THE SOARING BEAUTY OF THE DC10 This is the most underrated fragrance in my collection. It is fragrances like this that make me happy. You smell it on first blast and it instantly feels homely and familiar. It took me a few seconds that first time to recognise why it smelt a bit familiar: I have been a card-carrying BR540 fan for some years and there are some striking similarities there even if the two are very different. Desire du Coeur Number Ten (I'll call it DC10 from here on in, for brevity's sake, and because I think it fits - this is a heavy wide body of a graceful flying machine) is a fresher and livelier creation than the OG 540 and the lemon peel elevates it well away from copy or dupe territory. I've found myself wishing BR540 was a little brighter and fresher for daytime wears a bit over the last 18 months or so and DC10 actually delivers this in spades. It almost smells like BR540 layered with the new, reimagined Colonia from AdP. Officially there isnt any bergamot in DC10 according to the notes but it has the higher end citrus accords there and I do feel like I can smell it. It is a very different smell and the citrus in the orange notes does wonderful things here. What you have here then is an elevated, freshened up, dare-I-say more contemporary take on something adjacent to (but not the same as) BR540 DNA but more wearable and with genuine, proper daily wearer credentials and an undeniably wider common appeal. Don't get me wrong. BR540 is one of my absolute all timers and one I will probably be buried wearing, hopefully many, many years from now. It is special to me. It has meaning and an emotional connection and is one of the fragrances that opened my nose and my mind to the world of fine fragrance. And DC10 isnt BR540. I actually think DC10 is better. All the things I love about the OG, DC10 does better, and a few more things besides. DC10 is better than BR540. Crikey. I think I need to sit down and think about what I'm saying. Maybe have a cup of tea, Chris. No, I mean it. I genuinely do think that. I genuinely do think that DC10 is better than one of the best, most beloved and most iconic fragrances of all time, for me and for the whole perfume industry around the world. It evokes BR540 but it isnt the same, at all. There are no floral notes or saffron in DC10 to my nose. I get no ambergris. I always felt there was a little bit of amber in BR540 but it is much stronger here in DC10. There is a musk accord that runs through it like a piece of aviation grade structural aluminium that BR540 doesnt have. Objectively, it is a nicer smell. Its fresher, more wearable, less divisive, more complicated, less cloying in the drydown and - astonishingly - has even better performance. Remember when you used to wake up in the morning and still smell the BR540 on your skin from yesterday and it would raise a wry smile at its seriously heavy hitting performance that just did not quit? Believe it or not, DC10 is somehow MORE powerful and projecting than BR540. Maybe its you that needs to sit down, have a cup of tea and think about what I'm saying. I recognise that, as with any perfume with this power and intensity (and it is jawdroppingly powerful), the room will be divided and some will find it overpowering. Some may not like the smell, or indeed of the undeniable memories of other fragrances that it can evoke in some people. For me, this ticks all the boxes. This is the smell of my boxes being ticked. This is the first perfume I've bought for a some time that I have loved deep in my bones, right in the most personal confines of my soul, right from first sniff of the opening. The drydown is linear and it doesnt do any stunts; it is refined, powerful but lighthearted sophistication rather than demonstrative olfactory gymnastics. Isnt it lovely when that happens? When you find something that just does it for you? When the stars align and the universe leans in close... When you meet someone or experience something that is just "you" and also "them" but also "you". As if there is a connection, from the touching of skin to across the vastness of the cosmos; that connection. The glimmer of unspoken universal recognition from a soul touching a soul and you already knowing them/it. Heavy words for a fragrance, sure. But you get what I mean. When you know, you know. This is one of those times. I am wearing Number Ten Desire Du Couer today. Today is a good day. Scent - 10/10 Sillage - 9/10 Drydown - 8/10 Bottle/packaging - 7/10 Performance - 10/10 44/50

