Dusk

One of the few noticeable differences lies in the opening: Layton feels a bit more aromatic and sparkling, with a sharper “zing,” while Dusk comes across as slightly more linear from the beginning. That said, the quality here is impressive, especially considering the price you can often find it for at online discounters. Within its category, it offers a level of refinement and presence that exceeds expectations for the cost. To my nose, this falls into that category of “safe” fragrances - easy to wear, broadly appealing, and unlikely to offend. But unlike many mainstream designer options, it doesn’t feel generic or predictable. While popular modern scents often lean into a familiar, somewhat repetitive formula, this one feels more thoughtfully composed, with a more inviting and interesting character. It sits comfortably in that crowd-pleasing space, but with more personality. It keeps the versatility, yet brings a level of sophistication that many mass-market fragrances lack. Among Layton-inspired alternatives, this wasn’t my first experience. Years ago, I also owned Lalique White in Black, which is a high-quality fragrance in its own right. However, it takes a slightly different direction - more woody and powdery, with facets that lean toward a cosmetic, makeup-like scent profile. That aspect never fully worked for me, and although I still have it in my collection, I rarely reach for it. Dusk, on the other hand, avoids that powdery territory altogether. Instead, it focuses on a fresh, subtly sweet profile that feels clean, balanced, and highly wearable - making it a much more enjoyable option for regular use.

It's been a while since I put my nose on Layton, but from what I can recall, this is very, very close. However, I'm also remembering that there's a reason I don't own Layton: I'm not really crazy about the stuff (please don't yell at me!). The opening of this and the OG are, in my completely subjective opinion, the best moments of the fragrance. The apple has a bit of tartness that holds it back from being overly sweet and headache inducing. Once it's begins drying down it's sweet. A bit green, but mostly sweet. And there's something lingering in the back that is just sort of sickly to me and for whatever reason, it just doesn't do it for me. I know what I'm saying is sacrilege and I don't doubt that people really mean it when they say it's the greatest thing since pizza, but I just don't love Layton. I like it: it's different from your typical designer frag and it's versatile, but I wouldn't spend the money on the real thing. Luckily this isn't Layton, but it's nearly identical and mucho cheaper. I hope this review doesn't get me kicked off of fragrantica! Update 6/7/23... Yeah, this is really good. The more I wear it, the more it settles in and I really appreciate it's versatility. In some ways it reminds me a bit of Ambra Calabria from Nishane. That one has way more green and fresh notes in the opening, but there's similarity in the approach of a sweet amber/vanilla with a greenish opening that works for warmer weather equally well was winter. Very good scent and a ridiculously good value. I don't know if there's a point in owning Layton anymore. This is very close and performs better (according to owners of more recent batches) for a fraction of the price. Nobody sees the bottle, but the juice smells nearly the same to almost all.

OH.MY.GOD, this is super close to Layton for fraction of the price!! I got this at discounted price $37, such a steal for the quality juice!! In the opening, this is not as spicy as Layton, but more fresh citrusy. As it is going to the drydown, the minty note that is prominent in the OG is quite laid back in the background / structured differently here. If i need to give precentage, this is 90-95% similar to the OG!! If Layton was a designer fragrance, this is how it smells. Short description on how Layton/Dusk smells like : Opens with fresh spicy citrusy and sweet tone. As it's going down, the fruity-sweet vanilla is blended with lavender and patchouly/minty tone. What really surprised me that how well-blended Dusk is, super smoooooth, not synthetic/screechy as how usually clone perfume smells. I can't say anything to SPL department, i haven't done any fullwear. Will update how's the performance later 24/5/2024 edit: Production/batch code 100523, the performance is on the weak side, 8 sprays only last around 2-3 hours on the skin and 6 hours on the shirt and dont project like at all. I tried to experimenting with overspraying, and safe to say you need 15 sprays on the body and 25+ sprays on the clothes to make this perfume project like a MOFO. But on my experience, fragrance tend to get stronger after a week or so. Gonna be waiting with my fingers crossed!!

