Moon Lotus

Alright, one bottle, one nose, no bias. If you love florals, stop reading and just go try Moon Lotus, because this is one of the most well blended and genuinely unique floral fragrances I have ever put my nose on, and I don't say that lightly. It opens like throwing the windows open on the first warm, bright morning of the year. Sunlight pouring across the floor, a bowl of fresh cut citrus on the counter, a vase of flowers sitting right next to it. Clean, bright, and smooth all at once, the kind of opening that physically lifts your mood the second it hits the air. There's nothing sharp or synthetic about it, it just feels like good light and fresh air. Then the citrus burns off and the real magic shows up. It settles into this creamy, softly sweet, slightly powdery floral arrangement that feels less like a perfume and more like an experience. I'm not usually one to get hokey about this stuff, but it's therapeutic. The best way I can describe it is a Vicks VapoRub effect, and I mean that in the least menthol way possible, just that sense of something gently radiating off your skin and soothing you on a physical level, the way a warm compress or the steam off a hot bath relaxes you without you even thinking about it. It's a hug you can smell. As the journey winds down you're left with something tranquil, a creamy, smooth sandalwood and vanilla with the last of the florals drifting in the background. It's lovely, but here's the thing, after an hour or two in this phase I just want to spray again and start the whole thing over. It's like a movie, a book, or an album you've gone back to a hundred times that never once gets old, always sitting right there to comfort you when you need it. On performance, longevity is great, a solid eight hours, which is honestly all I ask of anything. Projection is a different conversation. It's above average for the first two or three hours, then it pulls in close and stays intimate for the rest of the ride. If you're at a conference table, or across from your partner at dinner, or out with a group of friends, they will absolutely catch it and be delighted, but you are not reaching across the restaurant to the table two rows over. Would I welcome a version dialed up a notch so it could play in louder rooms, sure, but it's obvious that was never the goal. This is intentional and controlled, built for your comfort and pleasure first, not the crowd around you. Final verdict. This is a must try for anyone who loves florals. It's beautiful, it's unique, and it does something almost no fragrance manages: it makes the act of wearing it feel restorative. It isn't built to dominate a room and it doesn't care to be, it's built to make you feel good, and on that one mission it is flawless. 10 out of 10. The kind of bottle you reach for, not to impress anyone, although those who are lucky enough to be close to you will be impressed, but to take care of yourself.

Moon Lotus is the 4th and highly anticipated release from Third Eye Fragrance Company. After buying and thoroughly enjoying the first three releases: Red Rum, Flamango, and Iris Obsidian, I just knew I had to have Moon Lotus. Moon Lotus starts out with a burst of fresh fruits similar to its predecessor, Flamango, with notes of Peach, Pineapple, and Mandarin on top. But unlike Flamango (which stays true to its citrus freshie design), Moon Lotus takes you down a different path, as it transitions into creamy white florals and blue lotus. But don't let these notes fool you. The florals aren't heavy here. They're blended to perfection in an aquatic and seductive floral symphony dancing on the water at dusk. And then without warning, the beautiful floral melody has an entanglement with base notes of sandalwood, vanilla, and ambergris. It is the perfect depiction of the moons rays reflecting on serene waters and the whiffs of white florals still lingering in the warm breeze. While I love all of Third Eye Fragrance Co.'s offerings, I believe Moon Lotus is the most intricate, seductive, and intoxicating release from them yet and I am ecstatic to have this in my collection!

I’ve been eagerly anticipating Moon Lotus ever since I first heard about it back in January, and I can confidently say it was well worth the wait. I’m lucky enough to be among the very first to receive a retail bottle, and honestly, I don’t even know where to begin. From my conversations with Will, he mentioned that he considers Moon Lotus his best work to date, and I could not agree more. This fragrance is a stunning, slightly fruity floral composition. The ylang-ylang stands out beautifully right from the start, which I absolutely love, while the jasmine emerges gracefully as it develops. It does lean ever so slightly feminine, but that won’t stop me, I’ll be wearing the heck out of it. My only “complaint” is that the largest size is 50ml, because I can already tell I’ll be going through it quickly. 11/10: Another incredible creation.

This has to be the most captivating scent I've ever had pleasure of getting my nose on. I live in Orlando and went to La Jetee in search of a signature scent. I went thru several niche brand until I saw the Third Eye line up at the back of the store with a very nice looking bottle and label. I let it sit on my skin for a good half hour and let me tell you I've never fell in love with a fragrance faster than this. The floral isn't feminine, the notes compliment each other like the finest work of art, and the longevity is absolute perfection day in and day out. Projection is also stunning, about an arm's length for 3 hours on my skin. This is now my signature scent, all my 26 scent collection I've been looking for something that was uniquely me, and I found myself within this work of art. Thank you Will Southard <3

This is legitimately the exact same as Argos' Narcissus Obsession. I now own both, sprayed them on each wrist and I cannot tell them apart. Nonetheless, a very nice scent but total redundancy to own both.
