Aqua Coralline

This is Summer in a bottle! At first spritz, it is a traditionally aquatic scent. The prerequisite driftwood,bamboo, water lily and lemon are definitely present and give the scent a comforting freshness and familiarity. However, as it settles the hanoki wood, yuzu and white cyclamen give it extra structure and depth, especially yuzu. It is like taking a dip into a refreshing pool and basking in the warm summer sun. The best part about this fragrance is that it carries it weight perfectly during the warm summer months. It lasts forever but is not overbearing or cloying/plasticy smelling like some aquatics can smell like. I could wear this all summer long, day and night.

This is in the tradition of Thymes, a very light and understated masterpiece. I get a refreshing, woody scent that hints at the slightest bit of spice. This is not your typical aquatic. It is almost not aquatic at all. It is a unique and modern twist on a beautifully refreshing idea. I tested this with the lotion sample packet which Thymes assures me caries the same concentration and formula of perfume. These lotions generally last me a couple of hours after application, and can be detected on the skin long after. These are soft-silage scents perfect for professional and scent-sensitive settings.

This was a blind buy for me and at first I did not like it but it grew on me, somewhat. Its zesty and lightweight when it opens (from the yuzu and bamboo), and then the woodsy notes become prominent. Its like sitting by the beach on a warm day and you can smell the driftwood and the ocean air. sometimes it gives off a citronella mosquito repellant vibe which induces a headache, but Ive noticed that because of its simple profile it can be paired with floral/fruity perfumes well (such as those containing pineapple or camellia. A real experience, really elevated the mood). The wood is light, almost hollow. Occasional lily vibe, but not so much.

I was intrigued by a name and was looking for unisex Summer beach fragrance. Also love yuzu, so wanted to check it out. Did not meet my expectations. Generic unisex citrus aquatic, smells up soon after application. It has a similarity to Versense (more green and better quality), so if you like that. Decently priced but nothing new. Wish notes were better quality, it could have been a wonderful scent.

very versatile unisex aquatic. could blend well with lots of other scents, and you'll need them to bolster this one. it's quite light and fades fast like most fresh/citrus/aqua frags. I appreciate having a summer scent with no coconut and where the water lily is present but not screaming. best part for me is the bright citrus opening, but i also enjoy the farthest end of it, when it's completely dried down and you just get the ghost of something pleasant and clean smelling that clings to you, like a sun-warmed blanket after you've spent all day playing in the sea.
