Super Amber

This is my first real blind buy because I already love No.4 and No.10, so I figured I’d love this one as well given my penchant for gravitating toward molecular amber scents. I paid $110 from FragranceNet. To me, this is a tiny bit too incensy I guess you could say - I dont really know how to explain. I like it and will wear it for sure, though. It’s an easy to wear skin scent that anyone could pull off, but something leans a little too much like incense here. For comparison, I am in love with things like No.4, BR540, Nemat Amber Oil, and Another13. I think those all have something cozy and beautiful and comforting about them that No.11 just slightly misses the mark on. I won’t repurchase this one after my bottle is done - I’ll save my money for a backup of No.4. 7.5/10

A very enjoyable Amber for all seasons. Longevity is all day and silllage is moderate. Never overwhelming with this scent but it will stick out due to its uniqueness. I enjoy layering it with Thomas Kosmala #4 Apres L'Amore. It becomes something completely amazing and interesting

Maybe I'm noseblind or maybe it was a bad batch but I didn't smell anything. Literally none except a slight alcohol whiff. After 1h I could smell something very soft and tender, very close to skin. Definitely not worth the money for me.

I'm really sad about this perfume. I loved it at first. I really, really want to love it. But it degrades rapidly. When I first bought it, it had a very strong performance. It was also the best, most comforting scent I had ever smelled. I thought it would be my signature scent. Maybe I would layer other perfumes on top, but I thought I would be wearing this the rest of my life. But after a few weeks, the performance dropped hard. I had to spray more to get it to last for hours, and people suddenly couldn't smell it on me. I let it macerate for a month, hoping that it would improve the performance. It didn't. The performance was even worse, and the perfume didn't even smell the same. It was like most of the notes had been stripped away in that month it was hiding in the drawer. . I didn't buy a knockoff, either. I bought it from Dillard's full price. It has Made in France on the bottom, and many others have mentioned the bottles Made in France having worse quality control. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Old Review~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I love this perfume! Normally my skin is like a black hole for perfume. When I spray it on, it’s gone in less than a minute. Even other people can’t smell it on me. But with this perfume, it lasts all day and even lingers the next day! A very faint remnant even remains on clothing and bedsheets even after washing. When I layer this with other perfumes, it seems to make them last longer, too. Even when I spray this on before bed and add the other perfume in the morning, it makes the new perfume last longer. I’m not sure how it works exactly. The perfume smells very unexciting when it’s on paper, but very different on skin. On my skin, it is very strong at first with the woody notes. Then it turns more calming and sweet. I have limited experience, but I would call this a Vivaldi. With one spray it has a good sillage. With two sprays people said it wasn’t too strong. When Thomas Kosmala did a talk at one of my local Dillard’s, he said it’s great for layering with his No. 1 Tonic Blanc. I don’t have that, but I do have an indie perfume that has honeysuckle, lemon, orange, sweet patchouli, and neroli notes. It smells absolutely heavenly with TK No. 11. It’s a very cheering scent that lifts my mood. It may be best to spray the TK No. 11 several hours before layering, or else the TK No. 11 may overpower the other scent, depending on its strength. A lot of people talk about the TK made in France and the TK made in England being different. My bottle was bought at Dillard’s earlier this month and made in France.

Either I just bought a fake from Jomashop or TK has completely ruined this fragrance. It smells nothing like I remember a couple of years ago. Now, it smells like a cheap dose of ambroxan or Iso-e and nothing else. 6.21.25 Update: A couple of months later and I'm noticing more of the amber scent that I wanted. It's still not as strong or as ambery as I remember, but it's better. Maybe letting a fragrance macerate or mature is actually a thing and not just B.S.

I bought The "England" Version of Apres L' Amour from this line & had her make me a sample of this at my local dept store. I LOVE it! I am enjoying this & only this tonight, but tmoro I need to do a wrist to wrist. I know I detected a difference in the store. But right now, I swear this is giving me 90% the same scent. Am I crazy? Now, I will say, there seems to be a HUGE difference in the Apres L'Amour from England & France & the online discounters only have France. NO WAY was I going there, I wanted the BEAST. Someone said they moved their company from England to France & reformulated. But this was said in a review from 2022, & My bottle is the England recent release, so that makes no sense. IS THERE anyone out there that knows if there's a France Version of this floating around out there that is watered down? I don't want it. There's a chance I may order from somewhere that accepts returns if it's weak, but apparently France did a number on the Apres L'Amour. I wonder if this one has the same story. It is a stunning scent! You will see both compared to BR540 & I have hated that perfume since it came out MANY years ago. One tiny change & I can detect & it makes a huge difference to my nose. Very sensitive. I don't like any of the Clouds either. Gross. Next Day. Wrist to wrist, giving time to cleanse my nose before sniffing each, back & forth, lol bc they're both sooo dang good. I swear they are so similar. I'd say now 97% at least. BOTH came from the same dept store I bought Apres L'Amour from, same time. I just didn't ask if 11 was from England, I am assuming it was & I don't know if there's a difference. So, I found a deal on a discounted website I have ordered from many times. 100 ML of this beauty. I will also find out if my sample is from England & come back & let you all know if the bottle OTW smells the same, & where it's from, so you will know. This was apparently HUGE with A L'Amour, so, we need to know ;) Between the 2, they are both amazing, this is big coming from someone that detests BR540, bc I don't think they smell alikes at all. No 4 is a dark chewy Ambery Candy. No 11 (sample) is a deep incensey amber. Should have 100 Ml of 11 ordered online this week, & I will update details & opinion. Update. France Version smells like a body mist compared to Englands. Horrible. Smells like a weak BR540. Lasted 5 mins, different smell.

