Almond Tart (Exclusive For Luckyscent)

So you’re crafting an almond tart and blind bake a buttery shell that is made primarily of almond flour and butter. Next you coat the shell with a thin layer of Valrhona or Callebaut chocolate to ensure your shell doesn’t get soggy. Finally, you fill the covered shell with frangipane and top with thinly sliced almonds. Pop that in the oven and what comes out is this gorgeous, delicious perfume. So wearable, so comforting. I don’t own a single cherry perfume to compare this with, but I don’t get cherries at all. It’s a love for me and for my husband and one of the best chocolate notes out there.

Oof spectacular. The butter will smack your olfactory instantly making you think there’s fresh popcorn in the microwave, no worries it will settle. The almond scent is lightly cherry leaning but overall not too sweet. Imagine having an indulgent breakfast consisting of an almond croissant and a cherry danish, chef’s kiss. If you generally like almond gourmand fragrances, you’ll enjoy this.

Great gourmand almond scent. Slightly cherry, but not syrupy. Very pastry-like; a true almond nutty fragrance. It is like they captured almond extract in a scent. Great sillage and longevity, but not cloying. A definite 10/10 Full bottle worthy and affordable so I bought the FB.

Mine just arrived, and I tested it using the little blotter sample I also asked for Vs spraying the bottle in case I didn’t love it. To me, it is that type of almond that comes across as cherry - and it strongly reminds me of boadicea the victorious bodacious AND Tom ford post cherry - it’s somewhere in the middle. It’s richer than TF but not as dense and not woody like the boadicea the victorious can be. As it dries down, I think I can feel more of the tart part - maybe the butter, but never quite like a crust or bakery type of vibe that I expected. I’m hoping that changes once I spray from the bottle and after it sits after being shaken up in transit, but it’s a solid fragrance for the price!

For those of us leery of too much almond, this is a nice option. I don't smell cherry at all. To me it is a vanilla-rose-sugary almond dessert. It is soft and smooth, delicate. A great perfume.

Butter and sweet marzipan. Truly gourmand. The almond does 'mature' as it dries down, more like cherry liquor.

I agree that this is a Lost Cherry wannabe. It's OK, but the cherry in LC is simply intoxicating to me and I've never smelled a very close match. This is my 2nd wearing of Almond Tart, and I'm still not getting any almond. It's 90% cherry and 10% chocolate on the drydown for me. A nice scent but seems totally different than the listed notes?! 🤔

A little too strong on the cherry facet imo- I was hoping for something a bit softer and more blended, this is more like Zara Cherry Smoothie with a dusting of vanilla sugar.

Yay, yet another Kalotinis drop and a butter 🧈 note?🤤 Sample ordered! Will update EDIT: Sample arrived yesterday! Very buttery, sweet and a bit cherry because of the way the almond translates here. Kinda reminds me of a wayy more buttery Pistache. I will say if you hated the buttered popcorn effect in SDJ 71 this is that amped up even more.

Sugary cherried almond at the start, with a hint of cocoa in the background. As it dries down, the cocoa comes through a little stronger, kinda similar to Velvet Chocolate, and then it fades to a cherry scent upon final dry down. Projection is very minimal.

I just received my bottle from Luckyscent, I am disappointed in this one, it's a Lost Cherry dupe, the almond note only comes on initial spray. IN the future I will order a sample along with the fragrance so that was I can return it if I don't want it.

Smells like an almond tart lightly drizzled with chocolate. On my skin, the chocolate and cocoa notes are quite dominant. I do like it, don’t get me wrong, but the almond feels very faint and definitely not the star of the show.

I bought a decant of this off the back of a Sniff With Steph review where she said it smelled exactly like almond and pastry. It doesn't smell of any of those things and is yet another dupe of Lost Cherry. What a shame.

Synthetic gourmand with an almond note but falls into cheap flavored coffee territory for me. The one plus side is that it smells like cookies after several hours.

Smells boozy, like a chocolate almond liquor. Very good. This fragrance has outstanding performance, especially for the price, great quality as well.

I wanted an almond dessert and got the lost cherry flanker I never asked for.
