Sheep Meadow

im not gonna write some crazy long detailed review just cus like i dont have the energy for this but... you really have to let this one grow on you, i got it maybe around Christmas and i immediately hated it. I thought the opening smelled too green and it all kinda smelled gross... and then i came back to it, i think i finally understand it. Sheep meadow starts off immediately with lavender and some blueberry if you're actively looking for it, then after maybe 5 minutes it dries down into what id describe as an earthy gourmand with the vetiver and chocolate coming together in a really cool dusty way. Im not gonna sit here and act like this scent is for everyone, but it's definitely for me and slowly it has become my everyday scent. Sheep meadow is my baby...

This fragrance watered my flowers, fed my soul, and cleared my skin. The softest, milkiest blend of chocolate and lavender. Spraying this immediately feels like swinging open the door to a new boutique cafe in your neighborhood. They’re lattes will be expensive and worth every cent. It’s pleasantly strong at first, especially that hit of milk chocolate. Very creamy very sweet very lush. Almost took a bite out of my arm. I really love the dry down on this. After a minute and at a distance it’s just bakery sweet, fresh, and cozy. Didn’t notice a huge amount of blueberry jam though. Would be the perfect scent to wear when taking a girl on a picnic date. Yummy, pleasant, another great from the NY collection.

this perfume is like a messy situationship where i am the problem. when i first wore it, i fell in love and decided it should be my signature scent. then i wore it while horribly hungover a day later and decided i didn’t like it anymore because of sense memory. then i started wearing it again on a whim months later & got compliments on it every 5 seconds. and now i want it to be my signature again because everyone else likes when i wear it. my only takeaway from this experience is that i am fickle and easily influenced.

One of my favorites from the New York line. This is like nothing I own! Side note- I'm surprised how many people don't enjoy this! Kind of a good thing for me, seeing as how unique I will smell hahaha. I finally got. FS of this and I'm so happy. The combination of lavender, chocolate, blueberry and denim is so interesting. it does create an earthy, slightly sweet, slightly floral smell.... it's so beautiful.

I bought the sample set, then the travel size, and now I am waiting for the full bottle. Since first spray I have neglected nearly every other perfume I have, save for l’eau papier which I occasionally layer with sheep meadow. Think Wild Mercury perfectly captures something sweet, evocative, and groovy every time. This smells like a hazy memory of a dream from a nap in the grass.

I don’t know how to stress this enough, THIS IS AMAZING. Starts off 50/50 green/lavender and chocolate, and as it dries down there’s more sweetness (but not an overpowering sweetness) which is delicious. This is NOT what I expected from the notes, but it is so cozy and beautiful. I may buy a full bottle of this.

I can't sing my praises more highly of this house for truly unique, niche fragrances! I loved all four fragrances from the NYC sampler; Sheep Meadow is a fun, hippy, jammy-but-rich experience. Artsy and groovy! Nothing from this house is a safe blind buy though, ngl.

this perfume is so so LOVELY. utterly beautiful. the hyper-realistic lavender and blueberry jam stay for a long while on my skin and they are just splendid!!! the base of amyris and tonka smell a bit incensey to me. true meadow scent.

this one ended up being my favorite from the NY collection to wear. it just works for me. sweetness is balanced by drier notes like jean and lavender. a unique contribution to a spring/summer rotation.

This perfume is as easy as putting on my favourite t-shirt and jeans. It's exactly as described, like sitting in a field in a park on a warm, sunny spring day with the suggestion of a gentle breeze tickling your skin. A picnic in a park. A walk through town on a bright morning with your favourite beverage in hand, on your way to buy some books. The first, early days of spring when the ground is warming up and the sun is out and the trees are blooming and you can finally enjoy some time outside. I was hesitant about the lavender because sometimes lavender gives me a headache and can be too cold, but this opens with a warm lavender that gives this its outdoors-y feel. The blueberry comes through in a subtle way, giving it a round sweetness without overindulging into a decadent gourmand. As it dries down it becomes a warm herbal scent that's really easy-going. I kept getting whiffs of it all day when I wore it, and it just made me happy every time I smelled it. I don't think this is a warm weather scent, but it's definitely a transitional season sent. Maybe even winter if you're feeling down and need to be reminded of sunnier times.

