Turath

A luxurious concoction of Dried fruits, Rose, Smoke Incense, and Vanilla. Turath is a dense and complex fragrance with deep rich notes yet you can identify all the major accords in it and trust me it's a lot more than just Rose and Oud. In the opening, you have a blast of crisp dried fruits, light citrus, and a lot of spicy sweetness. The warmth you experience in the top notes gives you the idea of which direction Turath will head. The smoky rose develops right away as top notes settle down on your skin. There is a lot of rose in the heart and its smoky jammy rose not the typical rose water kind of vibe. As the rose note starts to fade, the oud and dry woods give it a dusty direction while the smoke and incense make it extremely intoxicating. The smoke here is quite smooth not the one that makes you cough. In the drydown, you experience some leather mixed with amber and the sweetness of sandalwood and vanilla. There is a slight animalic touch in the base but the fragrance has enough fruits, sweet, and rose that it does not let animalic note bloom and its almost nonexistent. Overall, Turath is a delicious fragrance to wear with excellent longevity with moderate to great sillage and projection.

Another masterpiece from this house along with Baz (My 2 favorite from this house) They have some similarities Baz being darker, richer, & more masculine turath being more fruity unisex & wearable. It has an Oriental gourmand middle eastern-esque scent profile. Just a look at the ~60 notes and one can imagine the quality that goes into these fragrances. IMO they are well worth it. Can be found at discounters ~$250 USD. Fruity notes, rose, oud, musk, & woods is what I get from this. Of my 100+ Fragrance collection this happens to be my sisters favorite and my wife also loves it. It’s the most complex fragrance in my collection and each time I wear it I get something different out of it. (Probably due to maceration or the weather). It truly takes you on a scent journey! Highly recommend for anyone that doesn’t mind shelling out the money for it. It’s worth it’s price-tag in scent and quality alone

Turath is a gorgeous concoction of notes, led, to my nose, by strawberry and other fruits, oud, and ambergris, enriched by rose, resting on a complex base of spices and woods. In some ways a gourmand, the sweetness is well balanced by oud and balsamic notes, for me preventing the composition from becoming cloying. Sillage and longevity are remarkable, quite the largest of any perfume in my collection, creating a sizeable trail around the wearer for hours and lasting for days on clothes. The bottle and packaging I received (which includes a travel case for the bottle) were also first rate. My favourite of the Spirit of Dubai niche collection alongside Meydan, Bahar, and Oud.

A very high class perfume, I can't even tell which note prevails because it is a really well done combination of ingredients. Worn this morning, now that it's evening I still feel it on my wrists, and I really like it. Surely it gets noticed and gets many compliments. On my skin it starts out as very strong (and I confess, when I tried it for the first time it left me perplexed for a moment) to then soften and become softer but always decisive. Maybe I feel a very slight hint of oud but really minimally perceptible. A perfume that is essential for me to have in my collection.

Turath, my first perfume I tried from Spirit of Dubai, its currently sub 30° Farenheit in NY, and after applying it for the first time I walked outside into the cold night air and the sillage was stunning . A mix of floral, fruit and leather all wafting thru the cold night air, it had a regal and original scent trail. I immediately ordered a full bottle. Very situational tho, not working friendly, this one is for the outdoors, you will choke people out.

This is delightful. I have a decant that I’m leaning into at the moment. Gorgeous almost voluptuously fruity opening on my skin. Sweet and dense a lot like Pantheone Roma’s Annone, however the oud as I experience it adds some depth and darkness to it. Taking the sweet and weaving in woody and musky notes that balance things. At times honeyed and times smokey, it’s very intriguing. Even rosey notes surface. Loving this in cooler spring weather.

Middle Eastern style dominated by dried fruit. Complex and fun to wear, series of notes will play hide and seek with your nose. Performance is great. Strong and long lasting, but a bit too strong for hot weather. Nice packaging, although not the top notch like Amaffi or Henry Jacques.

Total masterpiece. Strong (!!!) and out worldly beautiful. The oud is exquisite and the dry down is a journey unlike anything else. This fragrance is for true lovers of oud and Middle Eastern perfumery. Be prepared to get noticed. This fragrance is NOT discreet.