I have in front of me a bottle of Layton (not mine, 2021 batch), Detour Noir (Early 2021 batch) and Dusk (05/2023 batch) and after testing them all in the last few days, i can confirm that they are solid alternatives to the original but obviously they both have strengths and weaknesses. So, the clones have differents openings than Layton. Dusk start with a fresh, fruity and uplifting cardamon without that vicks vapour rub vibe of the original, amazing, the best opening of all 3 in my opinion. Detour Noir has no cardamom at all, it's pure sweetness and it has a sour and off putting note in the background, i don't know where exactly that comes from but i don't like it. After 20 minutes or so they both starts to comes extremely close to Layton but dusk is definitely smoother and more accurate than Detour Noir. In the air they smell identical tho. Now, dusk is surely the best alternative in terms of smell but it has a big downside, PERFORMANCES. My batch of Dusk is weak, lasts for 5 hours maximum while my batch of Detour Noir last easily more than 10 hours and projects definitely better! That's a shame because i prefer the overall smell of Dusk but the performances are bad in comparison to Detour Noir, i don't know which one i'm going to keep now :/. The quality price ratio is insane for both, i payed 21€ for Detour Noir and 26€ for Dusk

No one yet made the connection that this smells like a more mature, adult, One Million? Opens very resinous and balsamic, although eucalyptus is not in the notes i can smell it very clearly (it cannot be just the cardamom - EDIT: yep, among the ingredients are Peppermint Oil, Menthol and Eucalyptus Oil. Strange they aren't listed in the notes as they are very prominent!). This balsamic phase dissipates very quickly in 10 to 20 minutes or so, gradually becoming sweeter (of the fruity kind, slightly acidic, may be the green apple). After 40 minutes it finally opens up to a FANTASTIC - sweet but not overly so - dark vanilla, slowly creeping up from under the resins. This vanilla is milky and creamy and woody, with just a little powdery touch. Along with the vanilla, a leather note comes through. From this moment onwards, this really reminds me of One Million, but 100 times more refined, more mature and sensual. This is a complex scent, strangely alluring and addicting: you keep wanting to smell it time and time again. Sure to please everyone around you, but not so much in the opening. Safe blind buy if you can resist the first 10-20 minutes of balsamic note: you'll be handsomely rewarded. Absolutely a cooler months signature. For the 40€ it costs, buy it and you won't regret it. Four to six sprays are enough

Dusk The Woods Collection is a fantastic fragrance that smells like a cheaper version of Layton Parfum de Marly. It has the same vanillic, woodsy and spicy notes, but with less sparkle and fruitiness. It’s like Layton’s older and more serious brother who doesn’t like to party. He prefers to stay home and read books or watch documentaries. He also wears glasses and a sweater vest. It’s not a bad thing, though. Some people might prefer a more mature and refined scent that doesn’t scream for attention. The best thing about this fragrance is the price. It’s a fraction of what Layton costs, but it has the same sillage and performance. It lasts for hours on my skin, and I get compliments from people who think I’m wearing Layton. I don’t correct them, of course. I just smile and say thank you. And then I laugh to myself because I know I’m saving a lot of money. This fragrance is a steal, literally. It steals Layton’s DNA and sells it for less. It’s like a knock-off designer bag that looks almost identical to the real thing. Except it doesn’t fall apart after a few uses. If you’re looking for a great alternative to Layton that won’t break the bank, you should definitely check it out.

I've had a 10ml decant of PDM's Layton and tried several of the clones. But the one that I settled on was Orientica's Royal Bleu Exclisif, however I came to find over time that one was much heavier on the apple and lavender than the original was but I actually think it dresses up a bit better because of that. But it left me wanting something with the same spice and pizzaz the original had the Orientica had smoothened out, then came Dusk by The Woods Collection. I actually prefer this to the original also. It has a much beefier cardamom note and the vanailla accord is thicker here than the original. Both the clones I have performed better than the original in every category outside of projection, but that was pretty limited to the top where the pepper really pushes out in the original. So pretty much the way I see it as this is a creamier, more textured and spicier version of Layton with pumped up cardamom and vanilla that adds a very delectable, spiced, powdery, creaminess that the original lacks. But if that doesn't sound like something you'd go for then I'd steer clear of this one. But I think it is simply amazing for the price and the packaging is top notch.

