No4 Neon

This one came out of nowhere and ended up on my top 10 list of 2023. To me this fragrance is all about the Mango. There is fresh crispness from the citruses for the first couple of hours and as they settle down you'll pick up hints of ozonic and aldehydic properties but again all these notes are there to support the sweet but not-too-sweet, the tropical but not-too-tropical mango note. This is purely unisex and it's the best kind of unisex. On me, it smell unisex. Not terribly masculine but more importantly not feminine. On my wife, it never smells masculine. It's a great casual daytime scent you can wear all year (mango in winter might feel weird but it is a strong enough scent to hold up against the cold). Performance is outstanding. Like No4 Apres l'Amour edp, it's a sillage monster. I notice it in the air 4-5 hours after application. It'll last 10-11 hours on skin without breaking a sweat. Pretty incredible for this type of fresh scent. There are few fragrances I can compare this to. Like No 4 Apres l'Armour, it has an airy, ethereal quality but that's the only similarity to any br540 inspired fragrance. The first time I wore this, around hour 4, I caught a whiff and for a few minutes I convinced myself I was wearing Mind Games Blockade. During the mid, the mango smells quite a bit like the mango in the opening of Mind Games Blockade. But the mango is the only similarity. I have no other comparisons. If you like mango, try this. If you like fresh, unisex citrus fragrances with outstanding performance, try this. I think it's pretty special

No.4 Neon is an absolutely unique and delightful fragrance. It opens with a burst of juicy yet dry pomelo, a note that's underused as a star in perfumery. Another listed top note, yuzu, becomes evident as the fragrance develops. In the heart, the bitter yuzu plays a supporting role against the vividness of realistic melon and hints of mango. The melon accord conjures a perfectly ripe Tuscan melon, its aroma filling your kitchen as if it was meant to be sliced yesterday. Despite the fruity notes, this fragrance leans slightly more masculine to my nose. The dry yuzu prevents it from becoming too edible, evoking a hint of tonic water's quinine-like bitterness. Galbanum appears intermittently, adding another bitter touch without dominating. The base is radiant, atmospheric, and ozonic. Despite other reviewer’s opinions, I find that No.4 Neon bears no resemblance to BR540. While both may use high quantities of various materials for intense projection, No.4 Neon lacks the overdose of Ambroxan, Evernyl, and Ethyl Maltol that defines BR540. Their similarity lies solely in belonging to a new, innovative, and atmospheric fragrance category. For those like myself who live in tropical climates, this could be a standout signature fragrance. For all others, it’s worth giving it a try - especially in the summer heat.

This fragrance grew on me. Purchased it, did not like it, considered it a blind buy fail and put it away. Pulled it out in this Summer and now I love it. The opening is pineapple and citrus fruits with strong ozonic and aldehidic notes. I did layer it with a pineapple body butter so maybe that is why the pineapple seems strong. Very slight hint of mango and honeydew melom to my nose so maybe if I pair it with a mango or melon body butter, those notes would be a little more pronounced. It has a very very slight similarity to Instant Crush in the drydown-in the light and airy way it smells. It is a sillage monster on me without feeling too heavy or overbearing. Lasts forever. Beautiful.

This fragrance answers the question "What if Hacivat, but mango instead of pineapple, and a BR540-leaning-Instant-Crush drydown?" And you know what? It's a damn satisfying answer. I actually blind-bought this due to a sale, and I'm very pleased with the result. If you're not a fan of the fragrances I mentioned above, maybe give it a miss, but if you like them, and want to know how that would work as a complete scent package, definitely check this one out. 9/10 fragrance. Will likely wear throughout the spring and summer.

I like this scent a lot. I'm pretty picky about what I wear, but I enjoy this one. It definitely has a fizzy mango vibe, perfect imo for spring and summer. Longevity is very good, lasts a while on my skin (I would say roughly 8 hours or so). Projection is solid, creates a nice scent bubble, but I wouldn't say it's strong enough to annoy anyone around you. All in all, good scent and only costs around $100.

I’ve been looking for a fresh but sweet summer fragrance that fits me perfectly and I’ve finally found it. No.4 neon’s mango is so juicy and the yuzu adds that touch of citrus that I need. The Aldehydes make it just perfectly blended making an additional touch to its freshness. This is with out a doubt a 10/10 fragrance in my books and definitely needs more hype.

