day scent.

This one give you the feel of arabic souks the ones fumigated with the most powerful scented bukhoor/incense. As I sprayed it, I was hit by a powerful wave of oud and incense - rich balsamic sweet and smoky tone. And I discovered a sweet exotic non musty taif rose in the heart. Quite a nice surprise. There is a tobaccish ambergris like effect as well. Soon it becomes a bit floral amd musky with a sweet and sour tangy fruity note from Majalis. A complex scent reminding of many mukhallats (oud-floral-incensy blends). The quality is definitely there. The price should be exactly half of what is proposed. Not my favorites from the line. Its just a refined version of Majalis. At this price I definitely expect a miraculous effort. However for those who crace dark rich oriental chrpyre sort of scents which do are not made these days this is a must try. And I also found out that the fragrance is actually themed on incense/bukhoor and it smells quite like it.

This is an instant blast of a perfume notes right on your face! This is bold, strong, dark, deep, sweet, animalic, oudy, fruity, rosy, and everything nice! Thr moment you spray, you will detect a beautiful oud note which is mixed with beautiful fruity notes that are not too sweet, you will smell almost 12 different things from the starting! This is immensely strong and potent and might also make you go anosmic, but the smell is soooooo seductive you won’t stop smelling yourself. This is a brilliant perfume but the insane price will never justify anything that is perfume. If you can find it on discounters you should go for it, if you can find decants or partial bottles for good price, just go for it! This is extremely expensive smelling, very very Middle Eastern, but very addictive. Smell 10/10 Longevity 100/10 Sillage 100/10 Price -100 way way too expensive

I've been looking for a realistic middle eastern incense heavy fragrance. This over delivers all expectations. Calming, meditative burning incense. The Taif Rose is done to perfection in the dry down. The fruits lighten up the Oud and smokey incense to give it contrast. Blended so well, the Oud isn't funky as the note pyramid suggest. As the commenter below said, it does give the smell of oud chips being burned which I find to be exactly what it smells like in real life. This is the best middle eastern fragrance I've put my nose to thus far. Pure incense bahkoor in the most realistic form. Price is outrageous but worth a sample and full bottle if you can find a good deal on it.
