Le Poudré Néroli

T. LeClerc produces high quality makeup that always smells great. It's strange, at first, to smell it (from your face) for good part of your day. I never had bad reaction to it and I have exceptionally difficult skin. So it didn't surprise me when they started producing oils and perfume. I liked them a lot. There is a feeling of intimate wellness I enjoy about them. But they were both just a bit too sweet and too musky for my taste in the long run. Since the change of bottles, perfumes seem to have slightly changed too. I didn't tried them, so I don't know, but knowing the brand for a long time, I don't expect anything radical. The style will be the same; comfortable, cosmetic and intimate. This is a unexpected interpretation of neroli. Just as I thought no neroli could possibly surprise me. It's sweet, fresh, cold and delicately aromatic. It makes me think of good vanilla ice cream. And probably just as universally liked. You can't go wrong with vanilla ice cream. I think it's because of the healthy dose of ylang in it. Very creamy and sweet, but not obnoxiously so. I even smell ambergris. Slightly salty and lived in, like the smell of the skin of someone we love. It's lovely. Still too musky for my taste, but lovely nonetheless. Late June...it holds surprisingly well in heath. Heath waves are getting more frequent and last longer, and most of the perfumes are either just too much to bear or gone quickly. Wich is kind of the point of the whole eau de cologne family. This Néroli is a pleasant surprise despite the balmy base. I thought it would be too heavy. I was wrong.
