I'm not an expert and I don't have a lot of perfumes but I really love this. It reminded me a lot of my late mother-in-law and when I looked at the notes I realized it was the tobacco, and another strong scent, maybe musk, because she was a heavy smoker and wore a lot of musky perfumes (this was in the 80s) to try and hide the tobacco smell. Guess it's a bit of 80s nostalgia for me.

A nice fragrance, i assume there are others out there already that smell like this as i get some vibes from a fragrance that my girlfriend wears, (it must be the amber in the scent). I like this and i would wear it in the winter and autum and maybe springtime. Would i purchase it - not sure, i am sure there are others already out there which have similar vibes, maybe i shall come back to it at a later date.

smells like BR540 with a cedar opening. its actually quite good

One of the nastier ones in my Thompson Carter discovery set. I resisted the urge to scrub in case it developed well. No change but luckily it lasted less than 30 minutes.

Had to wash it straight off. It reacted badly with my skin, like a few other Thomson Carter fragrances. Smelled like rubber tyres to me.

I found the dna and the whole thing boring, but after a few wears I must say, the drydown is amazing...
