Citrine

A subtle scent that is also very good from opening to the tail end of dry down. For the first hour I find it is mainly about the Neroli (though not as damp as Rook Neroli). There is a soft lemon in the style of Laboratory Gorse. Also a hint of rose in the background- but only if you go looking for it. So natural and understated that it is solidly unisex. After the first 15 mins or so I found my personal scent bubble less noticeable but was surprised when re-entering the room later to find the whole room lightly coloured by it. By the 3 hour mark it is a skin scent and a great sandalwood based infusion on your clothes. Just so grateful there’s no musk or ambergris which spoil citrus drydowns for me. I don’t know what copaiba smells like but it works here and hopefully also has some of it’s health benefits too. Didn’t notice any orange fruit or smoke. Had to spray 4 times as much as a synthetic edp and then still only got a quarter of the sillage so at this price the scent will remain the preserve of millionaires who don’t like to shout about the wealth. In fact people might not even notice you’re wearing it but it will work it’s magic on their subconscious! Never was the phrase “less is more” so well demonstrated in a fragrance.

Citrine is a curious mix of woods and citruses with a very nice drydown. Some sort of clean and natural scent that is perceptible but never obtrusive. Longevity is not bad, at least a few hours. I would not call this a cheerful or sunny fragrance. The woods and resins give Citrine a little shade, more solar eclipse than sunny sky imo.
