Creme Brûlée

Wow, this is one of the best gourmands I have tried and the best 2024 release so far. I know I have raved about Jousset creations, particularly Crème De La Berry and Le Gourmand. But Crème Brulee is completely next level! It has a few aspect combined that are making it pretty perfect: absolutely amazing longevity and sillage, super delicious gourmand scent and no unnecessary weird notes. What does it smell like? Perhaps creme brulee, but to be honest, not particularly. But I've never had a coconut creme brulee and also creme brulee is not my favourite desert. What about coconut? Sometimes I dislike this note in some tropical of coconut+vanilla perfumes, I do only like it if is a nice creamy or toasted coconut (like the one in Coco Cabana by Sol De Janeiro, Leisure In Paradise by Simone Andreoli or Buontalenti by Profumum Di Firenze). However, this creation by Kalotinis hold me completely captive. What does it smell like? Like some dilicious sugary coconut cookie, toasted to perfection. And at the same time I'm getting that laconic creaming and caramelised sugar, while vanilla is at the hear of this beauty. When I first tried a couple of sprays, initially I though that is smells a bit artificial. But truth to be told, it isn't overly artificial or synthetic that much, rather it is like that only for as much as it is strictly required to achieve that superb performance which probability would not be possible if it was all natural. And even deserts, with a touch of flavourings they can turn into something amazing, rather than when one would use just plain milk and sugar. Overall reminds me of a lot of other perfumes which attempted to go that way but only mamaged to reah half way. Compared to other gourmands, Crème Brulee is like 3D vs 2D. Amazing vanillas like Accident A La Vanille by Jousset, Van Exstazy by Lorenzo Pazzaglia, Vanille Absolu by Montale, Vanextasy by Maison Tahite, Profumum Roma creations and many other simply pale in comparison. This is a must try for any gourmand lover, period.

Ranked comparison of some newer/popular niche vanilla gourmands, in case anybody is deciding between them or already has any of them. Listen, Bianco Latte is still that girl, I'm sorry. 1. Bianco Latte ($150/100ml)- similar drydown to CB but the opening of CB has coconut, BL has coumarin. BL is much sweeter. Similar to CB, it's fluffy while having great performance. Worth the hype. If you love vanilla gourmands then get both but otherwise I would just choose one (and that one should be BL). 10/10 2. TK Creme Brulee ($165/50ml) - I like this, am so glad I tested in store because I was on the fence. A non-tropical, non-floral coconut vanilla! The opening "butteriness" that people report is not so off-putting. The coconut tempers the sweetness at first, but it does sweeten up as it dries down. Light, airy, unisex-femme, great performance, can wear in summer. I can see this being the next viral gourmand. Layers well with (and redolent of) the new BBW Whipped Coconut Milkshake body cream. If creme brulee tastes like this smells, I might ditch veganism. 7/10 3. Escapade Gourmande ($215/100ml) - heavier, spicier and deeper than CB/BL. I like it but it isn't as special. Even though EG and BL both have a little spice, I feel like the spice in BL is smoother; that sharper spice is what makes this lean more unisex IMO. It also isn't as fluffy as BL. Performance OK. Unisex-femme. Not redundant to buy CB if you have this. 7/10 4. Amore Caffe Mancera ($105/60ml, $180/120ml) - deeper and heavy on the coffee. I went to decide between this and CB and chose CB in person. The coffee makes this unisex along with that specific kind of heavy/metallic Mancera vanilla undertone. You can definitely own CB (or BL for that matter) if you have this; they are different. 6/10 I hope this is helpful. These are all available on luckyscent/twisted lily. I worn Crème Brûlée today. The opinions about it are polarised regarding the most prominent note in the opening. Meanwhile some can feel the vanilla custard dessert since the beginning, for me, at first spray is the coconut the star of the show, and to be more precise, a vanilla cookie with toasted coconut flakes. The smell has nothing synthetic or artificial (not sunscreen type). It’s actually a warm, freshly just made coconut cookie. Can you imagine it? So, exactly this. The vanilla custard comes 5 or 10 minutes later, and it mixes with the coconut cookie, still very present but melted in a delicious crème brûlée with burnt sugar on top. Yes, a new dessert, coconut custard. It’s sweet, yes, but not overly sweet, and for me it’s perfectly wearable all year around, althought it'll be in autumn and winter when will wrap you in a warm and comforting sweet bubble. In sspring and summer (except too hot days!) it’ll also shine, with this tropical coconuty vacays vibe. I can imagine also as a bedtime fragrance, because despite being strong, it’s not overwhelming and it will lead you to a heavenly, delightful, sweet dreams. Gourmand lovers, Kalotinis made it again, we have here something photo realistic and captivating, with good longevity and sillage. I don’t typically layer perfumes, but for those who enjoy it, I can see Crème Brûlée as a perfect complement for other perfumes from the house! I worn it with Lemon Tart and👌🏻It’s unisex, leaning feminine in my opinion. Disclaimer 1: some complaint about the price point. Guys, the "more affordable” TK perfumes are too affordable, be grateful and enjoy the Golden Secret collection with its fair price too. Disclaimer 2: nothing to do with other perfumes it has been compared with... it’s unique and unlike anything I smelt before.