I have the dupe by Oudessa & it’s absolutely divine. Extremely beast mode & unisex. I’m typically not into unisex fragrances, but this can definitely fit with whoever wears it. Fruits, saffron, rose, and a hint of oud 😍

This is a very nice masculine middle eastern fragrance. You definitely have to let it macerate for about a month at least.

This stuff has really grown on me. It's extremely likeable, with a sweetness that's never gourmand and a dark, plush rose note that's enjoyable even for a non-rose scent person like me. At first, the immediate wet spray hit: Head shop incense mixed with a "burnt" note - the burnt tip of an incense stick. Nottttt surrrrre about this trip I was taking myself on [keeps walking nonetheless]. However: Walking down the aisles of the souk, I smell an array of dried fruits in a dish next to the incense - dates, prunes, apricots. I start to dream to myself that it would be nice to soak them in brandy or bourbon, but - nope, none of that here. Just incense, dried fruits and hmmm --- dried dark rose petals as the burnt note itself starts to burn off. Roses are saving me. Hmmm, maybe this will be ok after all. After drying into my skin is when the spice notes emerge - clove among them. Like others, I find it difficult to pick out many of the individual notes other than the ones I mentioned. There is a clear dried character to both fruit and roses; and dried fruits and botanicals become oxidized in the process of drying. This can lend a musty or "sherry" note, and this perfume opens with "musty shop full of treasures". When these are mixed with the woody incense of oud, I'm not surprised that we're all trying too hard to "see" these notes we've been given. It's as if someone is playing an expensive synthesizer, and I'm trying to determine whether what I'm hearing is an actual, wooden violin, or is it the very like impression of one? I think in those cases, it's just as well to sit back, enjoy the music, and hear what the composer wants to say to my heart. What the composer wants to do here is make us imagine what Dubai, or at least a romantic conception of Dubai, is like. Fine by me, and I'm enjoying the fragrance. It's not a tour de force, but it's very pleasant. I would not buy a full bottle at this point, but I'll definitely enjoy wearing the decant.

It took 60+ notes to produce substantially the same smell Floris Leather Oud did in nearly 1/10 the number of notes. Lol. This imo in no way merits a 4.54 rating. I think many people automatically associate, in a knee-jerk fashion, the over-abundance of notes with "complexity", and complexity with quality and artistic merit. Just look at some of the reviews below. Update: But on second thought..... Sebastian The Perfume Guy brought it up in a review of fragrances with dried fruit notes, so I sprayed Turath on test strip again and got a different experience. I noticed the dried fruits but a lot more depth, richness and complexity overall. I'm starting to really respect it more. But in reality I think the woody/smokey accords are more prominent than the fruity/sweet accords. The accord stack listed at the top of this page has that pretty much reversed. I think this fragrance would be better, or at least I would like it more, if the fruity and sweet accords were more prominent. Update2: Liking this more. Fruity and sweeter accords more prominent to me now. Well balanced. UPDATE 3/11/25: Got a bottle for a great price. Yes, I like the presentation. Very nice. And the juice out of the bottle seems to manifest those dried fruit and other fruity notes, and sweet accord in general, more than the decant I was testing with. That's great for me because, as I wrote above, I thought this fragrance would benefit from more sweetness from the fruits etc. So I can now understand the accord stack listing fruity and sweet accords at the top. But given the volume of notes, this melange doesn't seem to manifest accords in wildly disproportionate amounts. Its actually VERY well balanced between the fruity/ambery sweetness and all the darker, brooding smoky, balsamic, woody, oud, leather accords. Glad I have this.

Turath came through a friendly addition as a bottling to a swap to test to me. The brand Nabeel has not really interested me until now, because I'm not so much the friend of strong oriental perfumes. I do not like saffron, rose and leather, which already makes it very difficult to like oriental perfumes. Turath is really a firework of fragrance notes. Here I am really almost failed to recognize individual notes. I recognize fruity notes combined with some bergamot and orange, but that was it already with the recognize the top note. The heart and base notes definitely contain oud and saffron with some rose, but again I failed to be able to recognize more. Turath is really incredibly complex, which I find very good, because everything perfectly forms a unit and fits together. Unfortunately, the saffron towards the end spoils the fragrance a bit for me, because I just can't stand that note. Turath is really one of the best fragrances I've ever smelled, if I put the focus on quality and complexity. The performance is really extreme. I was able to smell the fragrance for over 24 hours with 3 sprays. The silage fills entire rooms for almost 8 hours. The price is really even okay in my opinion, considering the OVP and the quality. Turath is also not really more expensive than Xerjoff, Roja or other brands in this league.