Update: Got a bottle of Batch 06/25 as a replacement - atomiser is really good on this one, but needs maceration most likely. VERY strong alcohol smell at the beginning, and currently it's spicier, sharper and closer to Layton than the older batch. The longevity is not amazing, it quite quickly turns into a skin scent - on clothes it lasted about a day and is completely gone now. (Spicebomb Extreme as comparison still easily detectable on same piece of clothing) ______ (Batch 09/24 France - original bottle) Absolutely wonderful scent. I'm a big fan of Layton but can't justify the price, and this is a very good alternative. The opening is more cardamom heavy and sweeter than Layton, which is more spicy to my nose. Very similar smelling, but not quite 1:1, I might almost prefer this over Layton (but performance I'll have to see about). It's almost like a blend between Layton and YSL LNDL. Sillage is not super strong, you have to get quite close to the skin to smell it - but then the scent is quite strong. The atomiser I got is absolutely horrific, it barely sprays anything out - so I'll have to figure out what to do regarding it.

I had bought a sample of Layton back in 2020 and loved it from first sniff but hesitated buying it when it was under $200 and now it's up near $400. I came across Dusk in a few review videos but it always seemed to be sold out when I had the cash to burn. Finally snagged myself a bottle. It's like 85-90% similar to the OG, not quite as rich and deep with a little more spice and not as much vanilla, but for the price it's an absolute steal! It does start out with the menthol-like opening but quickly fades away. Ultimately it's a decent interpretation of Layton, though I do wish there was a little more vanilla to it as that was my favorite part of Layton. This stuff is close enough for the price paid and is kind of like a lighter, more fresh/spicy take on it. This stuff projects very modestly and stays for the better part of a day. I saw lots of people complaining about the atomiser on their bottles, but mine is a 2025 batch code and it's actually a pressurized atomiser which sprays like crazy, and the magnetic wood cap is such a nice touch on the beautiful bottle.

My batch is from 05/2023 and after wearing it a while it’s that warm fresh spicy and sweet fragrance everybody loves. I had to mature the fragrance for 2/3 months to get the beast mode projection and longevity. It somewhat reminds me of ysl la nuit bleu electrique but they have a different scent profile l, although they have that cardamom sweetness i enjoy very much. Never smelled Layton though but to be honest I don’t need it. Royal night and bloom are to my nose 95 to 98% the same so I rely on te woods collection that it will be the same with dusk. If I’m feeling to buy Layton sample I’ll update it. It doesn’t surprise me tbh that these fragrances are good quality. The woods collection is a part of extravaganza company. They produce brands like amouage, atkinsons, Lalique, Bentley, nikos and more so I think this line is a personal preference. Btw for the ppl who wants to know when the fragrance is made, first 2 numbers are the year, second 2 the month and third 2 are the day it’s been bottled

i have already smelled layton before and wanted to have it but the price was ridiculous so I started looking for good clones on Layton and found Detour noir, al haramain, royal blue and this was all that I could find and every youtube was yapping about them until I found dusk on some videos and it was comparing dusk to the best layton clones. Needless to say when I looked at dusk I fell in love with the bottle its so gorgeous and I was like damn this MUST be good but then again never go for the beauty... i got it a week ago BOOOM its layton for 60 dollars and I am soo happy I found this and trusted my guts, the only difference is the opening where layton is more intense with the cardemum smell but after 15min they are the same perfume and shockingly Dusk last like 18h on my clothes and 6h on skin clone factor- 9.7/10 price- 10/10 longetivity- 9,5/10 safe blind buy if you like Layton

Dusk is a fantastic scent. I've never smelled Layton but got this one after seeing some comparisons to Boss Bottled Absolu which is a favorite. They are indeed similar, but Dusk is dialed back in pungency and potency and makes for a more-office friendly take on this scent profile. This opens with a wonderfully well-blended mix of lavender, vanilla, gentle peppery spice, and some lightly sweet fruit and floral notes. The wood notes really emerge in the dry down where the sweet vanilla also holds strong. The entirety of the experience also has a bit of a balsamic edge that lends a subtle exotic touch. The price point is super reasonable but nothing about this scent smells budget. It has admirable longevity but isn't a big projector, so it's great for more intimate settings. This is a modern masculine scent but one with refinement and class and I absolutely love it.