Very cute. My second favorite of all of Thin Wild Mercury's offerings. I found this one to not have a very commanding presence. Sheep Meadow is soft, sweet, and earthy. Exactly my type. I didn't really get the jeans (darn it) or lavender. I mostly got chocolate and a bit of berry. I feel like the listed accords on this are overstating the sweet and fruity facets of the fragrance. My guess is that the chocolate accord is created, at least in part, from patchouli. I've tested a lot of patchouli scents, including amber/choco-patchoulis, and this reads similar to my nose. Some scents that you may like if you particularly enjoy Sheep Meadow: Psychadelique by Jovoy, Gothic II by Loree Rodkin; Time of the Season by Lush. If i didn't already have way too many patchouli scents, I would buy this one.

this really does smell like a denim jacket idk how they did that. its like a pair of jeans drenched in lavender essential oil with a piece of melted chocolate in the pocket. i like this scent in theory but it can be a little overpowering. not sure why but it reminds me of old crayola paints or markers i used to use as a kid. i will say longevity is good, i spritz it on my clothes and it lasts forever. wish i wore it more often because i love the idea of it but its just a little too powdery or something for me to wear every day.

This is my second favorite from the New York collection! This is a unique gourmand- a chocolatey, blueberry scent, but not in an overpoweringly sweet way. Bitter almond and earthy vetiver emerge on the dry down, all delivered on a bed of aromatic lavender. I'm currently wearing it to sleep because I find the lavender notes really cozy :3

phew! Initially, there is a powerful punch of lavender and jammy blueberry, throwing me off a bit from the scent for myself. As it has settled, there is definitely a lingering chocolatey lavender in the air; the vetiver settles very closely on my skin. The earthy notes come through very well in the dry down, a bit powdery :)

I really like the base of this perfume but the top notes are not appealing. I wish it had different top notes cause the base is really awesome.

Is this perfume what I wanted it to be? no. Is this a bad perfume? also no. Classic case of this just isn't "for me" - I adored the scent on paper, but when it came to a wear test, I felt like an alien all day long. In my head, I was going to be sampling a beautifully sticky jammy fruity scent that settled into a warm cozy summer night vibe (denim, tonka bean, chocolate) What I got was a lavender bomb for about an hour or so, with whiffs of blueberry that left more to be desired. As the perfume settled, it was an odd almost soapy green that I can't quite pinpoint. At no point did I pick up almond, chocolate, or tonka bean from this fragrance. I hated wearing this, but if I smelled it on someone else with no expectations, I'd like it.

Sweet, musty opening, followed by artificial lavender and dusty chocolate shavings. The smell of an old Hershey wrapper lost in the pocket of a well-worn denim jacket, hints of generic bluebell breeze detergent from a long ago wash, waiting in a thrift store basement in search of a second life. I appreciate the vision, but this did not work for me and pulled way too synthetic floral and musty on my skin. Excited to try others in the line though!

This lavender is not sleepy...she has been turned into a real girl and she is frolicking and picking berries off a nearby bush and crushing them between her teeth with a neat squish. Smells a little like laundry detergent near the beginning but by the end of its lifespan on the skin I smell lovely juicy berries. It's not to my taste though.

To me smells strongly of white bar soap or bubbling laundry soap, with the faintest hint of grass and possibly chocolate covered blueberries. I say possibly as someone who loves gourmands -- this is NOT a gourmand perfume. Very floral and soapy. It is fairly unique, haven't come across anything like it, and rather quirky.

For me the amyris DOMINATED the opening. Headache inducing and screechy. Pretty sure the amyris is why so many reviews mentioned cleaning products or chemicals. Some of the other notes come out in the dry down but it's disjointed.

This smells like I ordered a blueberry jam donut in an old dirty woody diner and people around me have on vintage blue jeans. Very interesting, though I’m not sure I’d wear it

I could smell the chocolate in this. It's okay, and a unique scent, but to me doesn't make sense for every day wear.

