Vetyver And Rose

This is great, really wearable and lovely rose perfume. Like the whole line, many will question the price versus value because these aren’t “big statement” or “big performance” scents. I would say that like the newest Celine line you are paying for the brand (everything else is expensive so this can’t be cheap) and a quality formula purposely made to be soft, modern, tastefully sheer and wearable. The details are delicately balanced and I’ve yet to encounter anything here that reads cheap or stonking, chemical or clumsy. The note pyramid does this one justice. You get a gently sweet pink rose and fruit ice accord seamlessly layered atop the signature vetiver accord enhanced by chamomile and dusted with rice powder. The vetiver accord present in all 6 from the line becomes more and more discernible as the rose fades over many hours. Nothing groundbreaking but definitely hard to dislike. I recommend buying the $150 48ml sample set and enjoying the beautiful packaging and array of all six scents in little 8ml bottles if you can’t commit to buying one full bottle. I wish more high end lines offerred something like this at this price or lower. 4 out of 5.

Vetyver & Rose is the most interesting of Thom Browne's perfumes. Fresh and fruity, it is in the style of so many other "rose-lychee" releases. Great for a dedicated fan of Thom Browne's designs but otherwise underwhelming.