I have a decant of Layton and Dusk maturating for 5 weeks now. Longevity and note nuance do improve with maturation/age. After the 5 weeks of aging, I get 8 hours on skin and 12+ hours on clothes. Great dupe, approximately 95% of Layton. Oil and blend quality "after 5 weeks" is close to OG, but the OG is a tiny bit better. The opening is not as sharp with Dusk, which I prefer. Dusk cost me $55 at Jomoshop, including shipping and tax. PDM Layton 125ml bottle is $354 including shipping and tax. Based on the price difference, Dusk is a great deal. The sprayer is absulute crap. Unless you are looking for light targeted distribution. Could always make up a decant I suppose. Comes with a empty decant, have not attempted that though. I took Dusk to work 2 weeks ago to let co-workers try it, several purchased a bottle while still in my office. Highly recommend.

Just got this and my goodness it is nice. I have never tried Layton but wanted to try a good version of it and this usually gets the nod. Warm, spicy cardamom, woody, apple vanilla goodness. In the same wheelhouse as Le Male Le Parfum, and while I prefer LMLP, this is much more wearable and versatile for everyday wear. Sweet, but not overly so. A bit fresh. I get it now. Have worn it for 3 days straight despite the warm weather and buying 2 other fragrances along with it. The bottle is gorgeous. Love the magnetic cap and packaging. First rate... Except for that absolutely awful atomizer. It was just sputtering droplets the first time I tried it. Contemplated sending it back. But it's spraying a light mist now that is just adequate. Still needs a 1 or 2 pump priming before it sprays.

I have never smelled Layton, but all I can say is that Dusk smells amazing. It is a cardamom bomb with a vanilla and woody scent, with a little fruitiness at the top. In my opinion, there is way too much cardamom in the opening, but within 30 minutes, it settles down well. Smells amazing in the air. The bottle presentation looks very nice for the price, but the bottle I got came dirty with scratch marks. Other than those complaints, I think that it is amazing for the cost (I got mine for $40, probably not worth more than $60). 8.5/10 Update: Honestly, I hate the cardamon. The batch I got has an insane amount. It's honestly nauseating. The opening is pure cardamon, and it's a bit much. Dry down is still amazing, but they definitely need to use less cardamon.

Blind buy an toàn cho người mới, vì khá nịnh mũi những người xung quanh và các nhà thẩm hương dễ tính. Đa phần nhận xét đây là bản clone xịn của Layton PdM, mình Layton nên chưa dám nhận xét khoản này.

The best clone I own. I fucking love Layton. Legitimately three for life. I actually bought this first, and enjoyed it enough to sample and then buy Layton. This walks the line between being a replica and a twist quite well, and I still find myself reaching for it fairly frequently even owning the authentic. If you have the funds, I'd still definitely consider buying Layton itself. However, buying Dusk gets you better quality and scent than 99% of designers on the market for like $50. I might even recommend for those who own Layton to buy Dusk as well, since I feel much less guilty spraying something that costs 1/4 the price. One of two 10/10 clones in my collection when considering value. Not taking value into account, probably 9.25/10

Very similar to Detour Noir and more expensive, but still considerably cheaper than the PDM Layton it's it's inspired by. Mine has a broken/spurty atomiser top, making me think the entire batch has faulty, imperfect atomisers. Comes with 5ml travel spray so might have to decant into that - which is annoying. This one smells a shade more refined and expensive than detour noir. Both very similar, but this one is definitely a bit more citrus and lavender foreward, but it's still basically the same scent. It's very similar and if you want cheaper, no question buy Detour noir which can be had insanely cheaply for what you get. If you're happy to spend £40-45 - this is better - but not sure it's double the price of detour noir better.

Marly Layton - 99% dupe. Wow, I have Dusk and I have Layton. I am wearing Dusk on the back of my right hand, Layton on the back of my left hand. They are identical. I asked my wife & daughter (college age), they both love the scent and they said that both of hands smell absolutely identical. I agree. Creamy vanilla heathery blue signature Layton! I will say that at the very top of the top note, I got a little more juiciness out of Layton but that lasted like 5 minutes, and they become identical through the mid and dry down. 10 out of 10! Revised 8 out of 10. Quick Update - After 3 hours the Dusk hand frag was 90% gone, Marly hand was remaining strong with fragrance so there is definitely a difference in longevity with Dusk.