It’s a very nice fragrance. A compliment getter. I recieved 3 compliments within 5 hours wearing it. Best way to describe this fragrance is if Qaed Al Fursan (black bottle) & Mancera instant crush had a baby. Me personally I don’t get a mango smell from it. I get more of a pineapple. If u like instant crush (a baccarat dna) then it’s a safe blind buy!

I love this fragrance, opens up similar to to br 540, but with a fresher take i’d say, and as it drys down I get lots of the mango and melon on my skin. Projects nice for me, and leaves a nice scent bubble. Longest wise i’m getting anywhere from 6-8 hours maybe a close skin scent for up to 9. I find this Unisex down the middle, I love this

Oh , this is good. Its very fresh, fizzy, juicy, gives me cocktail vibes. Creates this cloud around you, very good sillage. It makes me so happy, not too sweet, not too sour, balanced well. Beast mode, one spritz on my hand and I get whiffs of it. Somebody mentioned gummy candy, yes gummy covered in sour coating. Delicious.

This stuff is fantastic to me. Smelled it without looking at the notes to see how I liked it, and it reminded me of something over and over again but couldnt remember what it was, but then it hit me... Blockade! It smells to me like Blockade with better performance. 10/10 to me

This and Mangonifiscent by Unique'e Luxury do it RIGHT!! Super good performance as well, going to treat myself for a full bottle. This is soooo good, don’t know how you can just put a solar note but it feels like I’m on a picturesque beach eating a fresh mango. 🥭

This was my best purchase of 2024. I can't put into words how great Neon is. Stellar performance and I have received a few unsolicited compliments from strangers. It's a bright fragrance with some legs, no thickness at all and lingers for days on clothes.

I only get Blockade...to me is a fruitier and more synthetic blockade....I wish that mango wasn’t so overwhelming sweet and fruity but it’s good a fragrance Performance it’s a beast 10-12 hours longevity and projects like crazy

This is skilled perfumery. It's fresh, yet strong and seems to last long. If this freshly lasts more than 8 hours, it was become my spring and summer signature. I will report back. It's smells amazing, like airy fruit.

Im genuinely suprised no one has said that this is similar to pacific chill, to me it is pacific chill with a less minty fresh opening and a dash of mango, great fragrance and lasts a while for what it is.

Genuinely might be the best fragrance I’ve ever smelled, fizzy, natural smelling mango that lasts forever yet still isn’t too heavy for hot weather. Perfection, especially for the $90 you can find it for.

I dont often reach out for sweet notes in fresh scents, but this one is very masculine sweet freshie, which is a total yes for me. Performance and proiection are great and its great summer one.

I really enjoy this fragrance, it is a sweet juicy citrus fragrance. If you're looking for a citrus fragrance to add to your summer rotation this is a great option and a good value.

I have finally found the ultimate fruity/juicy perfume. If you enjoy tropical juicy perfumes, this is for you! The only thing I dislike is the bottle

It all started off on a whim.... the search for a fragrance with a mango note that does not veer feminine. The two enticing ones I had locked in were TK No.4 Neon and Gisada Ambassador, and this would not be, one of the times, when I would fancy a blind buy. After the required due diligence, I settled on TK No.4 Neon, with Gisada registering as the somewhat worthy second option. So as it goes, is there a simple manner of depicting how TK Neon smells? Not really. To some, it can be typecast as a fruity version of TK No.4, inspite of the missing and unduly relevant amber, musk and woody notes. Pomelo a rich but underused fruity note can be detected in the initial whiffs, the mango & melon accords are quite prominent for the duration of the scent and the drydown, somewhat mystifyingly, does resemble the OG, albeit a bit sweeter. The synthetic "feel" which can be read in the other reviews might be attributable to the "Ozone and Solar" notes. I cannot fathom how a Solar note smells like, so I leave that to the alchemists. A captivating scent all in all and one also vouched for by the wife. All seasonal scent? Yes, viable for day or evening wear and any weather. An all-around-the-year scent. Unisex? Definitely Blind buy worthy? Sample before you go and splurge Performance? Very good, Longevity, more than 8 hours and even longer on clothes, with decent projection and silage.