Looking at Turath’s note breakdown, I was expecting something very sweet and cool-weather appropriate, but what I found was something surprisingly refreshing and versatile. This is a satisfyingly sweet and wearable fruity scent, which would work very well all year round. Firstly, this scent does come off very synthetic due to the use of strawberry and apple accords, as these very rarely smell natural as there is no raw material for them. This refreshing juiciness is contested by the dark stickiness of dried fruits alongside smoky incense and oud. That sweetness is elevated by a feel of sugary candied fruits, freshened up by the airy saltiness of ambergris. Turath is gorgeous I can’t lie, I’m not sure it’s worth the price but I really enjoy wearing it. It’s one of those scents you can comfortably wear in the heat of summer, and the bitter coldness of winter and not feel out of place. Gorgeous.

Inviting but familiar Oriental gourmand scent that is a kitchen sink of luscious fruit and spice notes. As the scent opens you are drowned in a medley of fruits with hints of coffee, cardamom and pepper. The brief heart has many notes but the rose, cypriol and saffron are prominent. The perfume settles on a powdery woody amber base highlighted by ambergris, incense, sandalwood, patchouli and vanilla with slight civet and leather. The name of the perfume signifies heritage and it is an ode to the indulgent luxurious hospitality that Arabian feasts are famous for. The unisex scent has moderate to strong sillage and excellent longevity. Nothing earth shattering but very pleasant and a delight to wear. Enjoy!

Price That is the problem with such expensive fragrances. It is good, but the perceptions of value and price are almost never equivalent. Does the fragrance have high quality? Certainly, yes. I paid a lot, I liked it a lot, but it's definitely not worth what it costs. Without poetry In my skin, incense is very present. Fruity, smoky and leather with oud overtones. Oud very easy, even for a hot and humid climate like that of my country. This scent reminds me of New York WIDIAN for sure. Presentation A lot that is useless. The finish is not good. Anyway labels and glue appearing.

Exquisite scent profile. Decent scent. Has a typical rose oud vibe. Reminds me of an ATH oud frag. Discernible, balanced candied fruits accord with a hard amberous overtone. The nuance is really jumbled but not messy, as there is a definite harmony. All over the place but comes together to form a more or less typical rose oud scent on a bed of crystallized, amberous wood and fruit. Not as exotic as it sounds. Just falls short of a 😍 rating for me.

I love this House. Is it over engineered like a German car? Of course it is. But it is also an experience. This thing changes every hour. It starts off fresh and sweet and then - 4 hours later the mid finally hits and it turns to beautiful rose. Dry down is ambery and like 8 hours later. It’s a wonderful scent and can be grabbed for a good price if you are willing to look.

I have a tester of this. Firstly to start with the power of it- oh my so strong and powerful! It's warm,rich with a subtle smell of the rose. I can't detect a lot of sweetness, kinda a liquorice smell and the strong wood notes. It's nice, I would prefer it on a man rather than me, my favourite is Bahar by far :-) 7/10

Definitely a lot on initial spray very flowery and smoke heavy, but the dry down is incredible, sweet, smoky, incense. Projection is great, lasts 12+ hours with ease

5/10 At first it smells like cheap Arabic fruity perfumes. After 4-5 hours, it becomes better with smoky oud, and in the dry down it reminds me of ombre nomade and a little bit of the moon by frederic malle. I don’t recommended especially in this price tag, instead Buy the moon because is way better it’s masterpiece

I (female) got this as a decant. Not bad. Pretty Smokey, some sweetness. Banger performance, lasts forever. A million notes in this one. Sweet Smokey dry down. While it leans masculine to me, I may consider a full bottle after my decant is used up. We will see.

The opening is fruity, sweet, and feminine. This is totally not my thing. However, as the fragrance develops, it's gets woodier and more unisex.

