Agave Nectar

Just bought this today while browsing through one of my favorite, unique fragrance/soap/candle/jewelry/one-of-a-kind boutiques!! I love this fragrance - it's very uplifting, delightful & juicy. The initial top note is juicy, ruby red grapefruit; followed by guava & lemon blossom. It is somewhat light - meaning, it's definitely not heavy or overwhelming. However, after I had sprayed it on in the store where I purchased it, I walked several blocks, went through other stores & shops, and I was pleasantly surprised how nice it's staying power was. In fact, I could catch wafts of myself with my movement & I really loved how uplifting & fresh I smelled!! Another good way to describe this is "optimistic" - it put me in a good mood! Some of my absolute favorite fragrances have been from unique, one of a kind boutiques or gift shops - fragrances that aren't necessarily mainstream & widely known of. That's what I love about it - I'm going to have something that no one else does - or far & in between at least! So far, I love this uplifting little gem (:

I first stumbled across this brand/house when I received the Agave Nectar soap as a gift from a dear friend last year. I lathered and slathered the uplifting foamy goodness of this divine product right down to the final slither last Spring/Summer. This Spring/Summer I will adorn myself in the magical mood-lifting properties of the cologne. After a brief failed affair with Aqua Allegoria Pamplelune's metallic twang, which I experienced in my mouth each time I wore it, I have found my PERFECT GRAPEFRUIT scent in THYMES AGAVE NECTAR (for half the price of the AA in Oz). It is everything AA Pamplelune promised to be from the bottle and was not. Infact, when that genie was released from its bottle it turned NASTY residing in my mouth with its rusty nail and soldered lead taste :( The juiced guava does not compete with, or override, the deliciously refreshing pink grapefruit note, I think they actually complement each other and may be the secret to this grapefruit composition staying true to a real grapefruit note on my skin. I gave my bottle of Pamplelune to a friend who admires citrus/aquatic aromas (she surfs) and it is a mutual love affair, they adore each other. She smells awesome in it. I am ecstatic to have finally found MY grapefruit.

Just got this in the mail, secondhand. First spray is juicy sweet grapefruit with a tart and tropical hint of guava, and after a few moments a musky soft floral I assume as lemon blossom gently wafts through. There's an underlying green freshness that reads like a cooling breeze through leafy foliage. Final impression, once it's all settled in, is fresh washed skin on a bright summer morning. It's really extraordinarily enjoyable in a simple, clean way. (One minor caveat, for the first 1 or 2 minutes, I kept occasionally getting a distinct "New Sneaker" chord. It was squeaky and chemical, like brand new foam composite or something. It eventually dissipated, thankfully. It could have ruined this for me...)
