Star Chaser

This is a hard fragrance profile to describe. You get neroli, aldehydes, some sweetness. Bright, airy and synthetic is the best stab at how I’d explain what I smell to someone who has never smelled this profile. But if you’ve smelled Minotaure, Nikos Sculpture, Dunhill Red, or B9 Lafayette Street you’ve smelled this framework. Of these, Star Chaser is likely a close second on my preference behind vintage Minotaure and Star Chaser is more wearable today as it’s got more modern facets. It’s not screechy like Sculpture or Dunhill Red. And it has a marine and sweet base that I prefer to Lafayette. Longevity is 6-8 hours with noticeable projection for a while but I go nose blind after 45 minutes. An 8/10. Really nice and for $75-80 it’s cheaper than most grey market designers now with far better quality.

I have to agree with @flare brady below. This is a more airy and fizzy, crystalline version of Lafayette Street by Bond No 9. I love BN9 LS (although it’s not a new DNA) but the price is outrageous! Despite the price, I went through 5 bottles but I see no need to pay for BN9’s iteration of this DNA because of Star Chaser. It’s exactly the same but better (if that makes sense) it’s the same DNA but smoother, more diffusive and transparent, and smells more refined. LS smells screechy and too dense compared to Star Chaser. I never thought this about LS UNTIL I smelled SC but the the fact still remains. SC is a cheaper, better quality and blend and more pleasant version on LS so it’s a no brainer. If you love LS you’re absolutely gonna love SC, 1000% safe blind buy. Trust me.

some peeople are saying this does not have good perfromance, but are comparing it to no4 which literally last days on clothes. i personally dont mind if it only lasts 6-7 thats is plenty good for the price and the sillage is great. This honestly is a better lafayette street. its still a bit screechy like lafayette street, but a lot less imo. This smells a lot smoother and definitely more wearable. neither of these scents are scents that you should be smelling with your nose directly on your arm, but at like 2 inches away this smells phenomenal which is more of what you'll be smelling from the sillage anyway. theres literally no need to get lafayette as this is just it but morerefined. wearble any time of the the year and a friendly office scent/any occassion.

Wonder how MFK gentle fluidity silver is not listed as the main 'reminds me of' scent or even listed at all? because this is EXTREMELY similar, nearly a clone id say, i love GFS and i tried this at the mall today and thats all it made me think of, ive tried Lafayette street and i guess it could be comparable but thats muchh warmer and heavier of a profile, this is very airy and clean laundry scent with zero leather type smell, not sure why ppl are listing that, i absolutely love this but its a tad sweeter and dare i say has better performance, it fits the same usability as GFS would, which is in my top 5 most complimented scents, 8/10 cant fully rate it since i just sprayed it on my arm a few times at the mall but it lasted easily 6+hrs

Man I love this. I knew I would like it but I really wasn’t expecting to like it as much as I do. Maybe I’m biased because I’m a sucker for anything with that Lafayette St/Sculpture DNA but this is my favorite of that whole ilk. It’s a fresher take on it, and I think the twist really elevates the entire scent profile. A bit synthetic but not in a bad way. It also lasts for the entire day on me but it’s not a massive room filler where you’ll choke everyone out. You’ll be noticed for sure, and the protection is great, it’s just never overwhelming (imo). 9/10, this is fantastic. I have around 130ish bottles and I can tell I’ll be neglecting quite a few and using this a lot.

The opening is my least favorite part of the scent, specifically because of the Sea Notes. The saltiness is not offensive or anything but the green apple and neroli are standouts. Very clean and pleasing to the nose. The Sea Notes do disappear after 30 minutes but they are prominent in the opening. The opening has best projection. Can confirm after 2 hours in an office setting that the fragrance becomes a skin scent unless you overspray. Even on clothing, you will be hard-pressed to smell the fragrance after three hours. You can definitely find this on discounters for below retail and I would suggest you at least try it out if you are a fan of the Lafayette Street DNA.

