No Perfume

I didn't think I'd ever get over how smoky this was, but after revisiting this frag a few times, now I'm REALLY bummed out that this "perfume" (eh?) is no longer available. Opens obscenely smoky, so slightly woody, but still trampled by the overwhelming smoke, but it's not one with an aromatic "floating" (not clearly defined) edge like you'd find Cuoium by Orto Parisi, this smoke here is like a smoke you'd find from a tire...and the leather that props up, smells like a LITERAL offgassing tire (with a smoky, singed bias). The smoke dominates the leather aspect just a bit, but other than that, this is the drydown. I've come to like the smoke with the leather here, but as far as I'm concerned, a lot of The Zoo fragrances are becoming harder to find in general. Christophe Laudamiel should really consider making his line available again, where Rich Mess is probably only among the few frags that I would end up hoarding due to the scarcity of his work. The smoke here is like the conjugate of Fumee by Alkemia Perfumes, and it's truly a bummer I can't get a FB of this bad boy. Though I will say the smokiness is probably more pronounced in Cuoium by just a bit than this frag, here, it's a burning black, tire-like smoke that is pretty easy to get nose fatigue from. Almost spot on, though a bit on the smokier side, the literal embodiment of an off-gassing race tire.

Whether you love it or you hate it, I think it’d be hard to write a detailed review of this in either opinion without pointing out how Laudamiel kinda nailed the concept.

تاریک،جدی و خشن بدون هیچ روشنایی و امید شروعی سنگین از روایح دودی که با چرم و چوب میکس شده .چرم در ابتدا بسیار پرداخت نشده و اسموکی هست و بعد از گذشت یک ساعت آرام تر میشه و با چوب همنشین میشه تا حس و حال نرم تری ازش دریافت بشه. در مجموع با عطری چرمی و دودی طرف هستیم که میکس هنرمندانه ای داره ولی بسیار سخت پوشه. یک باتل ازش تا آخر عمر کفاف میده :) ******************************** scent:8/10 longevity:9.5/10 sillage:9/10 purchase value:3/10 ******* overall:7.3/10

An absolute BEAST! I get heavily smoked oud. Pungent at first, takes a long time to be tolerated- nice, but far too strong to wear to work or anywhere you’re close to people.

A misnomer: there is plenty of perfume here, but there is no reason why I would wear this unless I wanted to smell like an oil refinery.
