Blâme & Objurgation

First of all, this fragrance is not even close to being as bad as the comments suggest (i was a bit hesistant to even try it out after seeing the comments but i'm so glad i did anyways) First spray is quite pungent, reminiding me of oud that is a bit salty (or sweaty) As it dries the oud becomes less prominent and salt almost disappears It becomes completely dry woody yet a bit salty, almost metallic (maybe this is the wine quality - more bloody imo actually but it kinda makese sense to me) Not picking up much of the fruits or wine though

I have to start by saying that I am a huge fan of Jimmy Bodin's work. For me he is in the Top 5 perfumers in the world at the moment (along with Chris Maurice, Miguel Matos, Cecile Zarokian and Francesca Bianchi) and I am very sorry to have to say that in this case (it had to be the first time ever) the perfume has disappointed me. Of course, I cannot pretend that all of Mr. Bodin's perfumes follow the line of Gourmand bakhoor, african queen or Mád tea party and are super original, different, intense gourmand bombs that last almost forever. But this perfume for me personally falls a little everywhere. It is true that it is not a perfume of suspense, but taking into account the price and, above all, the expectations based on the perfumer's previous works, it makes giving a not perfect note to the fragrance almost almost hurt. But I will try to be as objective as possible and leave out the most subjective questions or those related to the price of the perfume. As for the aroma, I would say that Blame & objurgation seems to me a perfume that is not a perfume. And I don't really know what it smells like. Based on the notes (guava, grapes, black currants...and a base with wine and oud) I expected something more fruity and, above all, more intense and what I found is something very light where you can feel a certain woody touch of oud and something fruity in there... It has a smoky, alcoholic touch... But I wouldn't be able to say that it smells very good... In short, a perfume that, even though it doesn't smell bad, doesn't smell particularly good either since, to me, it really smells rather little. Its intensity is very very low Of course, as a positive aspect I have to say that the duration is good. I can hold on to my skin for about 10 hours, but yes, at all times with a very, very light power. I would like to know if other forum users have had similar experiences or if perhaps I am anosmic to any of the ingredients in the perfume. All I smell is gasoline and burning rubber. Yuck!

.....As I rummage through pages of brain cells looking for the doorstep of comprehension, the germinal layers of this fragrant barbwire stabs the schnozzle in ways the nasal passage has never experienced. Blâme and Objurgation is the poster child of social distancing; a smokey segment of death and a single-player contest that will be met with inconclusive results. Violently courageous, offensively exquisite and purposely improper. There are no varying aromas for comfort. Instead, the trace of smoke is distributed horizontally and lives in the air as a funereal shadow. This is tantamount to a hoax as it is heretic thus making it dangerously close to a turkey. Trashy, gory, gratuitous, ridiculous, completely far fetched, and I had a smile on my face the entire time. Side note: If you enjoy Heretic's Poltergeist, the smokey offerings of Beaufort London or some of the creations from Neo-madcaps Antonio Gardoni and Angelo Orazio Pregoni, then I would recommend this for you.
