Musk Ōtone

The notes listed on the box are Top: Bergamot, Gardenia. Middle: Irish, Vanilla, Musk. Base: Sandalwood, Powdery Accord, Incense. This fragrance has a very soft makeup powdery note. This is powder done very well. It is elegantly blended with the sandalwood and incense to create a very unique and warm scent profile. There is a slightly sharp metallic musk alongside the powder, sandalwood, and incense. The fragrance lasts all day, but doesnt project off your body. I dont believe it is designed to at all. It created a nice warm bubble around your body that stays with you even through the heat. Initially I wasnt sure about this fragrance. But I keep coming back to it, and I enjoy it every time I do.

I had to spray this on at 630am so my husband didn’t have to smell it. Now 3 hours later, it’s ready to be reviewed! I’m going to give you the good news first: It’s a rich, deep and lovely musk with a sweet smoke finish and airy florals floating around it. The not-so-good news: The animalic note, at first, smells like my dog when she comes in from the cold. It has a sort of milky roundness to it. Warm Goldendoodle fluff with tendrils of cool air swirling between the curls. The best news: The animalic note does a wonderful job of anchoring all the other notes like a copper bracelet with colorful jewels on it. The jewels being the airy florals and powdery notes. The sweet smoke, I am certain, comes from the sandalwood. The sandalwood along with the animalic musk, lend a sweet-leather skin scent. A similar scent is Musk to Musk by Montale Paris, which in comparison, is brighter and cleaner, fresher and more astringent. I got my 2ml Musk Otone decant from Scentsplit and I will be using it up but I don’t need a bottle. It’s unisex, by the way.
