Gingerbread Dough

Not as spicy as I would expect from gingerbread, which normally is heavy on cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, pepper, ginger... There is some ginger, but it also remind me of some cookie dough, and although not listed, I fee like there is a touch of citrus or citrus peel in it. It feels a bit oily/buttery, but overall is blended beautifully. Actually smells like poundcake to me! Reminds in some way Panetone by Milano Fragranze or Tilda Swinton Like This by Etat Libre D'Orange, but Gingerbread Dough is more beautiful, delicious and any other alternate feels redundant. This whole collection feels very coherent and all of the scents are most festive Autumn/Winter scents ever! Performance is decent too.

The opening is intriguing. It truly smells like spiced cookie dough. You can feel the atmosphere of gingerbread cookies popping into the oven to take their final shape. There's plenty of ginger, butter, vanilla sugar, and cinnamon and honey haven't been forgotten either. I also detect a fair amount of citrus. I can already picture Christmas, although I expected more spices; the buttery note with citrus and ginger is more prominent. It's somewhat reminiscent of Cinnamon Rolls in terms of its atmosphere, although it's an exaggeration to say they're very similar. Gingerbread Dough doesn't have as much cinnamon, but they share weak performance characteristics. Unfortunately the longevity is so poor that despite a strong affinity for the composition itself, I won't be buying a full bottle. One or two hours and the fun is over. Of this new TK Christmas series - Gingerbread Dough is definitely the weakest in terms of performance. 7/10

Super subtle holiday spice kind of scent. Very understated and inoffensive. I see it drying down to a sexy spicy musk. You get the wet dough, soft ginger and brown sugar in the opening, similar to cinnamon rolls minus the heavy bubble gummy cinnamon. It settles down into all those holiday spices, a little bready, not overly sweet, and without smelling like a candle. I figured this would be a safe blind buy for me, but it wasn't unfortunately.

It is a lovely scent and I do pick up the cinnamon, as well as a nice freshness in it. However, the projection is pretty weak and the longevity is even worse. I don't think it lasts even a whole hour. Very disappointing, because out of the three Kalotinis new perfumes - the apple pie and hazelnut - this one looked (and I mean smelled and looked on paper) the most promising. I have to definitely state that the scent doesn't last, unlike other gourmand perfumes.

I thought I would absolutely love this. But it is very boring :( it starts with strong ginger, brown sugar and cinnamon, no buttery or cookie dough aspect. It also disappears fast. I literally walked into the store, planning to buy this but thank goodness for testers, it is not what I thought it would be.

At first, this is an outstanding sweet ginger + orange peel + dough. I love it so much! Unfortunately after a few minutes that all fades away to a faint vanilla skin scent. The beauty of this scent is so, so, so short lived. :(

In my search for gourmands and with late night social media encouragement, I gave this Gingerbread Dough a try. Womp Womp. No cookies, just overly sweet fumes.

No gingerbread dough here... I can't smell it, maybe the first few seconds there was a gingery, citrusy smell to it but now there is only floral! Is it something wrong with my nose because both this one and the apple pie perfume does not smell like how others smell it!?!? 😂

Not impressed smells like last years release cinnamon rolls

The opening is exactly like speculos biscuits dough - not exactly like gingerbread tho. I'm so sad it lasts only few minutes. Then it disappears and all I can smell are mainly wanilla, buttery notes, spiced up by cinnamon and nutmeg. I think that the flour accord makes it a bit powdery as well. It's quite similar to last year's cinnamon rolls, although CR were more lactonic and buttery? and this perfume is more spicy - drydown gives of althair vibes to me. The saddest part is that the longevity is sooooo weak. It lasts only few hours on my skin. :(((

this is giving compound butter not gingerbread dough if that makes sense. Not enough spice, too much butter.