Just received a 10ml sample from Parfum Exquis and I am IN LOVE! At first I thought it was extremely similar to Escapade Gourmand, and not smelling much coconut, but after comparing the two this is not only different but in my opinion better. And once I smelled Escapade, as well as Bianco Latte to compare when I came back to Creme Brulee the coconut is very present! It truly is a warm, toasted coconut flakes scent. The burnt sugar is present, but as it’s drying down on my skin it’s such a delicious toasted coconut smell. I purchased this as a summer scent but will admit that as of right now it seems a bit sweet and heavy perhaps for a hot summer day but I’ll update as I intend to pair it with a summer solar/floral scent to get more of a tropical feel out of the coconut. Overall extremely happy as a gourmand lover and would absolutely buy a full bottle!

coconut + caramel + melted vanilla ice cream. 🍨 🥥 truly the most delicious perfume i own! for the longest time i have been searching for a true gourmand coconut perfume. a lot of coconut perfumes i have tried are either sunscreeny (which i still adore) or very synthetic. this fragrance smells like toasted coconuts on top of a vanilla ice cream with caramel drizzle. it is an instant love for me. i own both creme brulee and bianco latte, and i agree that this fragrance is heavy on the coconut and caramel. although the coconut is still present throughout the wear, it is stronger and almost juicier (?) in the opening, and it is truly gorgeous. i wish the opening lingered for longer! i regret not trying coco cabana so much, and i’m so glad to find a similar (and hopefully stronger) fragrance!

This is a gourmand lovers crack, it’s amazing! The opening is sweet creamy and nutty, the dry down is warm and custardy, definitely smell the burnt sugar, I usually find coconut notes come with a slight plasticy undertone though which this definitely does although I don’t mind it, I find it quite nostalgic for whatever reason 🤔 I get some Bianco latte and coco cabana by sdj dna, both are loves for me! It lasts great on my skin and clothes and has pretty okay projection... shame it’s so expensive, it’s like x3 the price of this brands regular fragrances... I feel it’s worth it though! Not a safe blind buy but a must try if you love gourmands!

At the start It is like a butter explosion. After 1 minute, this feeling of excessive fat goes away and it becomes like buttery biscuits. Super sweet, creamy, lactonic coconut with caramel! It opens really bright with that burnt sugar/caramel note then it develops into this toasted sugary coconut drizzled in a caramel coating. I get some what of a ‘crunchy’ sugar topping, the caramel gives the coconut a bit of a 'candy' coating fully forming the creme brulee. The opening is slightly synthetic but the perfume develops into a photo realistic coconut creme brulee, it’s wonderful. It’s not too complex, but there’s something quite nice about the scent of this creme brulee that makes me enjoy it. The notes are well-blended, and the sillage is moderate.