I am not a fan of Layton but I do get why people are referrencing it (there is a limited number of major notes combinations after all). Dusk does its own thing though, veering off the path a bit. I really like the smoothness and creaminess with some whiffs from pepper here and there giving it some nice edge. Lasts 12hrs or more on my skin and project enormously first hours, and within 5-6 feet afterwards for 3-4hrs before calming to a bubble within 1-2 feet. I have paid ca.40usd which I think was a ver good price. I almost never compliment the packaging but this is really quality. The box comes with a traveller's spray which is quite nice touch and the bottle with the magnetic cap make it all feel like a premium product.

Not only does Dusk smell exactly like Layton but it even outperforms it too. This is something I absolutely did not expect coming from The Woods Collection but it has turned me into a fan. Now owning both Dusk and Detour Noir I can say they both smell as close to Layton however Dusk has a significantly smoother opening and doesn't contain that menthol opening that Detour Noir has. Again, they both smell the same in the dry-down only difference is the opening. Being that there is only around a $10 price difference I would choose Dusk over Detour Noir for the opening and the bottle which I like more. If you don't care about the short menthol opening or the bottle get Detour Noir.

Amazing! I am so glad I trusted the reviews because this was love at first sniff. I kept trying to love Layton, but I didn't care for the opening with the mint/menthol smell (a Neiman Marcus worker told me "that's how some people smell apple" LOL). As many have stated, Dusk does not have that note, which IMO is a huge improvement. Otherwise, it does share a very strong similarity to Layton. The juice is strong, lasts a good while, and the presentation is excellent. I wore it to a Fall tailgate at MSU and received compliments. It's slightly more than some of the Middle East clone house offerings (FW, MA, Lattafa, etc.) but definitely worth $40 at Jomashop. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Really nice bottle, the presentation is on point. From the box to the magnetic wood cap, they do it really well. Opens up with cardamom and apple with a little bit of pepper and lavender. It doesn't smell identical to Layton in the opening but I am actually appreciative of that. As it dries down it starts to get creamier and sweeter and then more powdery than Layton. It smells like a fresher more powdery Layton. Obviously neither of them are overly unique nor are they super complex, but they smell good and I'm sure thats more than most people around you. I like this but if you want a super close copy to Layton, you can always go with the cult classic Detour Noir.

Not as loud as Layton. Softer than OG, but more rounded, balanced. It's like Layton, but it's not Layton.It does not has that aquatic, mineral note on dry down and i miss that a lot. The original has more crispness mixed with sharp notes, while Dusk is a toned down, much better balanced spicy side of Layton with much less crispness. It's a very good, more mature version of Layton, but it's not the same Layton. DNA similarity 80% no more no less. Very high quality, no alcoholic smell or something cheap. when Dusk, which is almost as good as the original at a price of 50eur, it just doesn't make sense to even think about buying Layton for 4x the price.

Absolutely beautiful scent profile! I wasn't a huge fan of Layton because of the vanilla menthol opening which really turned me off to the fragrance because I like a fragrance to smell great the entire way through. This is what everyone describes Layton being. There's no menthol opening here and instead what you get is a spiced apple, boozy vanilla, and woody accord that smells amazing! It's incredibly opulent, sexy, and a scent profile that reels people in. You even get beautiful presentation, bottle design and magnetic cap with a solid atomizer for the price of $40 I think this fragrance is a steal. It smells like $200 easily. 9.3/10 for me!

You need to wear this a few times. This is an incredible creation. When I first tried this I was initially disappointed by the airy lavender feel and flat vanilla. After 2 hours it smelled a bit better. After a month, Dusk is beautiful. I've worn it almost 10x and now get lavender, licorice and vanilla with fruity notes. This a great fragrance for most occasions. I live in a cool weather country and this is going to be used in all seasons except summer. Comparing this to other fragrances I have, it smells like Trussardi Riflesso on top of Lalique White in Black. I love it more than either of those. A beautiful fragrance!

I just got this today and after wearing it in the evening, I notice a menthol note quite strong in the opening, it fades away quickly too. This encapsulates the Layton profile scent nicely for sure but longevity is not quite there. I also had a bottle of detour which from memory I remember it being a bit stronger than dusk, but honestly I can’t get over that ugly bottle from detour... If you really like Layton, you will like this too there’s no doubt. I would also say that if you have this, then it’s enough. However, I heard this gets better with maceration, so I might come back to this review in the future.