Thomas Kosmala No4 Neon is a fragrance that’s known for its vibrant and lively character. Oh boy this is a beast. The tropical version of BR540. You get mango and melon with ambroxan. The fruits in here have a similar vibe to those in SHL God of Fire. But where GOF is more smooth and leans a bit more feminine, Neon leans sharp a bit masculine. Right after spraying there is an cold almost metallic note I get (ozonic perhaps) that I do not quite care for. Fortunately it goes away quite fast. The drydown is where you get the BR540 ambroxan but not as sweet and the mango stays with it. You need 2 sprays MAX and this lasts on fabric for days. It is available now on grey market for around $120 and is a bargain at that price.

Smelled blind. Overripe fruit bomb opening leads a tropical mango pineapple drydown. Tangy and tart. Smells like Byredo pump but with the Byredo the fruit smells borderline rotted with my skin chemistry. This one stays pleasant and has some horsepower on my skin. Big projection and longevity strong after 5 hours. I envision this on a woman wearing a sundress during spring or summer ⛱️ ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Scent 75/100

User Dimo_ has it pretty spot on. Fortunately, this lacks the sugary, cotton candy-like sweetness that is ever popular in Erba Pura, BR540, and God of Fire. Those scents have this crystallized, saccharine vein that course through the entire fragrance. No.4 is able to blend a dry, rindy yuzu with full-bodied melon & mango. I adore the base notes in this composition and find it helps add this atmospheric and airy membrane to the other accords.

Can definitely smell the BR540 base, more than the fruity and citrus notes. Safe blind buy only if you're OK with BR and want a lighter fruity version. I wish the fruit were more prominent.

It lacks that light, airy quality that would have distinguished it from other fruity fragrances Because of that, I evaluate it as a fairly standard fruity citrus scent. Within that category, I’d call it good or at least acceptable. It isn’t overly sweet and feels reasonably balanced. However, since it doesn’t stand out, I’d recommend buying a clone rather than the original, unless you can find the original at a very good price The mango is the dominant note Acceptable 7.4/10

I don't know what it is in the opening whether it is the pomelo or yuzu, but it comes off very synthetic, astringent, and almost intrusive to the nose. As it dries down the scent does open up into something a little nicer. It does have the horrible BR-540 opening that just feels fake, maybe that's what it is. I do think this could be absolutely gorgeous on a really hot day outside. The mango does start to shine through as it dries and you do get that light airy feel with a mango kiss. It is a decent cologne if you can pick it up for under $100.

Smells like a fun summer scent. I get a 90’s style fresh scent that could have been ahead of its time in that decade. A bit synthetic to me, but not awful. The Sport version of this may be slightly better, though that one also gives off a tiny bit of the dated vibe, to me. Not a full bottle purchase for me, glad I didn’t blind bought this one. Test before committing, despite the hype this one got.

sweet. musky. overrated. overpriced. smells amazing. but aromatix forbidden fruit does what this does, less refined or smooth, but better somehow. they coulda named it Tiki or Luau, tropical in the most elitist touristy way possible.

I never write reviews but this is crazy. This perfume has NOTHING to do with god of fire, syn.ergy(which I adore), cocktail marakuja or ACNE STUDIOS(!!!!). Seriously I have all these perfumes, people came in my house and I had them smell all of these and compare it with Neon. Literally not even close. I seriously think that comparing it with masterpieces like Acne Studios is a heresy. Neon smells clearly like Aventus for her with juuust the tiniest hint of mango which I can tell only because its one of my favourite notes and I can detect it right away. It lasts very long, it has great projection. My boyfriend says that it smells to him like a very basic male perfume which is actually true. It's aromatic like the description says, not tropical.

I dislike this fragrance for the same reason I dislike Erba Pura and Kirke. All of these fragrances have a wildly overpowering musky note and none of them actually smell like fruit. Neon does have a discernable mango note and wasn't too bad on paper. On my skin, it smells like wet towels left on the floor.

Opening is amazing...dry down is horrible. It's like a high school boys locker. Dirty socks and wet towels. And it's loud. That opening would save it if it stayed longer but smelling like dirty teenage boys is a horrible look

Definitely a "no" for me. Nice bright open, but something underneath is slightly nauseating to me. Whatever it is, I've gotten this before from a few other fragrances. I suspect there's a chemical compound that I'm sensitive to, so for that reason, I could never wear this. The drydown is surprisingly incensey from the galbanum. Overall, it's a disappointment to my nose.