Starchaser is the best version of this dna to me . Wildcard smells good but the overly potent strength of it constantly hitting my nose throughout the day from only 5 half sprays made the wearing experience bad. Lafeyette Street was good and I finished a small bottle but it didn’t perform that well on my skin so I had to spray more. Starchaser is the perfect middle ground. It’s a stronger performer than Lafayette Street while not being overwhelmingly strong to wear like wildcard but it is more fruity. I’ve been wearing 6 sprays of this when I go out and have been getting beautiful wafts and compliments 😉 Got this on discounters for $100. This is a 9/10 ⭐️

I can’t help but fall in love with this fragrance. It is the most glorious fragrance I have ever smelled a blend between the citrus in the skin of an orange and a green but juicy slightly sweet green apple. This fragrance is so amazing also having a not too sweet but vanilla background as it dries down. As the name suggests it’s star chaser, a scent of someone who lives to see the stars. This scent brings back memories of star gazing with my cousins on the top of a mountain, so relaxing so peaceful but also so breathtaking at the same time every second not waisted in admiring.

Short review. 9.2 for me, and my favorite aquatic fragrance for the summer. Imagine megamare, but less animalic, and with less rough rocks and moss. This one still has that personality of a niche aquatic fragrance, but much more manageable for different occasions compared to megamare. Well priced for a niche fragerance of this complexity in my opinion. I also have to be honest, I dont really get the apple at all, unless it is blended super well. The dry down does slightly transition to a sandalwood smell, but theres definitely still aquatic notes in it after almost 12 hours.

My only regret is not buying this one from Istanbul departure Duty Free. I couldn't find this in Bali or Arrival in Istanbul. I can't forget how beautiful this Star Chaser was on me. I still miss this and definetly not missing another chance with my next trip! Gorgeous, fresh, clean, soapy, amazing feelings. Having a green tea in a garden somewhere in Italy where lemon trees are blooming. Wearing white linen. The vibe is this.

I work at a jump park and wore it to work and even tho it stinks in there people gave me compliments in the scent and i gave the sample to a kid, it lasts 8 hours in my experience and projected at least arms length. I dont get how the scent of it is for summer when it gets kinda burnt out and un able to smell , personally in the winter weather it shined and cut through the cold weather. my rating : 8.7/10

Maybe it’s my nose..... but this is a green apple bomb! It’s all I can smell. It’s nice but almost cloying. I loved my sample, that’s what made me buy. But after a few full sprays I just can’t wear alone. I am going to experiment with layering it with something like Hero or Mercedes Land. But as an Apple perfume you can’t go wrong. I feel you could call this beast mode if it’s what you’re after.

Lafayette Street but the sweetness/fruity is more tone down It pretty much smells the same. I just feel like bond no 9 is way stronger but honestly, I can see this being more appealing to that one and longevity and projection is amazing so for the price this is 1000% more worth it I think that bond no 9 for the smell is overpriced

I love this interpretation of bond no.9 Lafayette street more than the og. Not as sweet and the marine notes add an interesting twist to the dna. I also have Jo Milano wild card and at first I thought that wc was the better buy because of the price but star chaser smells better. Amazing buy, they actually did it better.

I don't know how to describe it but it smells like fresh clothes and linen shirts. When I first smelled it i thought it smelled like minimalism in a bottle but its so much better than that. The neroli and aquatic notes are SOOOO good. I literally would sell my first born child for a lifetime supply

This is an all year fragrance good for any time, for me it is almost a laundry style scent dna lead by a green apple core but warmed and spiced up by a woody and Tonka bean accord. Longevity is roughly 6 hours and sillage is strong for the first 3 hours but falls flat after that.

This fragrance house is totally underrated. I love the green apple, and fresh air I smell with this fragrance. It smells like eating a granny smith apple by the edge of a beach in the morning. I remember going to Costa Rica a few years ago and it reminds me of the air there.

One of the most unique and refreshing colognes I’ve ever smelled! While its longevity may not be the best for $230, it’s a perfect blend of summery and springy notes with a touch of woody sophistication that makes it chic and distinctive. I absolutely love it!

Such a unique fresh(not like generic shaving cream fresh-classy fresh) rich, elegant, amazing smell. Soapy without overwhelming flower scents. Great to gift husbands and dads but not only man, great to wear office. Love this one.

Listen to me, DON'T GET BOND NO.9 LAFAYETTE STREET, get this instead. Perry Ellis did it first in the 2000, Bond came and steal it, Thomas came and make it more affordable. Thank me later. It is 100% the same.
