Rhubarb My Love

The initial spray is strong. It’s so familiar. Oh yes that time I went hiking and that lingering smell from the overgrown forest after the rain. This wild green smell. It pulls me in. I would definitely go off trail to find where this stuff is coming from. It is like when you prune tomatoes and that aromatic sticky green tomato tar that covers your hands or gloves. It fills the air. Some people could hate it but I love it. I have Hermes Rhubarb which was accurate to the part you eat but so so short lived. This is so accurate to the actual plant as it sits alive in a thick patch creating a thick atmospheric bubble. And I don’t think it is going anywhere. This will transform my home into that rhubarb patch. Definitely a rebuy.

Pure tart rhubarb on steroids. It's extremely long lasting. I can smell this strongly for several hours when sprayed in my hair/neck. It's almost too much sometimes. Compare that to Hermès Eau de Rhubarbe Écarlate which lasts barely 20 minutes on my skin ... shameful. Hermès should do better than that. I got a big bottle of Rhubarb My Love at a good price in NYC and this is an excellent Summer fragrance for rhubarb lovers. If you like rhubarb try this one.

Super intense. I wouldn't wear this out of the house because it isn't fruity, sweet, lovable but it is really interesting. An experience.

34th This starts out with a metallic rhubarb note. Then the metallic note calms down and perhaps fades. At last, it's a perfectly fine straightforward rhubarb scent. I have another scent that I like better for rhubarb, but this is okay(other than that metallic note). 7/10