I just dont get it why this perfume is so horrendously expensive. First spray and you almost faint from the chemical, skanky oud and the heavy sweet fruity smell. The dry down isn't better, heavy spicy, medicinal/fecal oud, very very sweet fruits and some florals in the back. Sample before buying, this stuff is atomical, and not in a good way.

The horrid thrill of overbearing potency in The Spirit of Dubai's Turath, like any other cheap thrill that's lavished by exceeding one's sense of decency, somehow did not prepare me for the onslaught of brash, chemical warfare that would proceed for days on end. Although the notes here show a cornucopia fit for Whole Foods in Autumn, first blast smells "fruity" and undergirded by Western oud—that buzzy, synth-y, cloying suspension that interminably floats around the air. It's downright disingenuous to list so many notes when they're muddled this way. For a split second, somewhere in the middle, things coalesce into a bit of rose-strewn ashtray not unlike Dior's Oud Ispahan or the million other Middle Eastern rose-ouds on the market, all imitating each other with a small carrousel of aromachemicals, but like a dream that only briefly makes sense before descending in nonsensicality again, Turath's dry down turns harsh and the antithesis of whatever supposed luxury The Spirit of Dubai is aiming for. Think less Arab royalty dressed in thawbs and more the children of Arab royalty who have seen one too many movies like The Fast and the Furious and shows like Jersey Shore and who are bedecked in garish gold jewelry pulling up to the club, where in the dark, under the the loud thump of bass, and amid the hodgepodge potpourri of 3930239341 perfumes all oversprayed, Turath is still conquering all.

The opening reminded me of Terroni and Co. The same synth lacquered woodiness so loved by the Orto Parisi and more ...! Norlibanol? I initially get a hookah of fruit and cleansing aromas between Fabuloso, Aiax, Napisan, Bref .. As it dries it becomes more leathery, dark, but still dense, sweet sandalwood, loaded with lip gloss, candy, cigarettes and boring musks. The opposite of attractive. Plums, roses, cumin, agar, cypriol, cedar, tolu, currant, various Ambers, etc. A jumble that leads nowhere. How to swallow an infinite palette of colors and then throw up everything and get the classic sepia color base. I would say this is playful as a child mixing colors for the first time, but basically, it's a rotten fruit salad. To my nose, Turath The Spirit of Dubai is not ostentation, but a waste.

You wake up after a night of lucid dreaming where Rhianna doesn't turn you down and allows you to smell her farts. You remark to yourself that you never gave your bed the credit it deserves as it always takes care of you when it's time to have a chat with Mr. Sandman. After you stretch, you get up and notice neither your pet lion or US senator are in neither of their beds, so you go to walk outside and suffer a slight cut in your palm; you forgot to tell your slave to replace the missing diamond in your doorknob, so that's an extra beheading you have to look after. You're annoyed as hell already and you've only been up 10 minutes, only to discover one of the members of your harem has the audacity to be menstruating; welp, another beheading you think to yourself. And to top that off, your wife asks you to give her some cunnilingus for her birthday, and you tearfully remind her that eating pussy is Haram, as you say your goodbyes as she pleads not to be sent to the gulags, you tell her what must be done will be done. As your life is falling into shambles, You open the patio doors and gaze upon the beauty of the seemingly endless amount of poppy seeds being harvested by your imported contractors *cough slaves cough*, and think you know what, times aren't so tough. You later find yourself unwinding by sipping on a 300 year old congac crafted by the descendants of Blackbeard, after a long day of ordering 30 beheadings and the death of the infadels. Turath finally wears off, and then I'm transported back to reality where I'm just living a normal existence, no stable of whores, no opulence, no fields of poppy to turn into opiates to fund my acts of terrorism; just normalcy.