I've got to agree with the other user on here, this smells very similar to Town & Country. I like it better than Town & Country actually lol I'm shocked that in the "reminds me of" section it's not in the no. 1 spot for similarity. This is really good! I don't get the hate on this one at all. It's synthetic but not all synthetics are equal. Another 13 is synthetic and I find that fragrance to be gorgeous. Ganymede is synthetic and that's a masterpiece. . .So in other words, don't let the word "synthetic" keep you from trying this. It's actually quite well done, and I don't find this screechy or cheap at all. In fact, I'd wear this over 90% of what you'd find in Ulta or your local Dillards, so I'd say this one actually deserves a chance. One thing I have noticed with this house is that they like to copy. There's a lot of BR540, Town & Country, Oud For Greatness, Creed Aventus, etc. similarities in their fragrances. Not a bad thing I guess, but it's not the most original house. It seems they take these popular fragrances DNA and put them on top of this sort of minty menthol gum signature scent profile that I can smell in all Thomas Kosmala fragrances. All in all, this is a very wearable, almost addictive sort of scent. I'd imagine it would turn heads. It's not a synthetic mess at all contrary to what some reviews on here say, but that's just my own personal opinion. This is what I'd consider to be the epitome of a signature scent. It smells good, can be worn all year round, projects, will get compliments, smells niche so you won't be wearing the same thing most guys wear. Solid 8/10.

This is my second review after owning the EDP for several years. This fragrance made me become a gatekeeper and I hate gatekeeping. I get compliments every single time I wear it - it’s absolutely monstrous in terms of projection and longevity. I have been told it’s too strong. I have left concerts and people have tapped my shoulder on the way out to say, “I found you, you smell so good the whole place smells like you”. It is very synethic smelling so keep that in mind - it’s changed my perspective on what people consider to be in the musk category. When I first got this, I wasn’t that impressed - it’s grown on me immensely. I was expecting it to be a pencil shavings type musk, It’s not like that at all. Number 10 is sharp and not a skin scent musk - more of a cologne(y) musk. There’s a sharpness I can only describe as Myrrh. In my opinion, it’s a heavy mix of citrus and incense notes paired alongside a cloudy musk base. This is not a dry musk or a floral musk at all - it’s a neutral spiced citrus musk. It sparkles in your nose. It has an airiness that’s almost tingly (like BR540 or Another 13), it’s difficult to describe. You will go noseblind to this but get little whiffs throughout the day to remind you how insane the wear time is on it. Beware: Everything you own will smell like it - your car, your closet, your pet, your favorite coworkers cubicle, your entire perfume collection will take on its DNA - it’s nuclear. Your life will be split from when before you smelled this and after - it changes your perception of scent for better or worse. Not for the faint of heart.

Opening is animalic on my skin and then I get something akin to a powdered honey, along with an amber vibe. It's not a rich or gourmand amber, it's a clean white molecule type amber. After about 30 minutes, the musk starts becoming more prominent and assumes control. The drydown keeps a very faint animalic, salty, and sour quality, while still somehow staying clean. Fantastic! If I didn't know better, I'd think that they put real ambergris in here 🤯 But I doubt it, it's probably musk and/or cistus. The finished product is a clean musk that I'm really enjoying. I don't get any similarity to BR540, but noses are different, and my skin is dry, low PH, so ymmv. If I had to compare it with something I'd say it has some similarities with Le Labo Another 13, but with an animalic edge of Affinessence Musc Ambergris. -------------------------------------------------------- My favorite from the house of Thomas Kosmala. An interesting molecule fragrance that gives me the best of both worlds, a great balancing act between the dichotomy of dirty and clean. Scent 90/100

Desir du Coeur from my collection is, without a doubt, the most intriguing perfume for me. I’ve emptied more than half a bottle simply exploring it. For the first two to three hours, it opens with a linear white musk—softly clean, powdery, and synthetic, with only a hint of animalic warmth. But the true magic begins in the dry down, when woody spicy notes emerge, delicately intertwined with an amber base that carries a subtle animalic facet. This is the soul of the fragrance, a character that plays and dances with your senses. Applied directly to the skin, this facet might remain elusive. It truly comes alive when applied to fabric—there, the dry-down unfolds slowly, revealing its hidden complexity, cherishing your olfactory senses with every moment. Its longevity is remarkable. And if you try to sniff it closely, you’ll never fully capture it,this enigmatic facet rises at its own will, continuously surprising and delighting the nose.

