Cotton Candy

MmMmmMMMM, so delicious. Theodoros Kalotinis is great with producing natural smelling gourmands, and this one is no different. Cotton Candy feels like Theodoros's take on Escapade Gourmande and/or Bianco Latte, but a more natural combo of the 2. The scent starts off sweet, warm, and caramel-y, and as it dries down, it turns more into fluffy, caramelized, spun sugar. It has more burnt caramel notes than Escapade Gourmande, but it removes a lot of the heaviness and play-dohy notes from Bianco Latte (kinda like how it gets after you let BL macerate). For me, Bianco Latte is heavy and dense, like sweetened condensed milk, and it has nuclear sillage & lasting power. Escapade Gourmande is on the other side of the spectrum. It is more ethereal, like a warm, gentle breeze of scent, with soft sillage and mediocre lasting power. Cotton Candy would be right in the middle of the 2 -- tangible enough to touch, but not thick enough to grab. Like real cotton candy. And the overall scent is more of cotton candy being made in the air, as opposed to how it tastes. Performance-wise, this is also right in the middle of BL & EG. It has great sillage and above-avg lasting power. The weird thing is that it feels like it starts off really soft, and then it gradually gets louder in the first 30 min. But it never gets to the point where it feels like it's too loud / will choke you out. Overall, I'm glad I got this, even tho it is very similar to EG and BL. If I had the same scent-knowledge and none of the bottles, I would probably just get CC and BL. I love EG, but the performance doesn't justify the price, and CC does it better. If you love gourmands, you'll def love this!

I want to love cotton candy perfumes, I really do. I adore vanilla and gourmands, but most cotton candy scents lean sharp and artificial on me, more "perfume" than treat, and they often leave me with a headache. (Case in point, my most trusted perfume friend recommended Moonlight Whispers from Zara. Smelled great... instant headache. Oof.) So I tend to avoid anything marketed as a straight cotton candy scent. But then I found myself in the UNI/VERE parfumerie in Paris, recovering from an emotional moment. I'd just tried their Musk collab with Theodoros K, and burst into big elephant tears because it smelled exactly like my grandma's soap back in West Virginia (man, musk is everywhere!). I needed to compose myself, fast. So I grabbed this one and sprayed it straight onto skin, half-expecting it to be a harsh distraction. I was not expecting it to be this good. This is cotton candy, yes, but richer, deeper, and way more grown-up than the usual sugar-shock fare. It’s got a warm, earthy vanilla base that to my nose has tonka bean, even though it’s not listed. There’s caramel in the mix too, giving it this lush, almost toasted sweetness. No sharp edges, no sparkle, just round, mellow deliciousness. If you usually find cotton candy scents too shrill or synthetic, this one might change your mind. She’s smooth, warm, and surprisingly comforting. But if your collection is already stocked with caramel-vanilla or cotton candy-heavy perfumes, and you're not looking to collect, you might be fine to skip it.

I don’t know if “caramel cutting candy” is a real thing, but if it is, this is exactly what it smells like. The opening is... honestly unpleasant. Burnt, chemical. A little “did I make a mistake?” energy. I was genuinely worried for the first few minutes. But then it settles fast, and what’s left is a delightful little confectionary gem. Warm, sugary, golden, and edible in the best way. You do, however, have to be 1000% a sugary-sweet, full-on gourmand girlie to love this. There is zero restraint here. This is dessert.

Gourmand girl’s dream! The opening is a blast of cotton candy, very realistic. After wearing it for a few minutes it drys down morphs to a beautiful sweet vanilla. The notes with lasting power remind me of Escapade Gourmand & Bianco Latte. If you love cotton candy and vanilla this a a great fragrance to add to the collection!

I have been searching for a realistic cotton candy for years. Everything either missed the mark, or smelled like synthetic body spray for kids. Finally found it! This is a love for me.