This opens up smelling like a coconut cookie/biscuit! Little powdery/dry almost, sweet but not overly sweet. I’d give it a 7.5/8 on the opening and then into the dry down this goes to a 10/10. Delicious creamy vanilla custard, the dry down saved this for me. I think for the cost the opening can be found for a much cheaper price it’s not new or niche smelling. I can’t wait to layer this and play around with it more. I think the opening will be more enjoyable layered, but this is a coconut forward fragrance in the opening and then creamy vanilla Creme brûlée custard in the dry down

Crème Brûlée by Theodoros Kalotinis is a deliciously nostalgic fragrance. It reminds me of Werther’s caramel candy and those Danish butter cookies in the blue tin from the holidays. There’s a creamy, photo-realistic ice cream vibe with a deep vanilla bean scent, and though it has a nutty edge, I was surprised not to find any pistachio or almond notes. It’s sweet, luxurious, and projects really well. If you’re into dessert-like fragrances, this one’s a 9 out of 10! This is for those who want to melt in his mouth and be served on a plate like Leah Kateb 😩🍨

To me this is exactly creme brulee, one of my favourite dessert. Its literal gourmand so you need to like foody gourmand. The only con for me is price point -150€ for 50 ml is a lot since I just had a sample and do not know longevity and overall performance (I tested it only at home). Overall, i had issue with longevity of TK perfumes before although I love coffee addict and lemon tart but those are more affordable at 45€ for 50 ml so I do not mind but if creme brulee would have had same performance for 3x price then I would be disappointed.

I am just getting my nose on this after months of wanting to. This one should have been named Coconut Crème Pie because it is photorealistic coconut custard with a tiny bit of burnt sugar far in the background. Here in Louisiana there are these hand pies made by Hubig (IYKYK). This smells exactly what the coconut custard in the pie smells like. It is sweet, custardy, with a nice coconut throughout. If you like coconut you will love this! This is not a beachy coconut- it’s 100% in the foodie gourmand space.

Beautiful fragrance - it really does smell like creme brulee! The burnt sugar and vanilla. I agree with Jaelzion - it does remind me of werthers original candy and also danish butter cookies. I feel this one is more feminine leaning. Still undecided if I should get a full bottle tho as I already have bianco latte? That one has honey and caramel, aswell as vanilla and white musk and is a beast mode fragrance and is more unisex. Both are great gourmands, but you probably don't need to own both.

so coconut heavy and I LOVE IT! this is everything to me. while i don't get crème brûlée exactly, it's a gorgeous custardy dessert smell with toasted coconut flakes sprinkled on top! reminds me of a raffaello too, it's such a beautiful edible fragrance. makes me want to eat my arm. the creamy coconut milky scent paired with the most gorgeous toasted coconut note i have ever come across is just. heaven this is a major compliment getter too! thank you theodoros kalotinis

I love everything from this house. Theodoros Kalotinis knocks it out of the park. He's also a very humble man who appreciates his customers so much, which makes me 100000% Team Theodoros. This definitely gives coconut at first spray, then mellows into a well balanced and not overly sweet, creme brulee. I think over time, when it's had a chance to mature, it will become exactly what I am looking for in terms of projection and scent. It's a love for me.

Very sweet, realistic and chocolaty creme brûlée. The absolute best from Theodoros, only tested it in store, but it made me want to eat my arm I had sprayed on. For me, the scent is pretty linear and stays the same for most of the wear, lasts about 9 hours, gets a bit sweeter as time goes by tho. A bit steep price for such a “basic” scent, but I love it and think it is worth it.

There is no Creme Brulée here. Of the few gourmand perfumes that I have tried, this Creme Brulee by Theorodos Kalotinis reminds me slightly of the Morph Dishumano perfume, due to the presence of creamy coconut. Of all the Kalotinis I have tried (and discarded), I would buy this one, I won't dislike it like the others.

A rich, sweet, creamy, coconut fragrance. Delicious. Lasts 8+ hours on me. I wear this all year round, but I spray a little bit more sparingly in summer. Maybe good to know: I learned that for some this might come off as a play-doh kind of scent ("Snif, snif..am I crazy or do you guys also smell play-doh?")!