Cardamom bomb similar to le male le parfum but with some hint vanilla, lavender and woody notes, a bit playful but also manly at the same time, i'd never try the OG (PDM Layton) but surely this is mass pleasing and not synthetic at all, also a far from disturbing anyone noses. Longevity and projection is very good for the price 6-7 hour on skin maybe longer on clothes/outer, highly recommended for blind buy if you want to try as your first fragrance for men. I don't know this fragrance are safe for sport or not, but i'm not gonna recommend it, overall rate? Easily 10/10 definitely my top 5 fragrance ✨

I got a bottle. Presentation great. First spray ... I was smashed by cardamon (and only cardamon) so much I considered to return the perfume. Next day trial ... cardamon gone. Probably decantation issue. Now on ... what a lovelly smell. Sure it's same DNA as PdM Layton but done more coazy ... Opening cardamon and apple ... then gets very smooth, warm, inviting, round. Feels like to sit in deep chair in very comfortable clothes. Performance ... on the skin 5-6h. On the clothes 8h. Not as beast mode as Detour Noir. Less synthetic, higher quality, better blended. One of the best replacements for Layton.

Very similar to Layton. More of a sparkling effervescent opening, some might say 'sharper' but I would say sparkling and beautiful, no menthol, more uplifting, less of the warm hug. Extremely close to the Layton smoky ish vanilla dry down, but Layton overall has softer sweeter vanilla and a warmer deeper comforting smell and is better overall. 6 hour longevity, lovely, projection can be room filling early on, wife not happy when I overspray this one... Great quality packaging, not cheap here in Australia $125.00. I will keep both in my collection (Layton and Dusk) and replenish when necessary.

I blind bought this and I don't regret it at all. It smells about 95% similar to Layton, except Layton is a bit fresher and has that minty opening. I got around 6 hours of longevity, with surprisingly strong projection for the first hour or two. It weakens after that, but still projects well. It becomes a skin scent after the 6-hour mark. One thing I noticed, though, is that the atomizer on the travel spray bottle you get in the box is better than the one on the perfume bottle. I'd give this one a 9/10 rating. Scent-wise it's a 10/10 for me but it has room for improvements for sure!

I sprayed both Dusk and Layton on my forearm about 5” from each other after a minute or so I could not pick up any differences, I made my wife smell it and she couldn’t tell them apart either. The big surprise was that after about 6 hours ,Dusk smell was significantly stronger than Layton at that point, dusk started to lean more Woody and more mature while Layton was leaning clearly towards a softer vanilla. Overall I think Dusk it’s a fantastic alternative with an outstanding quality for the price. Layton still comes across as more refined, but Dusk is louder and longer lasting.

I have never smelled Layton or otherwise I'm sure I would have had the same "Yep, that's Layton-ish" reaction as everyone else. The top is a citrus/floral that I was expecting from the description. Then it felt like the polarity of the whole fragrance switched. I just spent an hour trying to figure out what this dry down smells like, because I have this exact scent burned into my memory. It's Red Tobacco's dry down without the ubiquitous tobacco note lurking in the background. Looking at the Layton "reminds me of" section indicates that some people also make that connection.

It's a nice scent. Very likable. The notes listed are spot on. I had a 5ml sample of Layton about 3 years ago and barely remember it so it wouldn't be fair for me to compare them. I'll wear it for the entire week to get a better feel for it. The atomizer is just terrible. You need to spray 20 times each application. 5 day update: I transferred it to a bottle with a much better atomizer. Projection is so-so but it does last as a skin scent for quite a while. I wish it was stronger. I will most definitely have to over spray to match the strength of my other scents.

I'm not even kidding this smells to my nose 1 to 1 like laytons dry down.... I have tested layton many times i specifically tested the opening and the dry down and this doesnt completely get rid of the mentholated opening but it tones it down alottt. So its not as harsh. One of the best blind buys ive ever done. No the atomizer wasn't broken but the part connected to the atomizer did come off so they gave me a refund but I get to keep the bottle and everything else works great. It smells fantastic its in my top 10.... no need for layton with this.

