Smoke & Mirrors

Tried this a while ago. Ended up just tossing it out. It is a very linear scent. It starts off with a bang like spicy wood and musk but then fades into a mixture of wood and leather. It's not my favorite combo but the Leather is more of what shines on my skin and that note sadly gives me a headache. It's not terrible and it is definitely not the best.. It will not attract all the women like the commercials or ads you see on Facebook or something. It is a decent scent and i would give it a solid 6.5 out of 10. There are many better options out there. More that are in the same price range that are way better quality. I would go with a sample if you have the urge to try it.

I tried a sample today, i must admot the advertisement was the only reason i purchased the discovery set, so far i have only tried this one, i ike it and it suits my skin chemisrty, on my skin it is definately a masculine scent, i get spices and some leather, not much if any of the musk, its a good fragrence on me, would i purchase it, i am not sure, depends if i find anything else similar at a better price. Overall i would give it 6.5 / 10 , maybe if i wear it in places with more females then i might give a better score.

I own this. I fell suspect to clever online marketing that preyed on my desire to appear more attractive to the opposite sex. I wore this to a couple of dates and it is a nice scent. This is a bare like and not a love for me. Don't fall for the marketing B.S.

Real bad melted plastic smell in the opening. Sickly, milky sandalwood but the leather comes through after about 30mins which is OK. Would not pay full price for this - I got a sample vial - as it is quite average and unimpressive.

It smells good, but longivity is very poor. Even not on my skin. I smelled my skin after 2 hours, its gone. And forget about projection, sillage - Zero. No one else will notice this perfume. I am disappointed with its misleading marketing.

Not my cup of tea. The fragrance is presented on the Thompson and Carter website as masculine and not unisex. However to me the fragrance is very feminine/unisex. It doesn't feel like anything special and when settled it smells like Paco Rabbane Ultraviolet. On my body it just lacks charisma all together. A lot of reviews suggest that the fragrance is better suited for more mature men. I think its quite opposite- I can see a 16- 25 y.o. wearing it. Perhaps a mature masculine female might find it most appealing for an office meeting or a night out. But definitely not a man in his 40s (to give you a bit of perspective, I usually use Penhaligons Duro, Givenchy Gentleman and Mont Blank Legend, so I expected this one to be from the same league based on ingredients). I deliberately avoided calling it cheap because the quality of the fragrance, its longevity and packaging is definitely leaning towards upper end of affordable perfume. However, it just doesn't cut it for me to wear it. But, again, fragrance is subjective as it smells differently on every person. My advice- try it. Its not money lost as it comes in fantastic packaging which can always make a wonderful present for someone.

God no. My mum, bless her, is a little gullible and to her, everything on a screen is true. Got me some of this. It’s disgusting. Smells like a bad piney bath soak from the 1980s. Literally 40 something years old. Avoid like the plague.

Not sweet, no noticeable leather or tobacco notes and Anusol is more reminiscent of TF than this crap! Hopefully, the reviewer below will use her shill money to buy some integrity!

Smells like an attempt at cloning Oud Wood, but a very poor one, to put it bluntly. Don’t buy into the hype; there are far better options out there.

too much internet hype around this mediocre fragrance.... fortunately I only purchased the tester as it was a blind purchase... weak performance, fades after about 30 mins, smells way too herby on the front end and then a vague smell of swizzle stick lollipop.... for an hour or so....not for me.

Smelt 3 testers today and they all smell like something yer nan would wear. From furniture polish to cleaned toilet to potpourri. Surprised how bad this brand is. The adverts for these bottles of pi$$ are just as bad. Spray this on your enemy and no fcuker will go near them..

I will echo the other evaluators' sentiments. This is "paid for" social media hype with a very different reality. The fragrance is something of a mix of bug spray, mothballs, and funk. garbage toss waste of money.

Sweet tobacco leather. Reminiscent of TF.

I love it, but saddly terrible fixation.