I am head over heels madly in love with this! Creamy coconut milk with toasted coconut flakes and caramel. Great scent bubble and 7 hours longevity on my skin. Some may consider it heavy for extremely hot days but anything between 3 and 30 degrees Celsius, I'm wearing this!

Update! I bought the large bottle, although I stand by my claim that it doesn't smell like Crème Brulée, however the creamy coconut with a vanilla background that you find here, is beautiful, I love it. Also in clothes it lasts days

Coconut Cream Pie... delicious. It does have a little buttery note in the top which could be weird but it disappears in a few minutes. Drydown is creamy coconut milk. Lasts very long. $165/50ml used a 10% code on Luckyscent

I adore this scent. HOWEVER, for me it is not full bottle worthy because of the price and lack of longevity. Theodoros has some excellent fragrances, but the longevity just isn’t there, which is sad and disappointing 😢😢😢😢

Very unique gourmand! The thing is the opening is buttery and lasts a long time. If you can get past that (like 2 hours in) then it settles into a beautiful vanilla, milky coconut cream pie. Longevity is excellent.

This is my favorite coconut gourmand perfume! It actually smells like thick coconut creme, with a burnt sugar crust. Sooooo good! I’m so glad my nose isn’t broken because it really lasts on me.

Beautiful creamy toasted coconut fragrance, if you love edible gourmand then this is for you, I’m more of a fruity gourmand lover but I enjoy this. Longevity 9/10 Sillage 8/10

So I initially hated this perfume! I tested it as soon as it arrived in the mail and all I got was a sickening, plastic doll head, artificial coconut. I scrubbed it off straight away and put it up for sale. It has now been around 2 weeks and the perfume has changed so much! It’s more of what i was expecting/ hoping for. This is a very realistic crème brûlée scent. If you love creamy vanilla scents with a hint of coconut, this is a beautiful scent to try. It still has a bit of that plastic coconut in the background, but considering how much this perfume has developed in the space of a few short weeks, I believe that it will continue to improve over time. I will update my review in a month or so when I try it again, but this is now a scent I’m enjoying. This would be a great daytime scent for autumn, winter, or spring. It would probably be gorgeous for a cold autumn or winters night also. It isn’t a heavy scent but I think in the heat of summer, it would intensify and be sickening. I’d also say it’s perfectly unisex. If you try this and get the same screechy coconut heavy scent that I got in the beginning, give it a few weeks to settle and try it again. I honestly didn’t expect to change my mind on this one, but have decided to keep it!

a little misleading with name I can kinda see a coconut crème brûlée at first but if you are truly looking for that custardy crème brûlée scent this is not it but if you want to smell like coconut in a super sweet way you will love this😅 if you’ve smelt the kind of coconut from the body shop it’s similar to that like a fresh coconut but this is much much sweeter and so creamy and then you have that burnt sugar which might be a little much for some people at first but then after like 10 minutes that vanilla and cream really come through and everything blends together perfectly in the end it reminds me of a sugar cookie but it’s coconut 🥥 🍪 ✨ 🍮😋 ughhh lush need to bring out yummy custard in a lotion they would be so good together

The initial spray smells like the white Ferrero Rocher chocolates - light, yet warm toasted coconut flakes. The middle phase is literally custard, hence the name, crème brûlée. This is my favourite aspect of it, I wish it stayed longer. Dry down is that of melted vanilla ice cream. Like you’re eating vanilla ice cream during a hot day and it’s dripping down your hands a little bit. It’s that type of scent. Thoughts I like it, it’s light enough that it can actually be worn during the summer. However, I don’t think this is full bottle worthy, as the dry down is rather simple. I am happy this Greek brand is finally available in the west, definitely want to sample more from them.

Basing this review on a dapper tester. There was a strong paper/rice note in the opening?? I think this is supposed to be the toasted coconut milk note. The dry down is most enjoyable as you get the true crème Brule notes, and the waft of the dry down is just beautiful. I got those wafts that you just keep craving more of. I don't find this comparable in scent to my beloved Bianco Latte, but I think this is a good alternative in the hot months when BL is too cloying for me personally. The coconut makes it appropriate for hot months in my opinion, although I believe this should perform better in the cold months. We will see!