Oh no, you accidentally sprayed chocolate and blue berry syrup all over your new pair of jeans. Thankfully you have a pack of baby wipes to clean up all that sweet mess. Unfortunately, now you smell of lavender scented baby wipes. I’m not sure I understand this perfume. The note list is pretty accurate to what I smell, I just don’t understand why this is the desired outcome. It smells like a mistake. I also do not connect this smell with the location, this is missing greenness, and some sort of earthy quality. I think the vetiver needed to come through more at least. Other of Thin Wild Mercury’s are quite nice, this just does not work for me.

I have to agree that the opening is giving baby wipes. Not unpleasant, but wouldn't want to smell like this. ThinWildMercury has such a beautiful nostalgic, hazy signature, but I don't want stale dusty chocolate. Once the baby-wipes lavender fades, the blueberry is reminiscent of a scented marker and the chocolate is the Disney theme park accord. I do love the tail end of the drydown. It's warm, safe and slightly sweet, like waking up from a siesta in your childhood bedroom to the smell of something baking.

I love all of TWM west coast line, but so much of the east left me disappointed. Including Sheep Meadow. It’s so overpowering in trying to be sweet it drowns itself in smelling the way blue toilet bowl cleaner looks. It makes me sad every time I see it on my shelf, begging to be used, but I just can’t bring myself to wear musk of port-a-potty

TWM I love you but this was such a miss. I see what she was trying to do here, and if I close my eyes I can almost pick up on the denim note. Unfortunately, whatever is harnessing that denim note complete overpowers everything else. I get no blueberry or chocolate. This just smells like an herbal witch shop.

I really, really wanted to like this--the blueberry, lavender, chocolate, and denim all appealed to me--but all I can smell is sharp, bitter vetiver. It overpowers all else on my skin. I'm not a fan of vetiver-forward fragrances so this is a scrubber for me. My dog was really into it, though.

This is based on the discovery set sample, but WOW does this smell like a sheep. IDK how they did it but, I get it, and I do not like it.

I really wanted to like this. The notes seemed like they would work together well while being very unique, but I recoiled upon first spray. It's actually a little nauseating. Super synthetic, cleaner-like smell that I don't know what to compare to. After letting it sit for a second, the lavender comes through, then the chocolate note with the almond. And it's still pretty bad, just in a slightly different way. There isn't a cohesive scent - it smells like the notes are fighting each other for dominance. I also don't get any vetiver or cotton/denim, which really takes away from the attempted vibe. I think the concept is lovely, but it wasn't executed well and this perfume is just trying to do too many things at once. Chelsea Staircase and Girl of the Year are much better.

I really wanted to love this and had high expectations for it but I absolutely hated it. I couldn’t pick up on any of the blueberry and while wearing it smelled like the bad incenses that they burn at a smoke shop.

really strong lavender at the front, reminiscent of cleaning products, but if you give it time to settle in, I start to dig it a lot more. the lavender calms and up comes an almond Hershey's bar- but one that's been sitting out in the sun. any blueberry I detect is muddled, like a bag of dark chocolate covered blueberries, not jammy. the denim is lived in and stretched out, like how jeans feel on a third or fourth wear. a warm, powdery fragrance, not a safe blind buy and definitely not for everyone. it's spring and you're planted on the picnic blanket you keep for exceptionally pretty days such as today. sitting next to you is a good friend of yours, she's beautiful and kind. near the patch of grass you're on is a lavender plant that's been well kept and cared for. your friend asks if you'd like a piece of the chocolate bar she brought in her bag, but you decline. as she eats, the chocolate begins to melt on her fingers. not able to clean off all the mess on her hands, she cleans her fingers off on the jeans she's wearing, laughing. "it's okay, I needed to wash them anyway," she says.

Do not buy this expecting a gourmand, that's not what this perfume is at all. It's a powdery, earthy type of fragrance with a hint of sweetness. The opening reminds me of those vintage clothing shops run by old hippies. Jeans seeped in incense. Then, after a while, a slight jam blueberry shows itself with a dust of chocolate and dry grass. It's definitely a unique scent. Not everyone will enjoy this but I'm glad I got to sample it :) Also, random, but this perfume seems to be a fan favorite with dogs? My two dog would NOT stop sniffing and rubbing their faces after I sprayed it on me. And I've noticed that another commenter mentioned this as well.

