Sève Nouvelle

I've wanted to make sure I review this because Seve Nouvelle attracts astonishingly little interest. I bought No. 2 purely because I found it on sale for like $50 and I'd wanted to try Thomas Kosmala. Upon trying it out, I absolutely hated it. As others have noted, it's earthy and leathery, and that threw me off for a fragrance whose name means "New Sap." I couldn't imagine wanting to smell like this all day. But I set it aside for a few days, tried again, and had a different experience--not because it changed, but because my expectations did. I have grown to love this fragrance. It's very hard for me to compare to anything else, except that it sort of fits in the same "meditative" realm for me as Lattafa Dynasty. Maybe the cashmerewood/suede? It's smooth and soft, clean but darker. It is mysterious, and the color it evokes is a deep purple or brown; it's mature, but not old. It can be dressed up or informal, but it's going to feel weird in a t-shirt or hoodie. This is, to me, a fall scent, bringing to mind dim forests and heavy flannel or tweed and the dark wood of a cabin or old English country manor house. It's the middle of winter now, and I find myself wearing it less in the bitter cold, but some days it really hits the spot, particularly as I find my taste evolving away from sweet gourmands.

This is very unique and truly crowed pleasing. before sleep i always spray it on my wrist. Great for fall day & night. Thomas kosmala has done great job to counter all odds. must go through this fragrence and TK 04- Apre's L'amore. I cant stop writing about this brand and fragrences. simply in short worth the price !!!! great performance and people will fall in love with it around you.

tuscan leather DNA made for spring/fall daytime (def still wearable at night tho). a bit sharp, a bit airy, to me the tone is aggressively saffron - moreso than TL. leathery, a bit woodier in the dry down, and a bit vegetal as well. minimal sweetness; any amount there is really there to make the profile palatable. if you are familiar with cashmeran you will undoubtedly pick it out here as well, contributing to the sharpness & providing a bit of a cooling nature to the profile. smells more appropriate the better you look/are dressed, similar to actual TL. if you're rocking 4 sprays plus a random t shirt and some sweatpants theres a good chance this will wear you. but if you are well presented... you can wear this just about anywhere. I've worn it at a job interview before. it smells professionally unprofessional. just ease on the side of caution with sprays. for as a strong as it smells in the opening, honestly a room filler at first, on me it does stabilize relatively quickly & in total only ever lasts around 6 hours, maybe 7 if I'm generous? personally I don't really ever need it to last any longer so I'm fine with that. picks up the line of androgyny and plays jump rope with it. not even a unisex label is fitting. there are undoubtedly people that would find this too masc or too femme for their own tastes. tbh i find it much more dependent on confidence & comfort, something I think also holds true about tuscan leather. this is all to say you should probably try this before you buy it. or don't who cares just blind buy it thats what i did its pretty fun tbhhh ^_^

Interesting, really interesting. Everything feels so held down by that wood-like scent towards the tail? There's a floral note trying to peep through, a citrus, some spice, then the wood's like guarding from stepping too far forward. That wood seems to be the star because of how it commands all the other notes to stay put. It reminds me of those ballpoint pens that are unscented but just have that good strong ballpen smell lol but much warmer and clearly wooden. A very mysterious scent, but not dark mysterious. More of, it's really hard to pin point what's going on, but also you kind of understand? There's gravity in it but it's also kind of light. At some point I was ready to scrub it off because it was for some moments reminiscent of a clean car, but it morphs back to that alluring wood. Confusing & intricate! Definitely not a blind buy but a worthy experience I would say 👍

This one is a little more sweet and ambery than I thought it would be. It is not sweet in a gourmand sort of way; it seems to have a bit of a "green" feel to it. Longevity on both my skin and clothing is very good. I could see this being too cloying in the summer with a heavy trigger finger. The bottle is simple and somewhat elegant. The atomizer is fantastic.

Definitely reminds me Black Saffron but lighter and I'd say way more airy Radiates like hell ))))) Price tag is just crazy ) But if I had a choice between BS and SN, I'd choose this one

Its powdery smell is very prominent and more inclined as a ladies fragrance, sweet flowery ladies fragrance. I like it, but won't buy it again