Very sweet and realistic gourmand. Smells strongly of burnt sugar at first spray. It was way too sweet for me at first but it dried down to a pleasant coconut whipped cream scent. I love it but I feel like there must be a bbw or vs body spray that smells exactly like the dry down of this fragrance. But probably not with this performance or longevity. I can see why someone would purchase a full bottle for that reason. It lasts 10+ hours. update: the more I wear it the more I love it. I love the dry down so much. The coconut is so delicious.

Smooth waxy sweet COCONUT FRAGRANCE. I love that it is not powdery. It is not thick and heavy. Just right in the middle making it easier to wear more seasons. This is a coconut dessert. Coconut cream pie. Coconut (American) vanilla pudding. Whipped essence and easy. It almost has a lotion effect on the skin if that makes sense. ONE spray and I'm getting gentle wofts as I move and warm up so don't overspray when you first get it. First 5 minutes had me worried about quality but then it smoothed out.

When I first was looking at purchasing this fragrance, i thought i was going to get more of a burnt sugar “pastry”-like scent. I was pleasantly surprised with a long lasting coconut- vanilla experience, something that reminds me of summer in Greece every time I spray it. It is definetly more of a fall, winter scent- as it may be too sweet for hot weather. For people looking to purchase, the coconut is definitely present but pleasant. Perfect to layer with Kayali’s Vanilla Coco !!!

Warm sweetness with a caramelly touch. The coconut accord gives it a subtlet nudge that places it above another Creme brûlée perfume I tried that was very one dimensional and all burned sugar. Nice bedtime scent but doesn’t ignite anything in me to purchase. Mid longevity as well. Easy 7.5 Edit: I kinda love her now I feel so sweet and girly wearing this so she gets an 8. Layers really well with my body products which I didn’t do the first time.

This is exactly Coco cabana from Sol de Janeiro. I immediately purchased it the moment I saw that it released thinking it would be a crème brûlée fragrance, but it is not at all. This is just a sweet coconut leaning frag. I’m not mad about it, but also I would have enjoyed a straight crème brûlée fragrance. The name is just very misleading.

Dang it. Wanted to love it. I think the burnt sugar is just too much for me. It almost has a frito corn chip and wheat scent on my skin. Is it nice in the air? Absolutely. Would I like a room spray for this? Sure! But wearing it.. even as a gourmand lover it’s just not there. It’s sweet but burnt and just not for me.

Anyone that says this is not strong is crazy... this is nuclear!! One of the strongest if not the strongest fragrance I own... it’s so strong that I can’t bare the first hour!! The dry down is nice tho!! But the opening is super intense so uber sweet in your face

This actually smells good. Vanilla, whipped cream and burnt sugar. It does smell like crème brûlée. The only thing is that I have so many gourmands in my collection that I don’t see this as unique enough to add. Good sillage and great longevity.

So this is a true coconut, not like coconut water but like flesh. As soon as I sprayed it smelled like a bag of coconut flakes. I wouldn’t go into this thinking of caramelized sugar. Not what I expected but I can see it being great for layering

This is a delicious coconut cream fragrance. Actually has pretty nice sillage but it’s definitely on the more artificial side and can be a little cloying in some circumstances. I’d still give it a go if you are a gourmand lover!

I absolutely ADORE this! My most complimented gourmand by far, and one of my most complimented perfumes in general! So delicious and feminine. A little goes a long way. My friend could smell me coming from down the street.

It's a very gourmand coconut scent but there's no crème brûlée in this. If you really enjoy coconut and want something gourmand instead of sunscreeny and tropical go for it but don't expect a crème brûlée.

Beautiful creamy gourmand. Smells like a creme brulee but added coconut accords. Not worth the price though. Great fragrance and overall the best from Theodoros, smells eatable. A bit too sweet