This is a light Ambery musk in the style of molecule fragrances. This is very light and works best when layered. It has a light citrus zest in the open but settled into light ambery & smoky (almost resinous) base. Again , this is very light and in the style of molecule frags which are supposed to blend with your natural scent to create a truly unique fragrance. If you want unique & sexy this is it- if you’re looking for a nuclear room filler, look elsewhere. 9/10 in my opinion. There aren’t many perfect 10s in my book. EDIT: Keep in mind this was created to be a “molecule style” fragrance. This is noted on the TK website. So this fragrance wears differently on everyone. If anything this is the definition of a signature scent as it will smell and perform differently on everyone. Quote from the site: “Warm, comforting and sensual, this molecular potion changes based on the wearer. As a ‘skin fragrance’ it adapts to body chemistry.”

I tried the Elixir de Parfum at Dillard’s today. I’d strongly recommend to apply sparingly, as it’s strong and long lasting. At first spray this opens with a really dense, fresh, and clean musk, with some subtle spice notes. It essentially takes the Ambroxan and musk in Sauvage and intensifies it. The opening really reminds me of the Elixir version of Sauvage, it’s almost borderline screechy but it isn’t horrible. Once it dries down it’s more manageable and a great fresh musk that projects very well, unlike other musk based fragrances. One thing to note is that it can smell a bit farm-like if you put your nose against where it has been sprayed. It’s a very intense musk that projects clean, but smells a bit poop-ish on the skin. The poop smell isn’t intense at all, it’s extremely subtle, and it fades away within an hour. I think this is the body odor smell that everyone has gotten turned off by.

Citrus & Myrrh This was a hit for me. It immediately reminded me of Kirke by Tiziana Terrezi but No 10 has more musk and incense. On my skin it’s very citrusy and incense (specifically myrrh though it’s not listed as a note), overtop a sparkly musky dna. It has that same nose tingling sensation you get from BR540 and Another 13; I do see the resemblances however I don’t think anyone would mistake this for either when you’re wearing it. It’s very strong for a fresh profile - definitely beast mode. It’s a unisex scent through and through. I’d say this is a closer vibe to Accento by Xerjoff than BR540, they don’t smell similar at all but to me they are interchangeable in terms of occasion/uses. I loved it, it was exactly what I wanted in a fresh fragrance, to fill the room - which is so difficult to find in these types of profiles.

I just don't understand the reviews about stellar performance. I own both the EDP and the Elixir, and they both smell amazing, but they're so unbelievably weak. Even my good friend who has the most sensitive nose says he can barely smell the Elixir on me after 7 sprays. The EDP is slightly better. What a shame because I LOVE both of these fragrances. The Elixir could be my signature scent, but it's just a whisper on skin and clothes. I think TK has some serious batch variation issues because some people describe their fragrances as nuclear. Edit: after some time, EDP performance has improved. Got a lot of positive attention with 4 sprays. I think the air did it some good, still wouldn't describe it as nuclear but maybe even more time will get it there.

A couple years ago I picked up two bottles of this on a lark. This synthetic beast is nuclear and will make you enemies if you abuse it. Should've called it Chernobyl. Both bottles I grabbed are the oversized 240ml (8.12 oz) and I wanted to grab another one of these as a Christmas present for a friend. Are they no longer producing the 240ml? I can't find this size anywhere with the exception of one ridiculously priced one on eBay. Granted, one is not likely to even go through a 100ml of this juice in a lifetime without being disowned by everyone within noseshot, but the 240ml are fun because the size is ridiculous given the potency of the contents. Any feedback regarding the 240ml bottles being officially discontinued would be much appreciated.

Ok, simple set of ingredients...but wow. It was on the blotter, yet, it stopped me in my tracks. I saw the line in a store and had never sampled them. The employee started me off with a few different selections from the house. I tried No.1, No4, and No.11. All great scents. No. 10 DESIRE was what hit. I was floored. Simple, yet striking. I didn't get much of the zest in the opening. Those spices with that musky amber....Yes! If I wanted to splurge, I would have purchased a bottle on the spot. But for the cost, I hesitated. I want to wear it everywhere. 😁 potent stuff. Really a fantastic fragrance. I was walking around the store with the blotter in my hand and a clerk on another aisle said "Somebody is wearing Thomas Kosmala