به محض اسپری،یک رایحه قوی انیمالیک حس میشه (کمی یادآور نُت ایمورتل بود برام) که بسیار گذرا و ناپایدار هست و خیلی سریع صحنه رو ترک می کنه و تغییر ماهیت میده از همون ابتدا یک چرم قدرتمند بینی رو درگیر خودش می کنه که زعفران به وجه اسپایسی اش هم عمق می بخشه پچولی و لابدانوم با هم حرکت می کنند و مثل یک تیم؛تشکیل فضایی بالزامیک،آمبری و اسپایسی رو می دهند به طوری که حس خاکی_گیاهی از پچولی با وجه چرمی_بالزامیک_اسپایسی لابدانوم؛افسار عطر رو به دست می گیرند که چرک به نظر میان چرکی ابتدا کار با چیزی که در وسطای عطر حس میشه متفاوته و تا حدودی بوی چرم دباغی شده رو دریافت می کنید ادویه ها نقش بسیار پررنگ ای دارند و رایحه رو تند و تیز کرده اند؛چیزی شبیه به ادویه ای که از ترکیب چند دانه مختلف تهیه شده بی شباهت به توسکان لدر نیست گرچه هیچ کدوم از این دو کار باب سلیقه من نیست اما،این عطر رو خیلی بیش تر از توسکان لدر می پسندم بین اون همه چرم و ادویه و روایح گزنده؛یک شیرینی خفیف اما واضح حس میشه که بالانس خوبی ایجاد کرده و همین نقطه یکی از بخش هایی بود که باعث میشه از این عطر بیش تر از توسکان لدر خوشم بیاد.ضمن این که فضای انیمالیک اینجا وجه تمایز دیگری با توسکان لدر به حساب میاد به مرور هرچی به انتها نزدیک میشیم،رایحه شبیه به فالکون لدر میشه و در اصل میشه این عطر رو بیش از توسکان لدر،به فالکون لدر شبیه دونست ******************* scent:7/10 longevity:10/10 sillage:9/10 purchase value:4/10 ******** overall:7.5/10

In the opening, I get a strong saffron and pink pepper duo. Shortly after, it will let appear a nice champaca note that will round the edges and give an overall impression of raspberry. The base is more blurry, with an ambery patchouli. Excellent performance with strong projection and immortal-level longevity. Might seem nearly harsh in the opening, but the drydown is very interesting. Very unique, even if a bit synthetic smelling. As much as I like it, I wouldn't have paid more than $100 for this one. A small love for me. Best in colder seasons, unisex leaning masculine, 25+. Edit: after several wearings, this is a no for me. But it's definitely a great option for who looks for an 'airy' take on TF Tuscan Leather, with a bit more freshness.

i was so shocked at how different this is from the accords shown here. On my skin the grapefruit is so prominent, and I love it it’s almost like biting into a juicy piece of fresh sweet grapefruit, but i wish there were a little bit more of bitterness. Instead this is offset by flowery powdery notes. The drydown is a dry floral soapiness that I dont really care for, I didnt get any spice or warmth. It also reminded me a little bit of CK Be after a few hours. Summer daytime outdoor fragrance for me. I can see myself reach out for this if i want to cosplay a girly girl once in a while.

Nice saffron in the spotlight with some spicy pepper blend, on the bed of cashmerewood. This is a very smooth and soft mix. I can also smell some light labdanum in the background, giving dept to the tone. Im not used to a saffron centred fragrance, but this one has some oriental feeling. Both the longevity and silage are extreme. Still get a whiff of it after a shower and it projects crazily for the first two or three hour.

What I enjoyed about this scent was that it was all kinds of weird. I don't think I've ever smelled a champaca flower before in my life. Unfortunately, I'm not sure that I ever want to do so again. The overall effect of the peppery resinous perfume was very woodsy--but almost like a fairytale mystic forest. Interesting, but scary!

This smells incredibly natural and like you are in a deep lush forest, even a little soil in there, resinous. I’ve smelled a similar profile in Hawthorne’a Green Cypress, and also Source Adage’s C’i’aan which are both very natural and earthy smelling. Even Nue Company’s Forest Lungs is something reminiscent to this. All these don’t share a ton of notes but I’m starting to disregard note breakdowns in many cases. I’m even getting a similarity to Rook Perfumes’ Undergrowth, and although no mint is listed in Seve Nouvelle a distinct herbal quality is noticeable in the way herbal soily mint is typically presented, without the cooling edge but your nose almost tricks you into smelling it in a way. Very nice and if you enjoy lush realistic forest-like scents you will like this. The pine resin smell is strong initially but it settles beautifully and has a quality to it that is more well rounded than other rougher pine and realistic woodsy and earthy frags. Edit 6/22: Yea I love this DNA. As mentioned Ive smelled others like this but this is one is just executed to perfection. Interestingly I also get a scent reminding me of Roja Apex, with its green qualities and labdanum, but this isn’t quite so leathery. Edit 11/4: wow smelling PdM Godolphin today it is so close to this TK 2, super interesting!

First sniff from my sample felt like a leather bomb, very Yuqawam / Tusca leather, but the actual juice is far more tame. Thankfully!! Softer suede, but still oomphy with the saffron, the citruses brighten this up more than the raspberries in the others, I feel a touch more floral here and some powdery orris beneath the surface. A much much lighter version of what I was expecting. To me however it's still more saffron and leather than I am used to and like in my scents. Wearable, unisex, and less overwhelming than tl / yuqawam. Something a little nutty on the drydown. Very interesting, but overall it's not the scent profile I tend to get super excited about! Will keep testing to see if it fits different weather / hormonal conditions but, i do have a generous sample for swap if anyone's up for it! UK.

This is a CEO's Dior Sauvage. A beautiful burst of Grapefruit and Pinkpepper to begin the composition that dries down to a base of Patchouli,Amberwood and some delicate florals. This is something that gets easily into an Amouage or a TF Private bottle.

If you have ever smelled fresh tobacco leaf this smells exactly like that. Natural pure clean earthy and a lil dirty at the same time.