This had been on my want list for a while, so when prices finally came back down to 100 bucks a bottle on some sites, I didn't hesitate to blind buy it. Unfortunately, I've gotta say I'm pretty disappointed. Not with the scent, just the performance. Everyone kept saying how strong this was, but I did 7 sprays and for the entire duration of the fragrance, I could only smell it with my nose directly on the back of my hand (one of the spots I always spray). You're probably thinking, "you're just going nose blind to it." Nope. Drove to my brother's house 45 minutes away right after spraying, and he couldn't smell it at all either. The scent itself is nice. I get the citruses and a little mango, along with the BR540-like backbone. It's been a while since I sold my bottle of Electimuss Trajan, but it kinda reminds me of that. So do Kosmala fragrances need time to mature or "macerate," or are people just greatly exaggerating this stuff's projection? I'll hold onto it for a couple months before deciding whether or not to sell it, but once again I've been much happier with my middle eastern purchases than I have been with my niche purchases this past year or so.

I got this on the way and I'm beyond excited, a coworker showed me this fragrance some time around a year ago and I just remember it being sensational. As of right now I have zero scent memory of it but reading reviews it gives me some idea of what to expect and I remember my reaction to it and I really expect to recreate that moment once this is in my hands. It's like a half blind buy for me I'm just excited asf, for sure gonna come back with my full thoughts on this. Rating prediction: 8.8/10 Update: I got it in today and oh my god it’s everything i wanted it to be. It’s just this bright juicy tropical and musky fragrance and it’s absolutely beautiful. This is going to be my summer go to once the season comes around but i’ll even wear this in the cold this is definitely my favorite mango fragrance i have 9/10

I think that this scent is gorgeous. Mango tropical freshie with this brown sugar and musk base. I would rank this high got a lot of compliments too BUT 8 months in this smells like armpit musk. Some fragrance mature and macerate into deeper richer versions of themselves. But not this. All was fine until one day, after just getting out the shower I hit myself with a few sprays and realized instantly this wasn't what I remembered. Ruined my after shower glow and I had launder the shirt I had on. If I wouldn't have been late I would have reshowered. My advice on this scent is wear it during the season But be prepared to give it up after.

Wow. For me, mango is such a unique and novel note used in a composition. No.4 Neon is like a mango lassi (Indian mango smoothie beverage) in fragrance form. Good one! I've just discovered this brand tonight. The fragrance associate must've shown me 4 or 5 scents from this brand. I'm very surprised (in a good way) and have nothing bad to say about any of them, though I've only briefly tested on paper. Still, I have my hopes up about this brand and want to see them go far. Can't wait to continue exploring their offerings.

Amazing stuff. Very potent and strong. I don't find it synthetic at all, it smells like a fresh pineapple with some fresh mango and an airy feel in the background. In the mid drydown I start to detect a slight 'alcohol' note which gives off the vibe of a fruit cocktail. I agree with the review below that it smells similar to Kajal Lamar. I also find it quite like Tropiques by FDB, minus the floral and rose notes. Would be a perfect signature scent for anyone in the summer. Unisex leaning slightly masculine.

Best perfume I've come across in 2025. It's a true summer scent - bright, fruity and slightly fizzy. It's easy to wear and pull off, strong and long lasting. Upon spraying it for the first time, it instantly brought my mind to the refreshing sweetness and fruitiness of a Calippo Icecream. For a similar vibe, but with a smoother blend and a more feminine touch (unfortunately higher price point as well), I'd recommend Chilimlka by Vilhelm Parfumerie.

It has the same mental “mango” fruitiness of Blockade that some brands what to sell you but without the citruses. It's not very complex nor strong. As it dries down, the "mango" starts to fade into a synthetic sunscreen accord and the astringent musks from no. 4 and a touch of far in the distance veramoss and maltol from BR540. Performance is not as good as No. 4... I didn't like it, it's very meh.

Went into Dillards today and got to try all the TKs. They had all of them under a plastic shield and when I took it off I instantly realized why when I lifted it and a horrible synthetic smell washed over me. I got no4 in a blind buy a while back and hated it because of how synthetic it smelled. This was no exception. This dude shouldn’t be making frags.