As you journey across the land, its ancestral culture seeps into you, enriching you with the poetic beauty and narrative splendor of the 'Arabian Nights' and the enchanting flavors of Arabic cuisine. The fragrance is an explosion of fruity, woody, incense, spicy, amber, musky. Enriched by a bouquet of rose and jasmine combined with the earthy flavors of patchouli and leather, and enhanced with the gourmand aromas of amber and vanilla mixed with a smoky accord with Arabica coffee, it is permeated by a musk reinforced by an enveloping animalic touch and a delicious oud that mixed with balsamic resins leaves the fragrance very arabesque. Top3 delicious complex perfume around here; Bombastic Performance! 🔥

A sniff that reminds me of the Middle East and its sweetness! To me, it smells like a gourmand oud, with a base of rose and oud combined with saffron and something indulgent like praline or caramel. The closest perfume that reminds me of is Oud Bouquet by Maison Lancome, a perfume very dear to my heart. To be completely honest, it's not a unique perfume, as I do have several other scents that smell strikingly similar (ex: Alaia - stories of oud). Nevertheless, I really enjoy this scent as I am obsessed with this specific DNA, but I don't think it's different enough from Oud Bouquet (scent profile/projection/persistence) to buy if you already have an alternative.

Very onctus compound. I get fruity incense that is very pleasing as far as the scent. My problem is that even with ten sprays I become anosmic, because after 20 mins I cannot smell a thing. I've asked unbiased 3rd parties an hour into the drydown and 4/5 could not smell it either. This was at 2 ft in distance from one another. I did pick up whiffs of fragrance 5hrs later but it was after a 30 minute sauna session. Nice scent, low projection....maybe.

Turath (Heritage), by The Spirit of Dubai, smells like sweet oudh, warm Chai spices and a sharp, pungent smell. This perfume reminds me of Honey Aoud, by Montale. I would like to compare these two, side by side, to see which one I would prefer. I think Honey Aoud would win, because even if I like the sweet and warm oudh opening in Turath, I can't look over the sharp smell that is uncovered in the dry down.

In a nutshell, this is a great fruity leather with rose, jasmine, spice/incense, with a slight smoke (patchouli) and ambergris that becomes more prominent as it dries. The musk shows up more in the later hours as well. It reminds me of a cross between Ombré Leather 16 and Oud Ispahan to give you a sense of what to expect. 100% unisex and a sexy type of scent. 7.5/10 with absolute monster performance.

I love these regal blends from Spirit of Dubai. Turath is no exception as it's such a unique twist on a Middle Eastern rose/oud fragrance. For me, it's the coconut and strawberry that I mostly pick up on, and its truly divine and heavenly. This is a creamy, slightly tropical, and exotic oasis for your senses. This is an easy love for anyone who enjoys these types of fragrances.

Dried fruits amber. Strange note in the opening I can’t out my finger on. Develops and changes over time, which is a nice experience. It’s an interesting amber but it didn’t blow me away. I’m not experienced with middle eastern fragrances so maybe I just need to explore this more to appreciate it.

In my opinion, this is a fragrance suitable for every season and for any gender. It’s extremely sexy and incredibly attractive. Since it’s a bit intense, I recommend applying it lightly. It also works really well for layering, helping you create great mixes with many other perfumes.

Simply love this scent! I am crazy for this one. Smoky + powdery with fruity one is the best I could have ever had. But the thing is, it gets too much powerful which hits me on my head and causes migraine. I am unable to let this scent go as it has been in my favorites forever!

Amazing stuff. If you like middle Eastern type of fragrances you are definetly gonna like this. If you have Aqua di Gio in your favourites you might not like something like this. But be careful it is not so easy to wear, you can't pull this off everywhere.

Your typical ambrocenide heavy designer oud type fragrance. Not a fan and is quite overdone at this point. You get some sweet and fruity hints here and there. All and all, probably not one I see myself getting a bottle of.

Smells llike a fruity head shop and in the best way possible. No weed smell, just that stereotypical incense smell that head shops have mixed with a beautiful fruity citrus vibe. I love it.

Another fruity rose oud, but this time with paper like incense, smoke and leather. This was was a bit harsh compared to Fakhama because of the woody ambers.

i have a 50ml in a box did spray it only 1 time for sale for $230 ,super strong last for days and weeks on clothes , let me know if you interested .

The beginning is a bit hash for 30 minutes, but not in bad way and the projection is very good as well. This is a good purchase.

After a few wears I am still unsure. Is it a synthetic mess or do I like it. Really can’t make up my mind 😂

I can't help but feel this is a rather clumsy composition- there is something screechy in the background.

Smells like sulphuric boiled eggs. Maybe I'm sensitive to the oud or saffron chemicals used here.

Too heavy handed on the saffron like many of the releases from this house.