Someone else described this as an "earthy gourmand" and that is honestly the perfect description of this. For me, the initial spray is extremely herbal, and as it dries down it becomes sweet and comforting. The vision I get is of someone who was outside picking fresh lavender and then went inside and baked a pie (all whilst wearing their favorite, worn-in jeans). I really don't get too much blueberry from it, but I do notice more of the chocolate and denim. The final dry-down is sweet yet soapy on me. It's basically an earthy, fresh gourmand which isn't for everyone but I thought it was lovely and unique.

I like this one quite a bit, but i get something so different then what i’ve read. The lavender and blueberry dissipates quite quickly on me and it dries down to a mixture of cacao and veriver, that comes off like a chocolatey patchouli type scent. There’s a vague purple my feel in the background. In the air, i smell something kind of resinous and salty. The scent is not sweet or gourmand or even floral in my opinion. It’s a little dirty, and very earthy. I like it a lot but wouldn’t recommend for someone whose expecting sweet blueberry or sleepy classic lavender.

I liked this one from her New York line. It was weird but I did like it. I am not sure I would purchase it but it was distinct and memorable. I can smell the blend of blueberry, jeans, and chocolate. It reminded me of the blueberry shortbread body spray from Bath and Body Works but elevated with some notes of vetiver and jean to make it bougie. It was sweet and warm but also meadow-y. Maybe because it is called Sheep Meadow, but I felt like I was laying in sweet grass on a warm big puffy cloud like day surrounded by soft sheep with beautiful white coats

there really is too much going on in this. it comes across as powdery and chalky, but with a nauseating sweet gourmand facet. it's not situated strongly in any one scent camp, so the result is an unsatisfying amalgamation. i truly did find it kind of nauseating. i also really don't understand the vision or why these notes would have been put together, but it smells exactly how i feared it would smell except weirdly more muted and lotion-y which made it worse.

I wish that this was better, the concept is so cool :( It's very chalky, and the chocolate note is the sour flavor of a cheap milk chocolate coin, probably from Christmas last year... ewww. Neither the lavender or amyris are deep nor herbaceous enough to balance the cheap candy mess that persistently wafts off my skin. I'm going to order a sample of Fantôme's Stolas, which has similar notes. Hopefully the execution of their fragrance is better!

this really somehow smells like old jeans, the lavender somehow brings it out more. This is to me, predominantly a lavender and tonka bean perfume. I am missing the blueberry and chocolate which is a bit disappointing. I wouldn't have said this smelled like wet wipes on my own- but after reading a review mentioning it, I really do smell wet wipes now. Unfortunately a little musty smelling, however my boyfriend said I smelled nice

smells like an occult shop. I'm talking scratchy burnt greens and bleached herbs and a super dry lavender. I don't get any blueberry or denim, or that particular evocation. opening is a scrubber. dry down is mildly more tolerable solely bc it's less strong. idk why people are saying it's sweet or fruity, it's incense-y wood and burning herbs. 0 chocolate or berry.

Oh man. This is a beautiful, light, earthy, fruity lavender. The vetiver and lavender are the strongest notes here, rounded out with a powdery blueberry. It’s a little bit vintage, i think it’s the denim note, that reminds me of 90’s strip malls growing up on Long Island.

undeniably a little scented baby wipe-y but I am still a bit endeared to it. Occasionally a milk chocolate will waft by. I don't get very much blueberry jam or denim which is upsetting because those are the more interesting aspects.

The only perfume in the TWM line I actively disliked. It’s a total mess, too much happening. The powderiness (maybe from the lavendar or whatever they used for the denim accord) makes the chocolate come off stale and chalky.

Expensive bathroom in Dubai... masculine effect of the lavender, some bitter dark chocolate, and a strange headiness of sweet that can only be from the blueberries. This is not a classic sweet fruity fragrance.

This is not what I was expecting. I thought it would be my favorite of the collection. Its very earthy and I really do not enjoy it.