Nose Note #952 Amazing. A more oriental take on BR540. Or in other words it's indeed something inbetween BR540 and Oud for Greatness. I'm surprised the notes don't mention saffron. And smelling it the musk is the last thing I'm thinking of. It's sweet and spicy, slightly medicinal just like BR540 is. A lot of saffron, but very different from Haltane and OfG, much more tolerable for me. An unexpected find for me. I'm surprised with the low score, because BR540 and OfG are big hits and this is not far worse. Unisex. Very strong, just great longevity, I'm very satisfed. Great sillage too. Just amazing. And considering the price!!! 8.5/10, perfect for BR540 lovers like me that wouldn't mind a more oriental take

On me this stays pretty linear from start to finish. I get the comparisons to BR540 and Instant Crush, but in only in that the linear note appears in both to me. However, I feel they have other aspects to them and are far less linear. There is something odd and intriguing about this fragrance, and I wear it because I enjoy it. I actually was initially overwhelmed by it, and left without purchasing it. After smelling it on the tester strip for about a week I knew I had to have it. I don’t see this as a mass pleaser or a compliment puller, though it has the potential. I enjoy it in the same way I enjoy MFK Gentle Fluidity. Though #10 is significantly different.

If you love TK No. 4, you are sure to love this iteration. In comparison, TK4 is more bright and citrus forward with the bitter orange blossom, but TK10 tones it down to a cozy, woody, and almost burnt-sugar like dry-down similar to BR540. I get more of that musk/ambroxan type smell from TK10 than TK4. If TK4 is your spring/summer perfume, TK10 should absolutely be fall/winter. All three of these fragrances have that angelic, heavenly quality about them and it might not be necessary to own all three, but I think I might just have to. TK just makes the most beautiful fragrances and I can't wait to try more! 100/10 :)

This stuff really does depend on the climate you’re wearing it in. I actually prefer the way it smells in the heat. The Saffron feels like it’s tamed due to the sweetness coming out more in the heat, making it more balanced. I’ve come to wear it when I just want to smell that cotton candy sugary sweetness note the DNA s known for. It’s so addictive. Definitely, do not over spray, you will go anosmic to it. 5 sprays is my limit. One on each elbow and forearm on the shirt, and one last one on the chest under the shirt. I consistently get more than 10 hours. So cool that they sell this in 8.5 oz bottles.

A strong, musky, earthy, spicy fragrance that i absolutely love. it feels like ive crawled out of the soil of a forest, in the best way possible. a shaman type smell. Its a strong base note fragrance, so it stays mostly linear, but it kind of vibrates troughout its lifetime with musk, soil and spices alternating between the main and side roles. It is a familiar masculine scent dna, but this one is special for my nose. I dont love it on my skin tho, but on the clothes it smells divine. I dont know what it is, but something in it just makes me smile like no other fragrance ever has.

Very synthetic I don’t personally get BR540 I get this very airy musky scent almost like pure iso e super with sweet amber touches Very long lasting As a niche scent it’s very liner and has no character But this is my most complimented fragrance it’s extremely mass appealing. I do not know one single person that doesn’t like this....except niche slobs For the price it’s 1000% worth it...I got a 8.1 oz (yes they make they that big) for only $140 with tax and the tester for the 8.1 oz are $117 Can’t complain...ever where you go you will get a compliment

I go nose blind to this stuff almost instantly, but it's so good. A more masculine version of BR540 and Another 13 mixed. I find that this stuff smells differently nearly every time I get a whiff. Sometimes it is a very sweet sugary woods, similar to BR540's saffron, and others it's a spicy musk like another 13. It's extremely loud for the first 2-3 hours before it tones down and settles into a very sweet musk. Sometimes you even get a whiff of a combination, but it's so strong and I wish I could smell it more often. 9/10

I had to grab NO.10 once I tried NO.4 (pre reformulated version). This wears beautifully on me, and on my skin I pick up the musk/amber accord (even more so than NO.4). The longevity on this is great and the sillage is where this SHINES! I went into Starbucks recently wearing NO.10 and a few of the baristas were asking where this good smell was coming from as soon as I entered. I hope they keep the original formulation on this because it’s beautiful!

Omg, she is a BEAST!! Like if you took Another 13 and made it a touch more animalic, maybe a bit more vetiver-y? But regardless it has that clean, musky, throughline, and lasts FOREVER on both clothing and skin. It can get a bit headache-inducing if you spray too much, so beware. There is a freshness from the lemon zest in the top though that doesn't make the scent overly heavy. Pretty afforable too, so glad I came across this scent!