I just bought this and put it on as soon as it arrived. Great presentation and nice, magnetic wood cap. Very nice for an budget-friendly cologne. The scent is Amazing! I have Layton and I actually think this opening is better. It settles down to a creamy vanilla that is very rich and not synthetic smelling at all. My only complaint is that it doesn't project much. However, it does last a pretty long time (6+ hours) as a skin scent. Definitely worth the price and a really safe blind buy.

Great smelling fragrance,better to me then the rest if the layton dupes... Last long 6-8 h. Bottle beautifull... Atomizer the worst one I have ever seen/had... I even contacted the company if they can send me a new atomizer they said it would cost around 240 euros! I paid 40 euros for the fragrance! So naturally i said thx but no thx... Really if you want to be a great fragrance company don't put cheap atomizers! Look at arabyat prestige atomizers!

Best Layton clone in my opinion. Also have Detour Noir and I prefer this one. Smells almost 1/1 with slight changes in the spice ( I find this slightly spicier and don’t find the apple note as prominent) For the price it’s unreal and I really have no complaints except to the menthol-like smell at the beginning, which fades very quickly and doesn’t even smell that “bad”. I would say this is blind buy safe, and very mass appealing

I bought this one bc I am a fan of PDM Layton. To compare, Layton is more citrusy in the beginning, like a little blast of citrus come and gone real fast, fresh and interested. Dusk doesn't have this vibe, but when it dry down both are same. The performance is good too but Layton has longer lasting on my skin. For the price, Dusk is really great choice and the best clone of Layton so far, no complain.

Wow. Very good. Bought this off Facebook for €60 in a bundle with Supremacy Not Only Intense. I also have Al Haramain Detour Noir, and Dusk is way better. It's smoother, richer, rounder, not as sharp. The bottle is leagues above the abomination that is Detour Noir (which isn't that important, but still). If you want get a clone of Layton, and you want the best quality, get this, it's worth the price

Quite a bright, sweet apple & lavender in the beginning with cardamom, vanilla & woods following. I really like the lifespan of this and how it changes over it's pretty good longevity. 8-10hrs on my skin. Atomiser is poor as others have mentioned but packaging was smart, magnetic cap is above average and free travel spray was a nice touch although I haven't used it.

I write on it exactly what I think of layton, because they are the same for me. dusk is perfect for dates and going out - your date will really want to come closer to smell you. I recommend spraying between 8 - 12 to get compliments Scent:10 Projection/Longevity:7 Uniqueness:8 quality:9 Value for money:great Overall:8.5 similarity to the original: 95%

I have a decant just to find out about the scent since I have a full bottle of PDM Layton. Agree that PDM Layton has a fresh opening and after that, the smell is the same. Performance wise is also on par with PDM Layton. If you want a backup for Layton, I would really recommend to have this one for almost 1/3 price (at least in my country)

Mine's been macerating for a couple of months, and it smells like a sweeter version of layton. Not too sweet but just right. The longevity is a lot worse than layton, so it rushes past the menthol opening and gets good pretty soon. I would recommend a blind buy if you're ok with poor-performingng scent that smells really good. 9/10

The performance was all over the place at first, but two months in I get more than 8 hours consistently. A fantastic spicy sweet combination that gives you absolutely everything you need and for less than 40 euros - versatile enough for dates, work or any casual wear and wearable in pretty much any weather aside from summer.

No brand can make clones as good as the woods collection. Everything the put their hands on is great and dusk is a main reason for that. Smells almost identical to Layton and last longer on my skin. The only difference is at the opening because Layton opens up more crisp and fresh, after that they are basically the same

Update: my dusk bottle is finished and i bought Layton. Actually the dusk SPL is on par with layton (i guess layton is watered down than before). The difference is on the opening, but wait 5 minute and they are the same. And the base in layton is PdM like, clean and neat, but i just nitpicking. Worthy to replace Layton

This is a very smooth inspiration of PDM Layton, just not very strong in terms of projection and longevity. Still, that being said, the quality and smoothness of the scent is shocking for the price (roughly $50 online), and if you're a fan of the Layton DNA, then this is a great fragrance to fill that spot. 9.1/10 imo

Basically this is great for a cheap niche perfume. 12/13 of my fragrance friends thought that I was using the original Layton. I compared head to head with layton and was quite surprised only the opening is different, the rest is 95% similar. Of course the performance dusk (8+ hours, 5x spray) is better than layton.