A very soft, beautiful, pleasant amber fragrance. It is a true amber in its light spicy powderiness, with some nice sweetness and warmth. The profile is VERY light, it’s not your nose. You will want to spray more if you want to strengthen projection and sillage, but it does last well! It’s a more feminine fragrance, with its male counterpart being Mercedes Benz Club Black. They do smell very similar, and are both incredible while acting differently. Super Amber is an amazing fragrance for scent neutral locations where nobody will ever have a bad thing to say about it as it is such a soft profile and inoffensive, and it’s also soft enough to not give anyone a negative reaction. I think it will shine more in cool/cold weather too and will have to update on that. Edit 4/24/24: still in love with this fragrance and love layering with it even more even though I love how it molds with my skin chemistry over wear just oozing a comforting, sensual, and soft ambery character. An incredible unisex weapon to use alone or in tandem. I could even compare it to Prada Black for men and have converted a few Prada Black users to it. Just an incredible scent and over the past 2 years TK has no doubt become a favorite house of mine.

It was my mistake to buy a full bottle at dillards for $220 plus tax. Please take my advice and always buy on discounted websites. I blanked and swiped my card lol. Anyways, this scent is very likable and signature worthy. This brand is a crowd pleaser because they mostly all lean towards being unisex and have that metallic bacarat dna. N4 is my favorite by far and N11 is the second one I fell in love with from the line. It’s a pure amber fragrance and leans like a your skin but better fragrance. If you like santal 33 or 11, this is on the same line as being a molecule scent. These scents aren’t floral, gourmand, sugary or specific to a category. It’s a very easy grab for everyday because of how simple the composition is. I really enjoy this and it brings me calmness when I spray it on. I definitely think it’s worth $110 on fragrance net but not worth the $220 price tag at retailer stores.

I just got a sample of this one today and I IMMEDIATELY ordered a full size bottle from Jomashop. Now I'm just hoping the full size impresses me as much as the sample b/c we all know they can differ. This fragrance is like a quintessential cashmere sweater -- warm, cozy, sensual, and inviting. It is slightly sweet and slightly incense-y. I don't know how else to explain it, but I absolutely LOVED it the second I put it on AND at the dry down. That is a very rare occurrence for me. Usually I like a fragrance at first OR at the dry down. This one impressed me with both. An automatic yes for me. It is a unisex scent, but I think it leans slightly feminine. Or maybe that's just what I want it to be. LOL :) I rate this a 9/10, with a point off for somewhat poor longevity. Other than that, it's amazing.

@jonesox As someone who orders fragrances from Jomashop on a weekly basis, I can confirm they do not sell fakes. The only way I can see you getting a fake would be if it was sold to someone and they returned a fake, Joma didn't notice and then it was resold. But the chances of that are so slim plus, no one is really faking TK fragrances. They're inexpensive as it is plus they're not a well-known house outside of frag comm. My guess is your nose is picking up different aspects of the fragrance now compared to a few years ago. That can happen with age, hormone changes, and other factors. Either way, I know it's frustrating to not remember a fragrance smelling the way it did before. I've experienced it many times myself as well.

I like this. Enough to buy a bottle (discounter). It smells like what Molecule 02 should smell like, if I were ever able to smell it for more than 10 seconds and only during a blue moon. It smells like Ambroxan. A little sweet, a little fluffy, a little marine, lots of people will say musky but they mean musky in an ambrox kind of way, not in an actual musk way. It’s a very comforting, almost vanillic sort of smell. It wears close to the skin and has medium longevity. Nice for layering with specific other scents that are complementary.

A beautiful your skin but better fragrance - Amber edition. The addition of benzoin is a nice touch. This fragrance feels very light and airy but if you were to tone down the incense and cedar from Governor’s island you’d be left with this. Also does remind me just a touch of Mercedes-Benz club black. This is easy to wear and isn’t heavy like a lot of the other TK’s I’ve tried and own.

I'm not sure which is the better comparison: Diet Encens Suave or Encens Suave-essenced La Croix (Essence Suave?). This isn't totally a criticism. It's nice having a more summer-appropriate version of a fragrance I enjoy, and I look forward to finishing my sample. But I won't be buying a bottle.

#11 Super Amber is one of my favorite fragrances. On my skin, it’s a warm amber with the perfect amount of sweetness. I wear it both alone and paired with #4. Two sprays of #11 and one spray of #4 is the perfect combination and smells just like the new #4 Elixir.

Yes, very light, very neutral, comfy fragrance. Very safe to wear, even fresh amber! Musk is not listed, but it feels quite sweet and soft musky amber. Nice scent! Love it for summer and private events. 👍💝🕊️🌿

The male version of Xerjoff Elle. As a compliment of course. Amber + dry woods + muted smoke ❤️
