Amber Classico Modern

Amber Classico Modern is such an airy unusual amber fragrance that can absolutely be worn year-round. Don’t pass this one by because you think you have enough ambers in your collection. It paves its own path and deserves its groupies!

It's interesting some people say this smells dry. To me this is almost like a cream soda!

Surprising. A very robust amber (but without the classic nauseating liquor aspect) on the top notes, followed by a both sticky (cistus) and "plastic flower" one in the wake. It almost gives me an impression of licorice (which quickly disappears), a bit floral. Coupled with the benzoin and the balmy amber side of it, the panorama is rather endearing (a sort of half-religious, half-artificial still life, in shades of brown/pink, which I'm not really used to encounter). This isn't the first time I've encountered this "plastic" note with Laudamiel (it also exists in Club Design), but it's interesting because quite different from the often negative one found in the mainstream market. It's not a scent I could wear (I hate patchouli, and it's also rather sweet/strong in the sillage), but it could clearly find takers.

Kind of a dry scratchy (mothball-like) scent, don't know what "orchid" it's supposed to be nor the target audience..

It's a musky, powdery take on amber. Absolutely unique and different than your usual sweet vanillic amber. Will get a full bottle soon!
